The gimmick is shooting German soldiers in the balls, through the eye, etc. Changing the location and making those x-ray shots prettier is apparently enough.

Wow. I mean, I enjoy the series and have played them all...but another ww2? fuck off. A modern one would have been the better choice. I'd have even taken a vietnam one.

The funny thing is that the 1st game ends with a WW2 being concluded and the main character talking about how he'll be in a different conflict soon. I think he was alluding to something with the soviets.
