>final boss to kill is a tranny
oh wow Miyazaki, very bas-
>Tranny is revealed to be the real hero and you have been following the instructions of the real villain, a conservative white biological female
why do people like this game, this storytelling is last of us 2 tier.

pay attention to me reeee

Picrel Red/gold standard with a stylized hawk emblem:
>Is everywhere on the carpets in stormveil, tower bridge and the residental areas being examples, which is held by banished knights and exiled soldiers
>Is on O'neil and Niall's commander standard who summon ghostly banished knights and exiled soldiers, Niall oversees a castle with them too.
>Same stylized hawk emblem is on the banished knight shields in the top right corner
>On the red/gold cloth the few banished knights in the dragon areas have wrapped around their heads.

2nd picrel Red/gold banner with a dragon on it:
>Is everywhere on the walls in Stormveil, tower bridge and residential areas being examples, which is held by Banished Knights and exiled soldiers
>Is in roundtable hold (Leyndell) next to stockpiles of banished knight and exiled soldiers gear
>Is in Stranded Graveyard with ghostly banished knights and exiled soldiers
>It's noteworthy the alternate banished knight helmets (commander/godrick aligned) have a metal dragon on it
>Has a VERY similar red/gold sister banner that has a dragon face at the bottom of it that is various areas in Leyndell and Roundtable hold (Leyndell)

Banished knights:
>Has the flag/carpet stylized hawk emblem in their shield on the
>One helmet version has a metal dragon on its helm
>One helmet has the stylized hawk emblem as a cloth wrapped around it
>Are only in places linked with Stormveil, Leyndell, ghostly while serving under the standards I have mentioned, or vibing with dragons with the red/gold cloth
>Have big ass stockpiles of their gear in Stormveil and Leyndell
>Weapons, armor and shields all used decoratively Stormveil and Leyndell

Exiled Soldiers:
>Live versions are in stormveil
>Ghost versions are only in areas serving under the banners I have mentioned
>Have big ass stock piles of their weapons and shields in Stormveil and Leyndell as well.
>Shields decorate Stormveil and Leyndell walls as well

They gimped her hard.

Attached: melina2.jpg (640x837, 208.01K)

They're a pre-existing faction that has been thrown into exile.

My evidence:
>Banished Knights and Exiled Soldiers are all linked together by the dragon banner and the hawk standard in some way or another that I have detailed.
>The stormveil faction has dual emblems, the hawk and the dragon ones.
>The banished knights with the few red/gold hawk cloth are pro-dragon, warding off people from the dragon commune and defending Farum Azula. Still have O'niels banner emblem on them in two places btw
>Godwyn was a dragon fucker, befriended Fortissax, started the dragon cult which gave rise to a whole new faith
>No banished knights are found in Leyndell anymore, despite all their faded shit still lining the city everywhere in secondary to the yellow Leyndell tree banners
>They all do storm arts and so does Godrick, Godefroy, and Commanders O'Niel and Niall
>Godrick fucking sows a dragon to his arm btw
>The ones is stormveil are defending the "last heir of the golden lineage" more closely than Godrick's own men
>After Godrick surrenders to Malenia, O'niel and Godrick march on Caelid with her, where Godrick pulls a patches and dips "His lord was fled"
>Niall is leading ghostly banished knights and exiled soldiers in an attempt to give Godwyn a true death in Castle Sol via the Eclipse.

Oh yeah, and exiled soldiers shields and Banished knight armors and weapons can be found lining the battlefield outside Leyndell next to a hawk banner, indicating they are the second attack on Leyndell.
>"The Second Defense of Leyndell The Fell Omen stacks high the corpses of ''''HEROES'''' Yet the Erdtree remains unshaken
On that note, Godrick flees the capital prior to being in stormveil, so I think he wasn't in anyway responsible for the 1st siege, and that was more likely Godefroy, Radahn and some unnamed participants.
Godrick then returns in the second siege with his new soldiers.
>"One day we'll return together, to our home, bathed in rays of gold."
and fails

sister banner

They're soldiers of the roundtable, so despite being held in very high regard, they are banished prior at some point for unknown reasons and when they return to take their scity back and are killed, the defenders posthumously refer to them as "heroes" in the 2nd defense monument

I think Renalla's great rune is actually Ranni's. The phantom Renalla and Ranni's spell specifically comes out of the egg, we know Ranni relinquished her Great Rune and it doesn't make sense for the great rune to come from Radagon when Radagon is trying to mend the Elden Ring and really doesn't care about Renalla in general. I think Ranni either enchanted the egg Radagon gave her or tricked her into thinking it came from Radagon to try to protect her feelings.

i did not understand ranni's motives at all while playing the game even though i got all her dialogue sans the rogier stuff, it sounded like she just wanted to make everyone emotionless like a doll

But Rennala's Rune is about Rebirth, what does have to do with Ranni? If anything it makes more sense that either Ranni never inherited a Great Rune or was denied one as she was offended by the family's obedience to something she denounced. Either way it really doesn't matter.

I agree her ending is retarded in english and makes no sense whatsoever and couldn't be translated correctly.
But I also don't trust you to translate it for me, so there.

No she wanted to remove the abillity of humans and outer gods to interfere with the order of the world through their thoughts or actions. She departs on her space trip so the order can't be accessed by anyone on Earth.

yes i found that out after i beat the game

No, she does not. For whatever reason, Ranni and her distant siblings Miquella and Malenia are Empyreans, they are chosen children to ascend the throne, Ranni for whatever reason similar to Lothric the Younger in DSIII despises this edict but we don't know exactly why.

Ranni wanted to be free from being an Empyrean and the Greater Will. It makes sense that her great rune would be rebirth even if she never uses it and just becomes a ghost

>I also don't trust you to translate it for me
Time to learn Japanese then.

be sure to read John's story
>How I got 180/180 on N1 in ~8.5 Months!
rentry.org/9pe4o

But essentially what John's method IS:

* Start reading every day (and listening)
* Go through a grammar guide (like Tae kim or Cure Dolly)
* Go through a common vocab deck (like core2.3k)
* Mine stuff into Anki that you encounter in your Japanese media

A detailed guide of what John did can be found on

It probably has something to do with having an alien parasite manipulate you like a puppet and live inside your own body.

Go back

Reposting question. What is going on in terms of time, space and parallel universes in this game?

>When you first get to the Roundtable the game outright tells you: "The Roundtable Hold is located outside of this world, and fast travel by grace is the only means or reaching it"
>Fortified Manor is a complete mirror of it, to the point where it has items related to the characters in the Hold (you get a seedbed curse in the place the Dung Eater appears, Alberich's corpse where he invades, Hewg's hammer where he is and so on). It also starts to burn as the tree starts to burn (not as the capital starts to burn), as if it's being maintained by the tree.
>All the lore around invasions and co-op, even by in-game npcs, talks about invading worlds. What you do during invasions doesn't seem to affect your world and when you get invaded by Ensha it feels like you're in yet another Roundtable without anyone around.
>Evergaols seem similar in concept, specially the one locking the entrance to the Haligtree.
>Godslayer's Greatsword is supposed to be the GEQ's sword and the source of the black flame wielded by the apostles. It would be weird if there were 2 of it. Yet when you invade Vargram he is using it, as if he is also going through the game in his world.
>Wilhelm is said to have had a confrontation with Vargram and got imprisoned in the Roundtable Hold. Yet you invade both in the Fortified Manor.
>Vargram is said to be one of the first tarnished to visit the Roundtable, the fact that he is still around leads me to think it hasn't been that long since the first tarnished went there, but the Coded Sword description says: "Champions would gather at the Roundtable Hold in days long past, when the Two Fingers were masters of oration, their flesh yet full of vigor"
>Gurranq being dead and alive at the same time in Farum Azula and in the Bestial Sanctum.
>Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones and Placidusax.
>Farum Azula in general.

There is more but the comment is getting too long.

Friendly reminder that
primeval current - outer god
fell god of flame - outer god
dark moon - outer good
rot god - outer god
blood star - outer god
greater will - outer god
god of death - outer god
frenzy flame - outer god
gravity - outer god
crucible of life - outer god

>but we don't know exactly why
Yes we do she literally tells you

Wow, another thread spoiled at the very start by translation autists who aren't even here to discuss the lore, just to sow discord.
They're basically Shazam trannies, and it wouldn't surprise me if there was some overlap between them.

>primeval current - outer god
wrong
>gravity - outer god
wrong
>crucible of life - outer god
wrong
stop listening to schizos and grow a brain

i had noticed an instance or two of subject confusion, common problem with japanese translations. They weren't very consequential though, i don't think. I don't envy the job in the slightest.

>here in the lands between, EVERYTHING is an outer god!

It is Ranni's desire to release the Greater Will's grip on the lands between. She wants the lands between to be free of the influence of outer gods.

"I would keep them far from the earth beneath our feet."

I think it will prob backfire since the dark moon is an outer god, but her plan is to try and keep it's influence far from the lands between, out in space or whatever.

>since the dark moon is an outer god
i despise you and all other schizos like you

>Wrong

>No argument in opposition

>grow a brain

lol lmao even

>She wants the lands between to be free of the influence of outer gods.
retard
>I think it will prob backfire since the dark moon is an outer god
definitely a retard

thats why she only allowed the dark moon to rule for 1000 years, contingency incase it backfires.

Why does bonfire girl and blue witch have opposing missing eyes?

Why is Radagon the same person as Marika

Why do all the mages go barefoot but wear stone masks

What the fuck is the alien thing you gotta fight during Ranni's quest

Is the madness stuff like actual going batshit insane or is it meant to mean something else

Attached: 1618304721836m.jpg (768x1024, 135.57K)

Screenshot me so you can apologize when the DLC is released.

>All those cool names
>And then there is just "gravity"

done
when the dlc is released and has nothing to do with anything you WILL drive to where I live and give me a blowjob

Left just gravity in there jokingly, but whatever the alabaster and onyx lords worship is likely an outer god.

That's kinda gay bro

>but whatever the alabaster and onyx lords worship is likely an outer god.
they dont worship anything you schizo

Do they even worship anything?

It's SUPPOSED TO BE unclear about the lore, it's a simulation of when Miyazaki was a boy and he'd read American porn mags but couldn't quite clearly make out the jew propaganda so he had to fill in the blanks himself while he was shooting blanks.

This is what rope simps unironically want. Gay with a doll's body shaped like a flat young boy.

There is no proper "other timelines" explanations but I also don't think they're as explicit in the "other world" talk. Bernhal for example I can't remember implying you would go to other timelines, he just wanted to make sure you understood you would be killing Tarnished in general. There are inconsistencies like the item duping tho. I find it hard to get mad about little things like that since its just vidya contrivance desu but that's just a cop out as far as explanations go.

All magic is derived from outer gods. It's dumb to think their magic isn't. Whatever out god Astel is an emissary of is likely their god.

Pathetic head cannon formulated with the sole purpose of justifying the simping to the stupid doll.

Your meds, bro

>Why does bonfire girl and blue witch have opposing missing eyes?
no one knows.
>Why is Radagon the same person as Marika
It was some horse shit writing.
>Why do all the mages go barefoot but wear stone masks
The stone masks are Glintstone, the mages use it to increase magic potential.
>What the fuck is the alien thing you gotta fight during Ranni's quest
Astel? Its a maddening creature from far away that came into the world from a reality fissure.
>Is the madness stuff like actual going batshit insane or is it meant to mean something else
No, madness is based on your tangential connection to the Frenzied Flame. Which is a sin.

where does malenia poop

Different posters, rope simp.

Attached: Capture.png (367x107, 4.08K)

girls don't poop bro wtf

The stars are not outer gods
>B-but the blood star-
One singular exception.
The cosmos is not an outer god
The primeval current is not an outer god
The dark moon is not an outer god

She doesn't it just rots away in her bowels.

nigs don't understand some things are just beyond us as we are

Attached: cosmos.jpg (800x667, 548.28K)

I'm glad you are starting to come around, by accepting the blood star is an outer god.

Why do you think the blood star is and the primeval current isn't? Genuinely curious.

Raw Ranni ending discussion jap text:
>………

Shitty DeepL translation:
.........
...I knew you would notice. That's what I'm talking about.
Thought I'd tell you a little more about it.
About my law.
My law is not gold. It is the law of the stars and the moon, the law of the cold night.
...I wish to keep it far away from the land.
Life and soul, if they are to be with the Law, need only be far, far away.
Surely to see, to feel, to believe, to touch...
...all, it is better not to be able to do.
Therefore, I abandon the earth with the law.
But you will still follow me, won't you? Only one, my king.

This is also a shit translation, I don't want any of you niggers diving into the translation unless you actually know what you're talking about

Attached: ran.jpg (1280x1883, 497.77K)

What do you think Caelid is

do you have anything to back that up, or are you insisting on it because you don't want to accept the contrary opinion?

Down the throats of errant Tarnished wandering too close to the Haligtree roots

Remove outer god order/will/influence/whatever from the world. Keep it far away.

see feel touch blah blah - people won't be aware of her order, won't wage wars over it. Free will, rather than grace, and whatever others versions of such other outer gods have.

What’s the lore?

The elden ring is an amalgam of different powers that exist in the universe, the greater will is the the one who wants to gather more powers to be ruler of the cosmos. A lot of sweet powers are in the lands between. One of these was the crucible, the roots of the first erdtree. Dragons were given first rights as gods/elden lords since they were the most powerful at the time. The GW wanted to upgrade, so cometh Marika etc.

Along the way the GW has been incorporating new powers into the elden ring or trying to stamp out powers that are problematic, like the fell god and gloam eyed queen. These other gods however still retain some influence and have been manifesting in Marika and Radagon through their offspring. This sets the stage for the shattering and a chance to reclaim power from the GW.

Blood Star is associated with Aberrant Sorceries, which require Faith and don't use Intelligence at all. Primeval, Glintstone, Gravity, Carian, Frost, and so on spells do not require Faith at all. They are not affiliated with any divine source, only natural fonts of power like the Primeval current.

>The guilty, their eyes gouged by thorns, lived in eternal darkness. There, they discovered the blood star.
NIGGER THE BLOOD STAR IS MENTIONED ONCE WHY THE FUCK WOULD IT BE AN OUTER GOD
THIS GAME IS LIBERAL AS FUCK WITH NAMING THINGS OUTER GODS, IF IT DOESN'T NAME SOMETHING AS AN OUTER GOD IS IT PROBABLY NOT A GODDAMN OUTER GOD
fuck I'm mad

They're disciples of Godrick, a three time loser and weakest Runebearer.

Briars from the blood star, primeval school of sorcery from the primeval current, erdtree and golden order funadmental incantations from the GW, magma from the serpent diety cited in the serpent-gods curved sword description, cold spells from the dark moon (frozen armament, freezing mist), death school of spells from the death god per spell descriptions, etc etc.

>seething so hard about muh translation
That doesn't make her ending sounds better, faggot. I have read both.

The world is shit because of her actions, and people are going to latch onto whatever religion promises them salvation.
The "order" means absolutely nothing, because humans are going to make whatever is the strongest, or the most influential the new order anyways.

outer gods

The amount of progressive themes in this game are seriously unreal. The final boss is canonically a non binary transsexual. Look at the names of the major characters. (T)Ranni. Miquella. Godwin/Godfrey. It’s all ab bunch of LGBT bullshit propaganda. Really disgusted that fromsoft has catered to this bullshit

Can you make a big pic so I can save the post?

Some of the more insane TWLID spirits.
They are really weak to holy damage, and even get killed by heal incantations.

Reading through the last thread. A lot of you are genuinely retarded.
Most conclusions you are able to make are meant to be inferred. Demanding proof for anything destroys the conversation.
I know autism prevents some from actually thinking abstractly about things, and makes you have tunnel vision, but try your best.

The user that insists that every person alive during the events of the game is technically TWLID is the worst of all.

Attached: 1651036465651m.jpg (576x1024, 71.6K)

no I am lazy.
Just copy paste it into an text file idk

>An aberrant sorcery, discovered along with red glintstone by those exiled to the north for their crimes.
>An aberrant sorcery discovered by exiled criminals.
>The guilty, their eyes gouged by thorns, lived in eternal darkness. There, they discovered the blood star.
>A heretical staff fashioned from a smoldering, withered sapling that turns the blood of sacrifices pierced by it into glintstone. Similar to hex magic. Sorceries are scaled with faith rather than intelligence when wielding this staff which enhances Thorn (Aberrant) sorceries in particular.
>Mad Tongue Alberich's pointed hat, a sign of a heretical practitioner. Set with red glintstones said to be formed by the blood of sacrifices.
>A device of fearsome religious encouragement, it is fashioned in the image of the briars of sin.
I think there's enough contributing evidence to say that the Blood Star is a god of some sort.
