Because we care about video games and had high hopes for Platinum, when Clover got disbanded and somewhat reformed as Platinum they tried to sell it as not being held back by Capcom but we all can see how that turned out. On paper Platinum still has potential to make great games and talented devs working for them so it's baffling why they keep churning out absolute horseshit when left unchecked. But you wouldn't know any of that because you're not on Yea Forums to discuss video games but to treat it as Yea Forums2.0 because you have no friends and crave any type of interaction

They don't realize how niche Bayonetta is. It's quite funny that no one else but Nintendo wanted to fund the sequel, not Sega the publisher, not Microsoft and Sony, on which consoles Bayonetta was actually released, but Nintendo, which was kept fucking up with their consoles at the time.
Rising had a cult following mainly on Yea Forums and along really niche action game audience, and only recently it became popular to wider audience. In fact "mainstream" at time of release was angry about no stealth in a Metal Gear game (which was also the worst part of the game and it honestly would be better if they actually got rid off it completely in the final game)

Was platinum games ever really that good? They immediatelly hitched their ride to the wii because they thought there'd be a market for mature waggle shit. That flopped because Wii owners are babies that literally only played the packin games because mommy wouldn't buy anymore. Then they floundered around releasing shitty licensed games and occasionally releasing a decent beat em up.
They're midgrade, no more no less. I miss Clover.

A lot of people were annoyed that the standard editions either didn't include Bayo 1 at all, or had it as a download only code. The special edition which had both games on physical cartridges sold out instantly and it left a sour taste in my mouth desu. Obviously only speaking for myself here, but I recall others voicing their displeasure at some of the choices they made at the time as well.
