Wish I could play Sims on the PS2 again

That's what I liked. the Sims 1 on PS2 was kinda my "speedrun" game. I'd start a new file and do every objective as fast as I could, then make a new file.

The only thing that bothered me about this was that there were no stairs

The campaign/"Get a life" mode was fucking fantastic and really should have been implemented in every numbered entry in the series

I liked the Gba bustin' out.

It was the object limiter for me

I remember that in the sims 1 on ps2 you'd unlock items for beating the "levels" within a time limit

The GBA Sims 2 had some bizarre plotline about making a reality show where you play as an actor infiltrated in Strangerville there was also a bunch of weird commercial break minigames you had to play

The PS2 Sims 2 have a similar premise where you are a guest at each house and must complete a variety of missions with the current family before you are invited to become a guest at another house.

3 by far. you don't need some of the expansions, they break shit, but it doesn't matter, because the base game is broken already and there is no fix for it.
The save files get too big and bloated. You'll be careful, save every hour, but after a couple days on your world, it's unable to be saved again. it's a shame because it's by far the best Sims, the open neighborhood, fucking around with all your options.
sims 4 plays smoother, doesn't really need fixes, but i also played it the least out of all 4 main entries. thousands of hours on 1, 2, and 3, less than fifty on 4.
