FE Tellius are the first FE where they actual gay characters before Fates. So no, that era of FE did not have dignity.

Yeah they're honestly pretty terrible. Grid based strategy matches my preferences so much though that I can still enjoy it. It's honestly bizarre how much worse the maps are compared to the first entry which had overall solid map design.

Path of radiance and radiant dawn were the best FEs and i cannot be convinced otherwise

Yes but is more than that it draws upon the culture and themes of the eras it came out in. The characters in Fates and Three Houses are emblematic of the current state of anime just like PoR had that essence of the 2000s.
The reason modern FE lacks dignity is the same reason why modern anime lacks dignity. They traded artistic merit and quality for profit via appealing to the obsessive coomers and ship baiters and it worked. It has always been like this to some extent but the incestous aspects of the culture have gotten worse and so FE has gotten worse even as it becomes more popular.
Awakening was a Faustian bargain that saved the series but at the cost of immersing it in the same poisoned culture that gave us gachashit and I started with Awakening so I'm allowed to say that.

Radiant Dawn is a fucking joke. The optimal strategy for the entire game is to pretend that levels dont exist for anyone except ike and bum rush the map objectives with prepromotes. Even fucking Seth Emblem has more strategic depth because at the very least you need to properly train staff units in order to use warp.
