ok then, give me a torrent link.

>pretentious witty redditshit: the video game
yeah you're right

...why would you buy this game? It was an art project that has no reply value.

You're absolutely right, It's worth $16 if you already bought the original game on Steam :)

SUCKERS

Yes

they should have called this The Stanley Parable: Ultra Bucket top kek

Never was.

*If you buy it before the end of the week, better buy it fast or you're missing out! You don't want to miss out do you user? Are you getting fomo yet, user? Not much time to decide, get that whopping $4 discount that you paid $15 for by the end of the week!

This especially pisses me off. Not only is the "upgrade to deluxe in case you have the original" price reduction way too low, it's also timed for no fucking reason at all?

It is thought ? Most people here pay for a gay MMO subscription every month. Also 20$ is cheaper than buying a mount for those said MMO

Every MMO except for RuneScape is a social tool for a culture that no longer exists. They have nothing to give you and everything to take.

Hence why The Stanley Parable is relatively cheap for what it gives.

The Stanley Parable was fine, the Ultra Deluxe edition gives you two extra jokes:
>Play through the entire game again but with a bucket
>Hey player, did you know that The Stanley Parable was a GAME that RELEASED a long time ago, and that people had OPINIONS about it!?!

True, it's bloated and unnecessary. The only thing ultra deluxe adds to the original game is gags, and it runs them into the ground. Literally plebbit tier.
hl2 mod > standalone > ultra deluxe

They added a ton of new shit other than that idiot. Fuck off back to pol

i enjoyed the original for like $5 on sale. what did they even add that justifies $20?

Like what? For clarification, anything involving the bucket goes under Joke 1, and any requested feature they added or time spent ruminating about the original release or development of the sequel goes under Joke 2.

Are you implying runescape is somehow not a complete waste of time?

Honestly I've now changed my mind and agree with you.

It's sad, I was looking forward to this release but the new content feels so inconsequential. Even the demo to the original felt like it was worth more money than this remake.

What about the skip ending or the epilogue ?

Maybe I would be more forgiving if it wasn't in development for 4 years. they could have added more branches than just the elevator. They let you jump but non of the out of bound areas in the main map have new secrets.

I'm implying that RuneScape was the only MMO that bothered to have a game alongside the hours of tedious grinding meant to encourage you to socialize with other players. MMOs only worked in the past because most people on the Internet and in those games were competent and/or interesting and interacting with people online in that scale was still a novelty. You can choose to spend dozens of hours grinding skills to 99 in RuneScape, but you only need to grind a relatively short amount to be able to experience the game's quests which culminate in one of the best Point & Click Adventure experiences ever made.

The skip button was added because people complained about not being able to skip through dialogue in the original game. I'm not sure what you mean by the epilogue, maybe I didn't see it.

Too much of the new content is just the Companion Cube jokes, just about a bucket instead. All the other new stuff is great, but there isn't much of it, and the bucket content is pretty lame.

That skip ending was cool as heck though. You need to start the game 4 time for the epilogue btw

It's hilarious that the day this came out as a shitty remake of a nothing game on a new shitty engine I was the one telling people they were suckers for buying this overpriced shit and all the redditors here were telling me to fuck off and posting "le bucket is a lie xD" in the most cringe and ironic way. Now everyone has played all 4 hours of content and suddenly realized the developer made about $2 million dollars off their idiocy. There was never any question. Pay attention next time SUCKERS.

I really fucking liked it desu. The new content is short but almost completely recontextualises the game for me.

The original version was about death of the author and ludonarrative dissonence, this version of the game is about how all art is meaniingless and were all going to die.

Who said it was?

I played thousands of hours of runescape (before quitting MMO's forever) but don't remember a single quest, I was just grinding and selling shit to people. I always assumed other MMO's were more sophisticated and I was playing the shitty free one but it seems the entire genre is brain dead time wasting.

Yeah, the entire genre is just a glorified chat room. Some people here were hyping up an EverQuest private server so I thought I'd give the game a try, turns out the entire leveling process is standing around a group of enemy spawn points with a 5-man team for hours grinding the same mobs for exp, until you level up enough to be able to grind a different group a mobs. And this was the pinnacle of gameplay that inspired both FFXI and WoW and I'm sure others.

I'll admit that Point & Clicks are a niche genre, but there's really no game that does it better than RuneScape. Witty, tongue-in-cheek writing, substantial, often game-changing rewards, puzzles that don't treat you like a fucking child, I'd even go so far as to say that RuneScape outdoes most modern RPGs in terms of writing and quest design. And yes, the beauty of RuneScape's quests are easy to miss if you're a number-huffing troglodyte like most MMOs train you to be, especially today where it's a solved game and everything is neatly laid out on the wiki.

You sound like a faggot.

>Yea Forums 3 days ago
>"THIS GAME IS AMAZING"
>"WE'VE GOT A BUCKET NOW HOLY SHIT"
>"THEY ADDED THIS THING THAT LETS YOU ALTER THE ENDINGS"
>"I JUST FOUND A NEW SECRET ENDING HERE."
>"IF YOU COLLECT ALL THESE, RESTART THE GAME X AMOUNT OF TIMES, GO HERE AND DO THAT, YOU UNLOCK A NEW SUPER SECRET ROUTE"

>Yea Forums today
>"WAAA I HATE VIDEO GAME COST TOO MUCH"
>"IT'S NOT FUNNY WTF WTF"
>"IT'S REDDIT BECAUSE I DON'T LIKE IT"

What happened?

>Bringing the bucket in buttons heaven does nothing
I want my money back

Contract ran out for the paid shills

It's the same with every game, I got Undertale like 2 days after it launched becase everyone on Yea Forums loved it, when I finished the game I came back and to check Yea Forums and the threads were pretty much like this one.

>filters Yea Forums

It's worth $30 based on that alone.

Yea Forums is eternally contrarian.
It's why they no longer make Musicals.

People saw too many other people liking something so they have to hate it to be cool.

Reddit said good things about the game, so now we hate it.

>the guy in the menu is employee 432
>in the epilogue he mentions narrator

I never thought it was good

The bucket stuff is neat until you realize that's literally all there fucking is.

It's alright, think people are overacting about it. Though that's usually the case on Yea Forums, something has to be 10/10 GOAT or it's 0/10 dog shit. It was a solid 6.5 imo, would be better with more content that wasn't just the bucket and a lower price too.

one of my biggest buyer's remorse

I had never played it before and it was pretty interesting, but I felt it would have been more impactful in 2013. It still had a few surprises though, like when the narrator throws you into two other games

I really want more games with the mood of the "Skip button" one. That lonely feeling of time wasting away in a room and things starting to break down around you, I love how the room was just slowly degrading, first a few drops from the pipes, then more, then it caves in.

I got my 5 hours of enjoyment out of it, just like with the original. idk why so many people expect this to be a game you would want to replay over and over. its great the first time, but once you see all the scenarios its not something you go back to. was that worth $16? I thought it was, but I can also see why many anons would think its a waste of money since there isnt really much more new content. will come back to it in 10 years for the cheev

>jumping out of the hole doesn't trigger unique dialogue
sucks

Attached: can't get this figley either.jpg (2560x1440, 802.54K)

why does fov 90 feel way higher than 90 usually looks like? I'm usually a faggot about fov but I left it at the default 76 because 90 was too high

The new game endings that replaced Minecraft and portal? Figley collecting? Boss elevator ending?

I was surprised to see that they changed the games for that sequence, in the original they use Minecraft and Portal. Though after seeing both versions of the sequence I still think the original did it better. I especially like how there's another ending where you can softlock yourself in Portal by throwing the cube through the door.
youtube.com/watch?v=PEx2xP1v8PM&t=601s

I'll also add, the alternative mind control facility endings even though they're bucket related. Plus the mind control out of bounds ending

its the problem with gaming today, people don't see the value in games unless they're SERVICES designed to last forever. They want their games to be padded to shit experiences that last them 100s of hours so they feel they got value out of it.

might be because its built in unity engine in a way thats meant to feel like source engine. 90 fov in source isnt as much as 90 fov in unity is what im thinking because I felt the same while playing, and dropped it back down to the default

Were you not around here when the first one came out? Could've seen it coming.

It's probably a joke meant to fuck with people who change fov

its hard to complain about games having too much content, but at the same time youre absolutely right that so many games are just riddled with filler content that makes the games way longer than they ever should be. and thats not even considering going for 100%. maybe part of my resentment for these types of games is due to being an adult with much less free time. if I was a kid I would have loved getting a game that could last me hundreds of hours with tons of extra content, since that would be the only game I would play until the next birthday/christmas holiday. but now I much prefer games like stanley parable which are shorter, tighter experience.

>what did they even add that justifies $20?

People pay more for garbage remaster with cut content.
