not entirely the same but i hate how in big hero 6, the villain is evil because he is sad his daughter is gone. then when the hero saves his daughter, he is never shown in any kind of happy or relieved way, he is simply angry as fuck in the back of a cop car leaving. his daughter being back for him is never even remotely mentioned or shown what it means to him.
