Seriously how the fuck is this legal...

Seriously how the fuck is this legal? If the PS5 or Xbox could play Switch games Nintendo would genuinely send assassins.

You will never be a woman decktranny

It's not legal.
Emulation in itself isn't illegal. Emulating copyrighted works though? Nope.

>this is OP

Attached: 1651099440190m.jpg (1024x768, 52.93K)

Because emulation is legal. Now I expect he dumped his own console keys and cart to play that game. Right?

Attached: Kirby demands food.gif (320x240, 590.22K)

So Nintendo is going to sue the fuck out of Valve right?

Nice pasta. Doesn't change the fact that emulation is legal in every way if the emulator doesn't reuse copyright protected code by Nintendo.

Why would they sue a PC manufacturer, Nintendo goes after ROM sites all the time.

>you can emulate Nintedo games on Windows/Mac/Linux...

WHY ISN'T NINTENDO SUING MICROSOFT, MAC AND THE AUTIST THAT MADE LINUX???

the emulator is legal because it's not being sold
the deck isn't any different from desktop pc, it can't runt console games natively it's the emulator that runs the games

Why does OP spam this image everyday?

So the emulator is illegal, but using it to play copyrighted games is illegal.

Yeah no shit. Guns are legal but then using that gun to kill someone is illegal. This is fucking illegal.

>hahaha I pay $400 to steal Nintendo games LOOOOOK AT MEEEEEEEEEE

>15fps

Are you going to keep posting these butthurt threads until the next NPD data Snoytranny? Because if so, I wouldn't hold your breath, we all know the PS5 is going to suffer yet another HUMILIATING 3rd place finish.

using an emulator is legal because why the fuck wouldn't it
you can slap your purchased discs into a disc reader on your pc and play your own games perfectly legal because why the fuck not
the illegality comes with downloading games because obvious reasons

That's definitely 40-60, pretty good considering how young the deck is. SMT5 might actually be playable at a stable framerate now.

The emulator is legal and playing copyrighted games is also legal so long as the original copy you dumped from is destroyed. I suppose nobody is that autistic, but legally that means they need to prove wrongdoing and go after users/uploaders. There's nothing they can do against the emulator itself.

Remeber when retards on Yea Forums though this thing was gonna kill Nintendo. Fun times

probably nintendog worker
instead of spamming this shit they should make games. they didnt make anything worth playing since xb2

I love how much the switch has shattered Yea Forums's anus. There's at least 5 autistic manchildren shitposting around the clock just because a toy exists

Meanwhile I dock my Switch to a capture card and play it in the preview windows of OBS when I want to play it while on the PC, and can take it out anytime to continue in handheld mode or move to another dock. Don't have to worry about syncing cloud saves or anything like you would moving from an emulator on PC to a Steam deck and back. Checkmate, atheists

>PS5 mentioned out of nowhere
Actual schizophrenia. Take your meds.

You're an idiot. Pirating games is illegal, emulating your own dumps is not.

>Those disgusting Amerimutt hands

snoy

That's at least 270 lb hands. Easily over 300 lbs of she's taller than 6 feet

schizo

i wish it would

>so long as the original copy you dumped from is destroyed
No. Dumping ROMs is technically a grey area, but there are no laws outright saying that you cannot play a dumped ROM. What's definitively illegal is distribution. If you dump a ROM, you cannot distribute it, ever. It's very difficult to go after someone for merely dumping a ROM, but distribution is exceptionally easy to press charges on.

If you play a ROM that you've dumped yourself, it is practically impossible for Nintendo to even find out you did it, much less verify you did it and attempt to press charges. Not to mention it wouldn't be worth the effort anyway. This is why there has never been a court case concerning the dumping of ROMs. Every trial has been about emulation (which Sony lost) and distribution (which is easy for most owners of the original IPs to win).

You do not need to destroy anything, you have a legal right to make back ups.

The only thing illegal is distributing things that are copyrighted. Meaning rom sites.

Nah. Nintendo is shit now because of their undisputed success. They're comfortable and they know they can get away with charging monthly for shitty roms and having terrible online service. It doesn't really matter to me though because I'll just use the Deck to pirate all their games, the only semi-decent part left of Nintendo.

Just got my deck, where do i get switch roms

What are you talking about? The Nintendo Golden Age was back when they were dominating the market. For the N64 they only made like half a dozen good games for the thing.

>a Yea Forums user after explaining to the eight-year-old child they found playing Pokemon Sword that they are actually a onions consoomer cuckold

that's what the switch usually gets so it's ok

ziperto

They realized they don't have to keep making OOT caliber games and they don't have to actually have soulful system menus and features like the Wii-U. The more time passes the more they know they can relax as the masses buy their switch to play Pokemon.

>charging $4 a month to play a back catalog of games not available anymore
Yeah you could have gone with having to pay for online but you went with the dumbest shit. Gamepass and Sony both do it.

One day you won't be able to get any ROMs or iso files online. Soon the only way to get these files will be from the dark web.

Who cares about "soulful system menus" and "features"? I want to play video games not dick around with system settings or show off worthless Miis to a bunch of assholes I've never met. The 7th console generation introduced a bunch of worthless shit to consoles and we're better off without all that noise. Fuck Sony for trying to add a bunch of dumbass shit I never want to use, fuck Microsoft for doing the same and fuck Nintendo for riding that bandwagon. The point of a game console is for playing games and that should be all they're for.

Cool, I already use the tor anyways.

It's just a computer. Nintendo has no control over what you do with your computer.

i own switch and deck.
i play on both :)

>being so pathetic you pirate bing bing wahoo
Your even worse then the retards who pay for it lol

lmao, keep seething

Am I supposed to care about legality concerning copyright? What kind of bootlicker logic can you pull out to shame me for not caring about (((intellectual property))) laws?

>wtf why did you dump a rom from your legally purchased game?! You're not the license holder, you don't have that right
>hey wtf you can't play the rom! it's only for archive purposes until the original no longer works
>WTF STOP ROMHACKING IT!
>AIEEEE CORPORATION-SAMA SAVE ME!

If you wanna go after people who pirate modern games or put up rom sites with ads everywhere, you go right ahead. I understand you not wanting others to profit off of your work. But I give you damn companies enough money, I'm not gonna sit here and feel ashamed of my 50+ romhacks, including 5 different randomizers, just because Nintendo or snoy wants to resell them back to me at a premium. Also, I will refuse to abide by DRM, because when I pay for a product I do not want it being treated like a service. So you can shove your rental services up your butt.

Whatever dude. The Wii-U felt like an actual console. Miiverse was genuinely neat. The eShop playing music was cute. The UI design was also just good, and genuinely fit playful Nintendo aesthetic.

Switch feels like a locked down android phone with no soul. Don't even get me fucking started on how much the 3DS mogs the switch. Why would I buy a switch when I can just emulate the games? All the switch does is play games.

You are permitted to make a copy only for archival purposes.
Playing and using said copy normally is not "archival" purposes.

The emulator is NOT illegal. Get this through your fucking thick head.

I must say user, I've never heard anyone anyone call it the tor.

I await your post 5 years from now about how the switch menu was soul and how whatever new nintendo thing is shit

>Load games into an R4 back in 2008/2009
>No problems
>Load games into any emulator
>"how the fuck is this legal?"
How the fuck did this even happen?

Attached: 1643878200994.png (609x477, 405.29K)

>All the switch does is play games.
???? Yeah

Attached: 1648456206688.png (1000x871, 407.9K)

No. Again, there are NO LAWS that actually prohibit the dumping and playing of ROMs that you've dumped yourself. There's no precedent so it's literally never come up in the court of law.

>vvvvvVVVVWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
decent 3d print though

Corporate cocksuckers came into existence. Somehow.

I'm not seething, I'm just pointing out tends and and extrapolating future outcomes

You are 100% legally entitled to play whatever ROMs you've made, from games that you own. You will notice that no one has ever been sued or prosecuted for playing emulated games which they own a legal copy of.

That's because PC is a platform dominated by men and the Steam deck is a PC. Have fun playing videogames on your TV console child

If emulating games on the steam deck makes Nintendo fanboys and Nintendo themselves angry
then i'll be sure to emulate all their games i can

Ah yes the soulful switch menus of black and white, straight lines, and generic sound effects.

Yeah so why would I buy one when you can easily emulate all the games? At least the Wii-U had miiverse which you couldn't emulate. At least 3DS had things like sreetpass which couldn't be emulated.

Do you know for how long I've hearing these predictions? 20 yrs now. And it's still piss easy to find ROM compilations for whoever has a modicum of experience with torrenting files.

All talk
No walk

FBI
POTUS
FUCKING DO SOMETHING

whats the problem?
you can install yuzu or any other nintedo emulator easily on the deck because of discover
you can literally install any nintendo emulator with a single click and then install some roms and get playing

Maybe you're right. I've just seen tones of articles of Rom sharing sites being taken down and sued. I just think one day you're going to need to use an onion address to get games. I might be wrong in my predictions.

Good luck suing someone for making a portable pc retard

Got mindbroken by PS5 coming last two months in a row. He made threads about Kirby too

So emulation is legal, but downloading and playing ROMs is illegal. So what the fuck are you supposed to do with an emulator legally?
