I finished playing shining pearl and decided to try an older pokemon so I played emerald. So much more soul despite some lack of QoL changes that were present in SP. This seems to be the norm for nintendo these days. Just look at MK8 deluxe courses. To be fully released END OF 2023 LMAO. You mean there won't be a MK9 before then?

It all just feels very shallow. None of the games are really that fun outside of Tennis and Bowling which work the same as they did before. Badminton is effectively the same as Tennis which makes it pointless.
Bowling seems a bit more difficult to get strikes now but that might just be me.

It's Wii Sports with online, really.
The Tennis and Chambara are pretty much how they were originally, with the former being a lot less waggle-heavy (spamming the swings will either make you whiff or get an out, so timing actually matters). Badminton feels kind of like Tennis, but with more emphasis on how you swing than the timing of your swings. It feels pretty nice.
The clothing unlocks being time-based kind of sucks though, everyone you play against looks the same because of how limited the defaults and the current unlocks are.

Physical's more expensive but comes with the legstrap for soccer. I heard it's kind of gimmicky though, compared to quick wrist flicks. I went with digital, personally.
