Katawa shoujo
I remember that one....
I miss the original vn english translation fandom.
I havent read much, but currently Fata Morgana is my favourite VN. Saya's song is overrated as fuck
Tasteless retard.
Superhuman, it has big titty goth GFs.
I feel the same about you. Saya no Uta is an okay read but it has so many plotholes and gets too edgy for no reason sometimes. I get that this was the VN that got people into this genre, but its time to admit is was not a good read. Fata Morgana despite its some flaws, the core story is insanely good and its no wonder it filtered lots of Yea Forumstards
Baldr Sky because it has gameplay.
Full Metal Daemon: Muramasa.
I'm pretty sure the author is autistic
Trying to read Subahibi but I am getting filtered by not understanding what the FUCK is going on
Saya was and always will be good contrarian scum fuck. Morgana is a trannyge
seacats
Muv-Luv
Demonbane
fpbp
Granted I only read an hour of Saya's song but Morgana had a better structure overall with its seemingly self contained stories
Plus the plot in Saya is completely unscientific
Don't feed the troll. They're completely different VNs and not comparable in themes, genre, or any level beyond the surface level.
>Morgana is a trannyge
Zero trannies in Fata.
>Saya was and always will be good
Yeah I remember when the protagonist even if he was conscious about his unique illness, had still to treat his friends like pieces of shit and I never understood that since everyone human was described as a fleshy blob and vice cersa, how his touch sensation works
Saya no Uta (uncensored)
Is that the one where it has a scene of a girl giving the MC some cryptic foreshadowing and philosophy and the dude thinks she's just retarded and weeps for her future?
I don't understand the appeal of the series, I played all of them because I wanted to see what the hype was about but Extra was fairly boring, Unlimited was a little better and had an interesting concept, Alternative just annoyed me while playing it.
I spoke to other people and read about why people like it and I was told that it's not something you're meant to enjoy but suffer through.
How does that make it good?
Erika's kissable collarbones..
every vn is unscientific, im sorry to spoil the genre but someone had to break this news
G-senjou no Maou
Very nice, also best girl!
The ones that aren't pornographic.
I wish I could find something as good as euphoria again. I outgrew anime and those stale clichés don't cut it anymore. Is there another vn that either subvert or go that extra mile to make it something unique?
They can be roughly compared as "romances". Saya no Uta other than the protagonist's relationship with Saya(which is author's pedo side insert) and his illness, has nothing going on. In Fata even though there are some scenes with underage romance in it, the author always keeps it on a certain level. Fata has lots of themes when it comes to love and betrayal, there is some 4th wall breaking and I like the story that while its mostly about suffering and forgiveness, it revolves around the undying love between 2 souls. Not even memeing
her game
Fucking zoomer idiot.
>pedo
go back
Elaborate then my niggers why saya no uta is so god tier. Everyone says here "Saya is good" and never elaborates but only spergs every time someone says Saya no uta=bad. Honestly if you have nothing to say about it, then its literally nostalgiafagging that makes you defend it and you deserve to read hentai shit until your brain rots
Dangerously based.
>it has so many plotholes
name one
Maggot Baits
based
Arguing with retards like you is pointless.
Moronic assfaced clown.
shukishukidaishuki
Haven't read many but I really enjoyed Higurashi.
Currently playing Kara no Shoujo.
Tried but wasn't interesting. It's not about gore, just the story that puts you on your edge without knowing what can happen. Should have said I also played saya no uta and muv luv. Add euphoria and those are basically the only vn I have fond memories off.
>The sensation problem.
The guy was supposed to see Saya(an alien) as a human and normal humans as fleshy blobs and vice versa if saya fucks them up. Now if this fleshy blob is Saya, how the protagonist can feel her as a human? Wouldnt his touch reveal the truth? Its not a scientific issue, this is a plot issue
>The fact that he is an ass to his friends.
Im not quite sure that if this counts completely as a plothole but the protagonist said at the beginning that he is completely aware of his insanity and he chose to live with it and he loved his friends. However he talk so much shit to his female friend that kinda loves him instead of just losing touch and keep his distance completely and ultimately not causing any harm to his friends. I guess this can be attributed to his attitude, but it bugs me how this happened before he completely snaps and accepts his new reality and things could have ended up differently if he just said "we cant be friends anymore"
>Saya's origin.
I know the author just like Lovecraft he tries to keep the horror vague, but the problem is that he makes a half assed effort to explain how Saya came to Earth but its unfinished. I'd rather have the doctor's notes destroyed completely and allow myself to speculate than knowing half shit of saya's origin
>Arguing with retards like you is pointless.
Thanks for proving my point
Dicksmoking homosexual imbecile.
This one's pretty good I don't really play VNs anymore or watch anime, I still read manga though.
Monster, Oyasumi Punpun, 20th Century Boys, Prison School, Blood on the Tracks, Alice in Borderland, Gantz, I Am a Hero, No Longer Human are good if you want something to read.
lol
none of these are plot holes
>meanwhile I see no problem in a magical manor that goes back and forth through time showing memories and cheap gay drama for no reason at all
Where do you morons even come from? Reddit? Retardera?
I'll try but i'm on the same boat except i don't read manga. I basically only watch the anime since it's an abridged version of a manga. But i do it as a no brainer and1-3 at best per year. I read Berseker and Gantz though.
One is magic.
No, that is being a shiteater.
Manga is far superior to anime. The anime that get created are usually shit when you compare the two, it looks like isekai's never going away. There's way more amazing manga and novels that never gets adapted.
And what are these then? They definitely sound like plot that is not well tied together and this shit is like 4-6 hours top read.
Its called afterlife. Everyone is dead there and because they had lived poor lives, they stuck in Limbo. If they were able to affect the world of living as damned souls, yes it would be magical bullshit, but thankfully they dont. Everything "metaphysical" in the world of living has been given a reasonable explanation. For example saint's blood is placebo everyone died at the wine festival because of Morgana's blood disease etc
You Saya no Uta niggas need to stop cooming so much; it has ruined your ability to think
I know but from time to time (aka years) something good appears. If something is genuinely good it overlows even into a shitty anime. For example i discovered Berserk with the old anime and Gantz with the 3D movie. There's Bebop and Gurren Lagan, i like the One Punch one, etc.. There is good anime out there, it just isn't common but i think this applies to every media you swim into.
I love Saya, but I have to agree, a lot of Sayafags really don't know that much about the appeal of the work, and just kinda nostalgic about it, because it was one of the first VNs that became popular in the west.
For me, I think the appeal of Saya is how simple and direct is at creating a short horror scenario, the bond between Saya and MC is believable, so the way MC starts to descend into madness is really well comunicated to the reader, this makes the reader reasonate on a kind of personal level with the story. Another factor is the horror itself, there are some really good scenes and twist when it comes to horror, same with some of the dialogue, it is really effective for creating a dark mood.
And thats the thing about Saya, is great for a short horror scenario, but it doesn't aim to me anything more, what it does it does it really fucking well, but it is not a work that tries to aim high. Some people might like this aspect of it, others not.
In my case I think Saya is great, but there are other better horror VNs out there, still Top 5.
mah nigga
is this poster, DARE I say it, BASED??
>it has so many plotholes
No it doesn't. Saya isn't the best thing ever, it was mostly babby's first vn and Lovecraft inspired story, but it doesn't have any plot holes or inconsistencies.
I read somewhere that the author is a swordsman IRL. Hanachirasu was also a fun read, though not as good as Muramasa
Fate/Stay Night
>i don't read manga
Start. There's so much good shit that will never get adapted, or that got butchered by the anime.
I just started Umineko. It's good but it's taking some time to get to the really good part I think. All the characters feel alive and I like the family setting/concept. I also downloaded Muv-Luv and Cross Channel. Muv-Luv I'm not sure if I should play unlimited or extra, and CC was interesting. For some reason I just don't feel like continuing Muramasa because there's so much infodumps.
The Sagara Family.
Here's a list of good VNs with gameplay, maybe you'll find something for yourself
>Baldr Sky
>Underwater Ray Romano
>Library of Ruina
>Triangle Strategy
>Symphonic Rain
>13 Sentinels
>Zero Escape
>Monster Girl Quest
>Ace Attorney
