>killer 7 >monster hunter world >DMC HD >Dead rising 1 >rogue legacy 2 what to buy?
Chase Ross
IT'S A NEW LAP RECORD!!!
Isaac Parker
Buy or pirate blaster master zero 123 guys it’s fun
Jackson Wood
can a man have a redpill on the atelier games? Also can I get nu JRPG recommendations?
Hudson King
Wait on Rogue Legacy 2. I'd say wait on Monster Hunter but player population may die out by the time it goes lower. I don't care about Dead Rising. Killer7... do it.
Owen Cox
I can bouch for killer7 and DMC
Jacob Walker
>Spend weeks waiting for Golden Week to come to buy Sega games on sale >Golden Week arrives >Sega games are not on sale This has genuinely ruined my day It was literally the only I was looking forward for this week
is the port for DMC good? also does 3 have style switching mod? why wait on rogue legacy 2? and what's happening to Monster hunter?
William Lee
Are Way of the Samurai 3 and 4 good?
Evan Cruz
I finished my backlog, AMA
Henry Barnes
>Nioh, dynasty warriors, atelier, blue reflection on sale all time low >Ace combat, Tales of, Scarlet nexus >DMC, dead rising, monster hunter But sure, your week is ruined because SEGA didn't put a few games on sale.
Someone please explain this franchise and give recs, I heard some have a time limit? I like that mechanic. I played Killer7 in my ps2 and got my ass kicked, I feel like with a mouse it's going to be laughably easy.
Monster hunter rise is getting an expansion soon and the player base might hop over to that one instead. DMC port works, but there's some details in graphics lost when it was ported from PS2 to PC, there is a style switching mod you'll need to install
Tyler Jackson
I dont know why they'd bother to make a golden week sales page and then not discount at all. I think they are just taking longer than usual for some reason
Nolan Turner
This "sale" is shit.
James Rogers
Is Fatal Frame worth the price or should I wait for a bigger discount? I'm not on a rush
Liam Parker
>years old game >50% off what do they meem by this?
Elijah Jackson
Based fellow ARS$ chad It's just a game about cute girls doing cute things while fighting shit that is complimented by a very autistic crafting system in the form of alchemy, there's a few entries with a timer limit and some other shit, it's not super easy but if you craft like an autist you can break the game easily.
Easton Wilson
Other than Nioh and DMC, what game is on sale that I can put shitloads of time that has great combat and action? It can have RPG elements but I just want a damn good action game with depth to get into bros.
It's not a bad game but it's the weakest Fatal Frame imo
Connor Long
>wait for a bigger discount You'd have to wait an entire life time for that. KT's games rarely ever get a noticeable bigger discounts unless said game bombed hard.
Bentley Garcia
If you enjoy time constraints, sure. 4 is more wacky while 3 tries to serve a more serious story. It still has some silly in it. You have a set number of days before the story is over, depending on how you spend and what happens during these days, you get an ending. It's made to be replayed.
Dominic Williams
Why?
Thomas Butler
It's okay to hate videogames, just don't blame it on the sale
ive never played a musou game, are any of the koei tecmo sales particularly good deals to start with?
Nolan Lee
DW8
Jaxson Gomez
This sale isn't really that good in comparison to other sales, but at least I found some neat stuff Any thoughts? I already have first Disgaea in my library though I still haven't played it yet Was gonna get Danganronpa Ultra Despair Girls, but realized the Phoenix Wright Trilogy have better value since it's practically 3 whole games Also I never played a Suda51 game before, so I'm not sure what to expect
Emulate Dynasty Warriors 5 People told me 7 was better than 8 and I bought it and it's massively inferior to a PS2 game from 20 years ago
Lincoln Bell
How is Roguebook? Anyone try it out yet?
Connor Morgan
Musou games are really fun but don't give developers/publishers any money.
Austin Richardson
DW7 and Spirit of Sanada for the story, DW8 and SW5 for the gameplay.
Only in the story department, general consensus is that 8 blows 7 out of the water the gameplay and contents department.
Christopher Perez
>I'm not sure what to expect weird shit
Colton Lee
Atelier games are broken into trilogies each with very differing mechanics that often divide the fanbase. The games are about being a cute girl and doing alchemy and stuff, you dont save the world or anything, its not a grand adventure, more like a SOL.
For example the very first Atelier game is just about figuring out how to feed yourself after your master disappears and the game ends after a series of alchemy exams that make you a licensed alchemist.
I'd defiintely recommend the first game just cause its a great entry point and its pretty short
Dylan Bailey
This is how you can tell 2022 will be a terrible year for sales.
John Cook
> square enix golden week sale on Japanese eshop including DQ11 > nothing for American eshop
Camden Jones
alternatively you can start on Ryze cause thats the trilogy that went full coomer and its the latest one so its more modernized
Kayden Moore
>Tales of Berseria 8 dollars is this worth playing on my steam deck? I've played every Tales game up to like Graces/Vesperia whichever is the latest but I didnt really like Arise all that much, felt too weird.
Sebastian Morris
>indie game more than a year old >25% off why is this allowed?
Adam Kelly
>why wait on rogue legacy 2? It just got officially released. The sales for it will get better if you're patient.
Samuel Lewis
>Persona 5 strikers is 60 dollars during a golden week sale but why
Brayden Wright
Friendly reminder: avoid Nioh 2 if you: - Are a Soulsborne / Sekiro / Elden Ring fan - Hate Diablo loot and games designed around Diablo loot - Hate games that reuse their own content - Played Nioh 1 and hated it
None of the SEGA games are discounted for some reason.
Oliver Howard
>worth playing on my steam deck It's not worth playing at all
John Kelly
Friendly reminder to kill yourself
Caleb Scott
>30+ dollars
Nope!
Parker Morris
If you're getting Phoenix Wright, switch out for Phoenix Wright + Japanese Wright. That way you get 5 games and some extra cases for $38. >Disgaea 2 Switch out for Disgaea 2 on its own. You can get artbooks for free via the artbook collections on Archive. >Phantom Brave Everyone in the game are cunts. >Killer7 Do it. You'll get mindfucking weird shit, but do it. >DMC1-3 Either get Bayonetta or this. Since Bayonetta isn't on sale, get this.
Dominic Fisher
When choosing a Disgaea all you need to know is the later games have more mechanics and layers than the earlier ones. Except for 6, which kind of goes backwards and becomes an idle game. They're all fun and feel similar but it might be difficult to play 1 after 5 since there are mechanics in 5 that aren't in 1. It would probably be good to get an idea if you like the series first. 2 has a demo on Steam, and the others have demos on console. They're basically strategy RPGs that expect you to break the game with the systems provided. You're either killing enemies in one hit or you're figuring out a cheese strategy to kill your enemies that can kill you in one hit.
Killer7 is great, would recommend You don't need to have played other Suda stuff, I'd really only touched half of The Silver Case which bored me to tears and I still loved it
I have like 7$ what do I get? Re7 and mgsv are cheap on key sites
Dylan Bell
I haven't played any jrpgs in a fucking minute and I want something comfy. Been looking at these.
Atelier Ryza Dragon Quest XI S Tales of Arise
Also not a jrpg but Fatal Frame Project Zero I haven't played any of them since 2 came out forever ago.
Chase Perez
Persona 4 Golden
Isaiah King
If you're interested in DQXI download the demo. It's 6-10 hours long and you can carry your save into the full game.
Xavier Nelson
Is Atelier Sophie 2 a good intro to the series?
Joshua Sanders
Ryza is the definition of comfy
Henry Howard
Finally got around to buying Sekiro now that it's on sale.
Dylan Gonzalez
Luckly for me Sonic was never good
Lincoln Cruz
Played it on Vita forever ago and not big on persona since I played SMT first it always felt like SMT light.
Might just do that hopefully the demo runs on steam deck also.
I've been wanting to pick it up since I loved the older atelier games but I really struggled with what I played of Sophie it wasn't great.
Alexander Martinez
Nioh 2 probably won't have a good sale for a while since its a relatively newer game, so this will probably be the best you will have for a while. However Nioh 1 has a 75% discount if you are a poorfag and is still pretty good.
Dylan Gonzalez
>They're basically strategy RPGs that expect you to break the game with the systems provided. You're either killing enemies in one hit or you're figuring out a cheese strategy to kill your enemies that can kill you in one hit. Sounds like fun then since I enjoy character building in pathfinder
Wyatt Evans
Not him but I emulate. I know that PC Disgaea is missing some content that can be easily patched back in thanks to modder bros. At least this is true of Disgaea 2. Assuming I can emulate PSP Disgaea 1+2 with no issue, should I get 4 and 5 individually ($32) or should I go whole hog anyway with the bundle ($35)?
Jack Russell
Ryza might still be fine to try then because its different from Sophie although in general I did more the Arland trilogy more than the later ones
Leo Flores
Is Atelier Ryza a decent, maybe even good game (like Mary Skelter) or plain dogshit (like Neptunia)?
Oliver Fisher
like the Arland trilogy more*. People dislike the time limit but I like time limits because the game can base events around it so it feels like alive
Lincoln Brooks
>If you're getting Phoenix Wright, switch out for Phoenix Wright + Japanese Wright. That way you get 5 games and some extra cases for $38. Can't, I'm already spending overbudget, so I think I will buy it next time when it goes below $20 on sale >Switch out for Disgaea 2 on its own. You can get artbooks for free via the artbook collections on Archive. I mean only half dollar difference, so it's not that big of a deal >Either get Bayonetta or this. Doesn't Bayonetta on PC is missing some exclusive content that's present on Wii U and Switch?
Jonathan White
I really wish the older trilogies went on a steeper sale after all this time. I'd love to pick up the Arland trilogy again on pc but goddamn I'm not paying 60 bucks on sale for them.
continue with Sophie first cause if you go backwards you'll have to learn new/old alchemy systems
Jackson Jenkins
>a trillion sales going on >Elden Ring is still the top seller even after having been out for two months and not on sale God damn.
Carson Kelly
>hear ace attorney is fun detective game >have to steal evidence >Witnesses constantly commit perjury and just get to retestify >Not actually possible to work out motive and how until game decides to give you the extra information
Obra dinn remains the best detective game, does anything even come close?
Jonathan Baker
I probably shouldnt get arise but I also want to get it. Help
Is Nakara fun? The gameplay looks really fun but all of the reviews say that the pvp is ruined because of chinese hackers. Is it true?
Camden Reed
try the demo
Evan Walker
it was pretty enjoyable when I played it early on. There was some latency issues and I didn't see any hackers but they might have come later after I stopped
Aaron Wilson
Nobody lied to you. Emphasis on the word fun. If you haven't noticed AA doesn't take itself seriously.
Noah Cruz
If you've got ps4/ps5 you can pick it up for like 5 bucks on ebay. Wait a while it will definitely go lower on pc though. Its worth 30 bucks at this point however its really fleshed out and fixed a lot of issues also the pc version had way less issues to begin with.
