Here's your "Persona 5 on PC, Switch, and Xbox" announcement bro

What the FUCK is their problem?

The only explanation is that sony paid for it to be an exclusive and they're not allowed to port it

I played Persona 5 and didn't even like it that much. Are the other ones better?

don't care. dead series

Depends on what you didn’t like about 5.

I didn't really enjoy 5 either, but I LOVED 3 and 4. idk though, seems like most other people think 5 is the best one.

Why are you getting so mad?

Holy shit it's like the crybabies over at bloodborne.
If you want to play the game, get a ps4.No ifs, ands or buts, and don't bother replying to my post about your stupid excuse or how it's not fair or sonykeks or whatever the fuck you're going to say because I'm not going to read your replies to this.

We're not arguing over this, get a ps4 to play the game or shut the fuck up.

>The only explanation is that sony paid for it to be an exclusive and they're not allowed to port it
For it to be this long they must have payed up the ass.

I found hanging out with confidants in 5 kinda boring, and it's such a large portion of the game since I'd clear every palace in 1 day or as few days as possible. Do 3 and 4 have more fun confidants? Also, how different are the first and second game from the modern ones?

Trust the heart user

Weak characters, way too much style over substance, weak bosses, weak story, strong presentation but what does it matter when you don't like the characters and the combat is worse than the previous titles.

I thought they did by far, but again idk my opinion seems to be the minority. I thought the cast in 5 had nice visual designs but were otherwise boring as fuck.

1 and 2 might as well just be another SMT spinoff which they are, but you know what I mean.

If smt games don't have the calendar based ingame time, then I assume I'd like them way more.

What the fuck is up with Japan milking anniversaries? Its 25th anniversary was last year and yet they are still fucking working on it almost 2 years later.

>I found hanging out with confidants in 5 kinda boring, and it's such a large portion of the game since I'd clear every palace in 1 day or as few days as possible
4 is similar in the sense that you will 100% clear the dungeon in 1 day, however I think the characters and setting is much better than 5. Way more fun. 3 has a fatigue system specifically designed to stop you from doing the entire dungeon crawling section in 1 day.
>how are 1 and 2
1 is nothing at all like the Persona series, it's much more similar to SMT. 2 is in a middle ground. It has a lot of familiar elements that are similar to Persona but not quite. If 3 4 and 5 are your core persona, 2 is like that mixed with a traditional SMT game.

They start planning for their anniversaries way too late so they don't have anything to show or release until a year or two after. Annoys the fuck out of me.

I cannot express how disappointed I was by the final phase of the final boss.

They're retards. Sonic had a bigger 19th anniversary than a 20th anniversary

they whole point was a big celebration. 7 announcements over a year or something
So far we're 4 or 5 announcements in and the only halfway good one was Ultimax being brought to Steam, everything else has been gay concerts or merch releases and like, Cafe' shit.
Last announcement is hopefully gonna be literally ANYTHING of substance

Those concerts are always awesome. They should sell SPWN tickets for them, waiting for the blu-ray sucks.
Persona Music Live 2012 still the best.

4 just has better everything. Better music, better story, better characters, better grafx, better atmosphere, and I'm going to get shit for this but better dungeons. 5's clearly had more work put into them, but imo that ended up somehow to its detriment.

>cockblocks you out of fighting justine and carol
I didn't realize I would've actually gotten to fight them instead of that boring cockblock of a slideshow if I'd done a little bit more beforehand.

Persona 5 was announced at a concert, retard.

I'm only retarded if this actually leads to an announcement. Otherwise it's just a gay concert.

holy fuck, I thought I was the only one who thought this. Yeah, P4's dungeons weren't good, and handcrafted dungeons was the way to go, but the ones in P5 are straight garbage. Mementos was the best part of the game.
It's less that the dungeons in 4 were better and more that the ones in 5 sucked.

4 struck a balance. Tartarus always felt.....the exact same, which gets dull. 4 has some personality but the dungeons are simplistic in design. 5 I wouldn't say overdesigns but there's too much to it making a lot of the dungeons feel like "that part" sections.

>the only halfway good one was Ultimax being brought to Steam
If we're being real, that wasn't good either frankly. No one but ballsweaters give a fuck about fighting games anymore. It just looks good in comparison to the other absolutely horrid announcements.

It makes zero sense not to fucking say so, even if its infuriating. However literally everything else has been ported by now and it makes no sense for them to go on about this. Persona 4 Golden sold a fuckload coming to PC for instance, and even Strikers released properly on Steam - there's zero reason for exclusivity after all this time. And if they really did pay for permanent exclusivity then they need to come out and say so (the same for any other form of temporary or permanent exclusivity) so we can avoid the companies involved in this bullshit - its twice as insulting when they won't even confirm their bullshit

>the literal physical divide between oldsona and nusona protags
kek atlus are cold even in their anniversary art

>If we're being real, that wasn't good either frankly.
Eh, I wanted to play them and didn't feel like getting an 360 or PS3 to play them. If nothing else it's a cool novelty.

>then they need to come out and say so
Maybe that's in the clause.

Put 3 on PC instead

Alright tooshay, I guess I'm just projecting a bit.

Persona 4 Golden was an exclusive for 8 long years, you guys will have to wait just a bit more.

Honestly, I think its just that Atlus is stupid. They won't release their lazy remasters to Xbox, but then they release their newest game on Xbox while skipping the Switch. Its like they go out of their way to make the dumbest business moves possible.

Nah bub you're right. Im likely going to buy it when it gets rollback but so many years on it's just underwhelming

>Vita
>Exclusive
To all five owners of it

I agree with everything except dungeons. You can only notice the fault in the level design of P5 because there is level design there in the first place, P4 is simply corridors and nothing more, it genuinely lacks levels in it's entirety, it's atrocious.

They'e had no real breakout material in the last few years apart from Demon Slayer. New media has pretty much stagnated worldwide and nostalgia is the only real market now.

>Persona 4 Golden was an exclusive for 8 long years
and it sold its lifetime sales on PC in what, 6 months? Should be wake up call

People bought PSTV's to play P4G, that's how strong of a system seller it was.

It sold 500k copies in a single month on Steam, so yeah, probably.

Attached: 1621312659082.png (1152x824, 877.55K)

>take 12 year old game
>make lazy port in a couple hours
>release it on steam
>make 10 million dollars in a month
>decide it's a fluke and don't release the sequel
I hate Atlus like you wouldn't believe

The switch couldn't even run fucking the Kingdom Hearts collection which was mostly just ps2 games, theres no way it can run Persona 5.

They announced it reached 1 million by 6 months, and Golden only sold like 1.2 million lifetime sales on the Vita

>Atlusfag
>not idort
fucking poorfags

>make lazy port in a couple hours
>release it on steam
>make 10 million dollars in a month
you forgot the most important part
it was a shadow drop, they did this without ANY marketing

I'm on my 4th playthrough of Persona 5 (2nd Royal play), ask me anything.

Attached: Persona 5 Royal_20200429125511.png (1920x1080, 2.12M)

what's your relationship with your father?

If so that's a huge amount of bullshit at least for this time. You'd think even if it was the case there would be some continual desire to monetize it, like a PS5 "ONLY ON SNOY FOREVER HAHAHAHAHAA" upgrade or something. Still such things should not be supported.

This may be true, but SEGA usually isn't. They realize that everything from Valkyria to Yakuza does well on PC via Steam and they should do the same with Persona 5 Royal Complete (P4G, P3, etc..alreadyh have!) and all the Vanillaware titles they can.

Complete the Thieves Den user.

Didn't have one for most years of my life, mom slept around a lot and finally nabbed a really awesome dude when I was 13 or 14. He's been my dad ever since even after she passed away a few years ago, I'm 30 now.

LMAO checks out

What's your profession? What do you do for money?

Woah... it's almost as if people will buy your game if it's on a real platform...
Atlus probably didn't even notice it.

P5R Dancing All Night incoming

I'm trying. Here's a copy of my list of things left to do on it:

1. Beat all retro games (1 left)
5. Romance all confidants (romance, save, reload earlier save) Futaba, Haru, Kasumi left.
13. defeat reaper 2 more times
14. Defeat Lavenza

Then I'll finally be done that dumb thieves den thing.
I work minimum wage for a shitty thrift store while writing a book.

what type of book?

post a page of your book

A fantasy novel, think early 1900's but magic is commonplace and even mundane.
Not confident in that yet. I have 15 chapters finished and I'm only halfway done the book, all are first drafts. Once I'm finished getting the info into chapter formats I'll revise, edit and rearrange until I'm happy with posting it somewhere for criticism.

gimme a synopsis
what's the general plot?

>HOT NIGHT

Attached: 2.jpg (600x531, 34.06K)

>the company that committed mass suicide to their brand by releasing games on steam paid for exclusivity so it couldn't be ported
No sega and atlus are just fucking retarded. Not that it matters because persona 5 is literal fucking garbage compared to the first 4 games. It doesn't even have an original idea to claim

Takemi is a shit character.

Without getting too specific, a girl meets a guy who's extremely ambitious. She drops her current lot in life to help him only to be increasingly put off by the lengths he'll go to realize his dreams. The girl is overly emotional, he is logical to the point of sounding sometimes sociopathic. She'll learn to "meet halfway" and develops as a person while the man spirals down a path that makes him into the main antagonist.
HOT.
you're a shit character!

Attached: rough night.jpg (720x547, 28.47K)

>you're a shit character!
Yes, I am. Doesn't change the fact that Takemi is shit too.

actually sounds kinda interesting
where can I get it once it's done?

Wasn't the last Persona anniversary announcement set for Fall? So they're likely announcing P6 at this, right?

lol

Physically, if all goes well. I haven't found an agent or a publisher yet (I'll think about the hard stuff once I'm actually done) but I've never liked digital format books much, every book I've ever read is on my shelf.
I'll probably shill a little on Yea Forums once I'm more confident and close to completion!
How rude. Takemi is wonderful.

I mean when you hack those things they're actually awesome. Being able to use USB storage is a godsend

Why wouldn't Sony be yelling from the rooftops about the exclusivity they paid for?
How long is the exclusivity? 10 years? Why would Atlus agree to that while losing money from other platforms for no reason? Why would Sony pay such exorbitant amount of money if they could instead pay for developing their own games, or get several 1 year timed exclusives?
>Persona 4 Golden sold a fuckload coming to PC for instance
It was a 1st actual Persona on Steam, so it had a novelty factor and, most importantly, it was at bargain bin price of $20
>Strikers released properly on Steam
And it utterly bombed at $60. Same as SMTIII HD.
Atlus won't release P5 at $20.
Same reason P4G wasn't ported to Switch and PS4. They don't want to price it at $20

P3 Story
P4 Atmosphere
P5 Dungeons
There I just made the perfect game
