I see no reason to rush back to 2D. They managed pretty much the perfect transition to 3D their first go around and it feels fucking great
Next stop is just overall more ambition when it comes to level design/structure, and adding more powers/complexity to power movesets

Is the Switch version less boring than Mario 3D World? I liked that game, the level design is good, but it has a very "boring" aspect during the experience, maybe because everything is a little too easy but at the same time you need to repeat the levels several times if you want 100%.

we just straight up fight the ancients who've asended to absolute power that'd make even the other final bosses look tame in comparison.
though the final attack is going to be hard to top between big sword, super lazer, DRILL and ramming a truck up the ultimate lifeforms ass it'd have to be something completely absurd and over the top.

Needs deeper combat. The whole "wait for openings" shit worked better in 2D when dodging attacks proved a challenge due to the small arena, it's just tedious in 3D.

I think they should do these changes for the next game:
>increase enemy aggression and/or amount of enemies
>increase enemy and especially boss health
>increase the number of moves copy abilities get
>Let Kirby have two copy abilities and freely swap between them
>Add a lock on for directional inputs for attacks
>Add a style/combo meter
>Also bring some of these abilities back:

If we do get to see the paradise humans are living on now, I think it would be cool if Adeleine invites Kirby and friends + Magolor to her home world for a vacation, with none of them aware that humans are descendants of "the ancients"
