I think he's a better fight especially in second phase if you don't count the wow factor Malenia has. Malenia staggers too easily that it almost felt like bullying human bosses with fists/tonfas in Nioh.

Can someone explain why From Software gets such a pass for having framerate caps, and then not even being able to optimize the game to run at that cap without drops during boss fights? Even Bethesda recently figured out how to make their engine support >60fps and here we are in 2022 and FS can't even make Elden Ring run at 60fps even with a $5,000 computer. Is it just because Fromdrones are the biggest shit eaters or what?

Phase 1 is just Nameless King delays, which this game already did with Margit / Morgott. Phase 2 is just phase 1 with a really easily batrsble and punishable fly dash, and blood trails on his other moves

He's actually quite a fair fight and a decent challenge even though his first phase is rather easy.

My only issue with Morgott was that fighting him with a short-range weapon was a pain in the ass because he kept slowly walking away from you whenever you had an opening to attack. The floor hazards also shouldn't last as long as they do, but that wasn't as big of an issue for me as it could have been.

He would be fair if he didn't have that one aerial attack with a completely made-up hitbox. The amount of times he's stabbed the air above me and gotten a hit for no reason is insane. I have about 20 clips that I've analyzed frame by frame to see if he actually touches my body with his trident and he never does. He misses above me by about a foot while I'm rolling and the game instantly ends my roll animation and moves my character to his trident. It's consistently one of the worst hitboxes in the entire game.

Out of every enemy in the game he is by far the worst. I can't imagine anything else being anywhere near as bad.

Here's a comparison between Mohg and Radagon:

Mohg

Radagon/Elden Beast
>annoying cutscene that has to be skipped before every fight
>two health bars
>extremely annoying first phase with an entire health bar, aoe attacks and teleports out the ass that will take you a while to get past
>even more annoying second phase (another health bar) where 90% of the fight is just trying to chase Elden Beast around

At least with Mohg's second phase if you die you're right back in the second phase 45 seconds later. With Elden Beast if you get to the very end and die you have to spend five minutes just to get back. Also neither Radagon or Elden Beast have any weaknesses or status effects you can proc. have fun.
