I don't get why people say Revengeance ruined Raiden having a happy ending when MGS4 made his wife lie to him, literally turned him into a human blender, and gave him twice as much PTSD. He was never going to have a normal life after that.

I legitimately think that his revengeance body is one of the best protagonist designs in all of video games. It's just perfect.

Well it's a bit annoying when characters are supposed to change and make these declarations only to come back and be back at square one. The issue is there was never supposed to be a sequel after 2, so with 4, and MGR they have to write new problems for Raiden to go through. I just take them all as stand alones really that way the message isn't blurred. 2 is the only one that's meaningful really. 4 and MGR is mostly contrived fanservice.

Bosses are 10/10 worth it.
Rest is pretty damn bad desu. Camera is crap, combat isnt like dmc and bayonetta where there's actual finesse to the fighting system.
I will go to my grave and say that DmC is a better game (PC version that is with locked 60fps and the rest of the updates) than Rising ever was.
The lows in Rising are playing the lambada at the earths core along with Bullet Witch.
But the highs fucking soar.
You need Rising to exist for DMC5 to be as good as it is. Find it at a discount and you will not be disappointed. Or just pirate it.

Dante is easy going chill dude with a sense of humour.
