what changes are you hoping for?
Cod mw22
For them to give up on CoD.
I just want one last good COD before Onkle Phil fucks it up
Better maps. MW 2019 had some of the worst maps in any CoD.
To add more cheating
huh? I thought they weren't going to release a COD this year?
Optimize the fucking file size. I know they won't but still
A game worth playing.
It's been more than a decade.
Killstreak mayhem returns
None of that scorestreak nonsense.
Recoil
Destruction
Better intégration of vehicles
MW was shit because of everything encouraging camping. All it had going for it was the guns and movement feeling good.
>getting rekt by campers post claymore nerfs
Should have gotten gud and also should have played hard point and domination.
MIIN
NIIN
HAAH
WAAW
i literally just want mw2 with an active playerbase, improved visuals, better anticheat, and better optimization.
ZERO CHANGES because every change will be for the worse. especially if they add cosmetics, i just want a shooter where everyone looks like a fucking marine, is that really so much to ask for???
but that doesnt matter, theyll fuck up everything regardless. theyll fuck up matchmaking by adding skill based matchmaking, theyll fuck up kill streaks, theyll add microtransactions, theyll cut out half the content, etc. they always find a way to fuck it up when the literal blueprints to how to make a successful game are right there
also dont sell the mw2 dlc maps as dlc AGAIN wtf
This. I don't understand how so many people praise it when garbage maps literally ruin the entire MP. First CoD I played since BO1 and ensured I'll never touch the franchise again unless they just remake MW2.
>implying people didnt ignore objective for half the game in order to camp and get white phosphorus
Also being able to kill a camper means nothing when in most matches all but one or two guys on each team actually move. Being the only one trying to touch hardpoint isnt fun and it happened fairly often
>ghost perk should stop working when a player stands still (camping)
>maps need some adjustments to de-incentivise camping, but don't go full retard by using Treyarch's 3-lane shit
>reduce file size, if i'm using an SSD, i don't need to download those massive as fuck patches (which were only that big because of HDDs)
>add more diverse maps, rather than having most of them just in not-Ukraine (Verdansk) or not-Syria/Iraq(Urzikstan), return to the older CoD style of having maps from all across the globe
>allow the completion/purchase of battle-passes that have ended, but remove any CoD points from that BP as to balance it out (fuck FOMO bullshit)
>add subtle character rim-lights to help with visibility (similar to what BF4 did), or reduce the dusty effects from maps
>add more social/party modes along the lines of infected, such as sharpshooter, 1-in-the-chamber, sticks-and-stones etc
That's next year, the buyout release chamges don't go into effect until 2023
Why did they announce the game just like that?
Because Vanguard is not doing as well as Activision would have hoped.
People are speculating that they're going to do an early multiplayer reveal alongside an early alpha/beta to build interest in the game.
Good. Vanguard is an absolute embarrassment and the developers should be ashamed of themselves.
Less w*men and n*ggers
I know they won't but still
Eh, I don't like when they remove the element of surprise.
My prediction? They'll double, then triple down from Vanguard. Fully expecting the reveal trailer to have transgender SAS operators.
The only good maps were remakes of CoD4/MW2 ones, and they weren’t there at launch
That depends on how much do they want EGS money. In the current situation, they could go full Murrica, like in 2011, and nobody would mind it.
Vanguards biggest problem imo is that there’s no factions in MP. In a fucking WW2 game… so both teams have the same operators running around and it’s confusing as fuck.
I don't know, MW2019 wasn't as 'woke' compared to Transguard.
Sure, there was Farah, but even the operators within the multiplayer were pretty grounded compared to CW and Vanguard.
I don't really see Infinity Ward changing much to be honest.
Sledgehammer really had no idea what they were doing with that game do they? Also the fact they let you use 10 slots for gunsmith was kinda retarded, just throws balance out the window.
>10 slots for gunsmith was kinda retarded, just throws balance out the window
Not to mention that it completely ruins the WW2 aesthetic when attachments werent exactly common back then.
Honestly, they should've just cut the brakes and went for a steampunk shooter. Because from the sort of shit I'm seeing from this game, it's what they should have went for.
Haven't actually playing it, nor have I looked at too much, but wasn't one of the rumours before the game was announced that it was some kind of alternate history where the war went on until 1951 or something? (Doesn't excuse the bullshit, it's retarded as fuck).
>Captain Price, you look...different to when we last met
No slide cancelling, penalties to jump shotting ars, dropshot delay
That was a lie. The campaign missions are set during WW2 and the multiplayer and post-launch DLC (lolllll) would've been about hunting moon nazis across the globe
The whole Farah story is mega woke.
You also have the strong black woman general that you see in every game.
Also what made cod games "immersive" is that there was no 3rd person cutscenes.
all the maps for mw19 were free
None or at least less prominent SBMM for casual matchmaking. Lobbies disbanding after every game is awful.
That said, I don't actually expect anything to change on that front. If anything it's probably going to be even more heavy-handed than ever before.
when they remaster black ops 1 exactly how it was just with better graphics ? then ill consider buying you washed up franchise
A not movie-pozzed campaign.
Whoever thought that a COD game needs a walking simulator segments with 5 minutes of exposition dump should be be strapped to a nuclear bomb.
Also, make the spec-ops and survival as a local split-screen modes.
Can the Quake 3 engine handle it?
Holy shit, could you imagine giving activision/blizzard money? In 2022? To play YET ANOTHER remake? You'd have to be suicidal levels of depresses to disrespect yourself as bad as getting whatever the fuck this stupid remake cod game is.
I know it's a slippery slope, but I thought Farah's story was done tastefully.
It wasn't just a strong-woman for the sake of of putting a strong-woman in the game, there was clearly some thought put into her character, since we directly see her backstory of how she became a freedom fighter.
I could believe her character, which is a lot different than some of the other SJW stories in popular-media at the moment.
It's not a remake though, it's a sequel to MW2019, although they're retarded for using the same exact title as 'Modern Warfare 2' (2009), since it easily misleads people like yourself.
Last week I replayed black ops 1 with some ENB (GI raytracing and SSAO) and it was so good
K, whatever, if you're still buying "new" cod games, you are below the lowest common denominator.
Call of Duty is still one of the most popular franchises, easily one of the top selling games for over a decade.
Not to mention, it's likely that future instalments will come to game-pass day one (assuming the acti-blizz deal closes), although this new title probably won't just yet.
So who are the enemy this time? the same old Ruskies?
Cartels in south america.
We returning to favela kino.
I wonder if they'll have enough balls to set the story in Mexico.
lol. the series is so low effort now. BOCW was trash. Vangaurd trash. Disbanding lobbies and sbmm killing the game.
If lobbies are still reset after each match for SBMM, I'm not buying it
the sense of a community is a big deal for me in games and this one changes fucks all that up
Finally have her
I hope they remove the language filter and add whole lobbies again
MW2 was prime because lobbies were acutally fun and not some kind of interactive loading screen
Not having to use battlenet to play.
They'll probably have it set in some fictional country.
lmao if you think they'll remove language filters instead of removing all forms of voice/chat
Whilst it's almost certain that sbmm is not going anywhere (despite the public outcry regarding it, Activisions data shows that people spend more time playing with it), I wonder if there's a way to keep SBMM, but have persistent lobbies as well?
Didn't BO2 have something like that, because I'm pretty sure that had SBMM in some form (a dev confirmed it in a tweet a while back).
disbanding lobbies is only half the battle. the SBMM is too strong in cod games. if you win 2-3 games, your next game is all but guaranteed going to be a loss. the game actively tries to get your W/L to always be 1.0. that way, no one is losing too much but it also means no one is winning too much.
everything about modern cod feels manufactured. you win when they want you to win and you lose when they want you to lose
rumor is TA is being repurposed to make cod zombies only
IW will be the main CoD dev
other studios will support Warzone
CoD is a MS published title now. all MS published titles are on game pass day 1. MWII will be on game pass day 1, just like halo, gears, and forza
It's not owned by Microsoft yet, they're still finalising the deal (has to go through government regulation checks first), so they can't exactly legally do anything yet.
The deal is expected to close around summer 2023. But it's possible that MS might work out some kind of deal that allows them to put MWII on game-pass day one since they have put some third party tiles on game-pass day one in the past.
>The deal is expected to close around summer 2023
No, it isn't. It's expected to close anytime during FY 2023 (July 2022 - June 2023)
you're highly underestimating how much MS is communicating with Activision execs. the deal was confirmed to happen last week. yes, it hasn't closed yet but the activision execs are getting PAID by microsoft. they're not going to want to piss them off so they're going to do whatever they ask. the internal transition process has likely already started.
MWII will be on game pass day 1 because it's what the company who is paying the activision execs wants
why would the top people of activision not do whatever ms wants at this point? they want to stay in great terms with the people who will be giving their yacht fun to them in the near future
