i like the single target build for the shart laser
its no cutter, but the range is nice for rival presence

I'm a greenbeard and I've been playing driller just because it feels nice to be helpful and sometimes it's truly amazing when you just optimize the path back to pod, or drill through a ton of shit to revive a downed teammate.
I'll leave nobody behind and always try to at the very least not be a waste of time to the rest of the team. My only wish is that I could choose my voicelines because it's hit or miss with the quality of the shit dwarfs say.

driller is my favorite class. such a massive abyss of skill for him. bad drillers are worse than scouts
freezing team mates to inflate their kills, c4 attempts in the middle of defending a location, not mining out obvious terrain hinderances like giant crystal or xeno skeletons.
at least with driller its more of an understanding of his tools than actual skill.

yeah I really started to learn to also pace myself with drill usage especially if the end requires an otherwise painful hike back, but it's quite rewarding to help that much.
I think a good driller barely gets noticed and I'm fine with it, if teammates think about me it's usually because I haven't drilled a place I should have already or I'm hitting them with the flamethrower.
Bottom line is, I enjoy being a dwarf and our point is to mine so driller feels like a true calling for me (but I'm sure I'll enjoy scout and engineer in the future.. gunner, ehhh)

It's combat focused but you can play on super easy mode and rely on an ai robot to do most of your killing

its not minecraft with guns, its l4d with digging

You're using it wrong. electric damage oc for single target or EM discharge for CC. You need to take breach or laser as your secondary for big bugs

Pheromone bolts are good. Taser bolts don't seem incredibly useful to me but I guess they're good if you're running a Bullets Of Mercy build or something. Explosive bolts seem like hot garbage. The standard bolts are pathetic.
