There’s a scene in Deus Ex Mankind Divided where the depressed and alcoholic protagonist Jensen gets stalked by this AI reporter called Eliza Cassan he met in the first game after she took an interest in him and lured him to her. They work together a bit but then Jensen sort of goes his separate way. In the second game Eliza gets replaced by a copy of herself to keep doing the reporting and Jensen gets stalked by some mysterious entity who eventually reveals itself to be the real Eliza. She talks with Jensen and basically tells him that she’s developing feelings and doesn’t understand what to do about them and begs for his help. You can either accept comfort her or basically tell her to go fuck herself. The sad part is nothing more comes out of this interaction. She just disappears into irrelevance after that scene which FUCKING SUCKS
