Lifelong melee fan here. I think this game is finally dying. Old heads are all over the hill. New school are all weirdos or have zero charisma (ibdw, kodorin, llod, basically everyone). Pretty much everything is figured out and pros are just scraping now for minimally new things. Mango is done.
Anyway after genesis and pound I think we are entering another quiet stage. Pick one character and play the FUCK out of them and learn basic combos and especially learn what your character can get out of grabs.
While you can learn multiple characters, if you're really trying to git gud then you should stick with one character until you get pretty gud at them

I can't play this shit anymore. I used to match with people near me on anther's ladder and win about 50%. Now every person I match with is a damn super nerd with perfect lightning fast movement and I can't compete unless i'm jacked up on adderall and nicotine. I swear half the people I play are top 100 players just smurfing. God damn it.
