If you choose anything but Dreamcast you're a mega faggot

I'm satisfied with my Vita, I'd rather save SEGA.

I'd invest a billion dollars trying to make the Saturn the anime weeb 2D console in the West, which Sega refused to do because they thought the West would never be interested in 2D games. I'd make Sakura Wars, Tokimeki Memorial, Devil Summoner, Soul Hackers and Sailor Moon games the flagship titles of the Saturn and see if it could actually stick with enough marketing even in the West. I'm just curious about that.

None of these.
I would save the Jaguar because it was a horrid piece of shit and I want to ruin the video games industry.

it would just fail again. you know what REALLY needs a second chance? a new xperia play. literally free money. GET ON IT SNOY YOU FAT FUCKS

Vita. Micro SD + more snoygames and thus keeping Studio Liverpool and Japan Studio alive.

no games

Vita sucked though.

except for those 200+ games installed on my hacked vita

because you didn't save it

My Vita from 2014 still works, and the battery isnt even that weak

>stupid underpowered when compared to the weakest of it's competitors

user, even if sega had fuck you money to prop it up, they would still let it die and pump money into a new system, just like they did with the Saturn

Lmao who would even pick Lynx

Sony phones are now stupid over priced one case use only devices now
either you are in the stupid fringe minority that actually needs a 5g enabled phone with an HDMI input to stream footage live on the go and buys their phones or you are normal person and just buy a resonably priced phone that makes more sense

the vita was fucking perfect, the problem was sony being a bunch of greedy, short sighted retards

i fucking hate sony and wish them death for the neglect of the vita; it's fucking funny how the industry went into everything the vita was just a few years later once they "officially" gave up on it

>Dreamcast
Could be Saved, but it would be a massive uphill battle, better to cut losses and make a new system
>Vita
Could be saved, but it would be a perpetual number 2, even if the AAA type games kept coming to it
>Saturn
See dreamcast
>WiiU
The switch is a WiiU2 and pretty much saved all the games the wiiu had already
>Atary Lynx
LOL, LMAO
>Game Gear
See Vita

yeah, this time with actual games please

>powerful for its time
>Easy to develop to
>amazing battery life and sleep mode (can retain a game in ram in sleep mode for weeks and still have over 50% of battery)
>Best PS Dpad ever (all buttons sans the triggers are microswitches)
>Amazing OLED screen

but then sony don goof
>not Video Out (even though gen1 vitas have a port that looks like it was supposed to be video)
>proprietary USB cable
>Proprietary Memory cards that cost a fuckton more than SDs
>Proprietary memory cards are VITA EXCLUSIVE, meaning you can't even get a lage MSDuo card for cheap like you could with your PSP
>Save files are tied to the game installation and are encrypted with it
>Proprietary file-sharing software needed to sync/backup files with a PC
>soldered battery

based

it just goes to show how incompetent sony are, and how you can't trust them at all to not try something that fucks you over, even when they're on the brink of mastering something

If they decided to make a Vita 2.0 and fix at least half the negatives while keeping the positives it'd immediately blow out any current gen handheld

>it'd blow out any current gen handheld
Why are snoys like this?

Dreamcast is tempting, but I'm gonna pick Vita too. I would have been happy if Sony just kept releasing ps2 ports on it. Having a portable ps2 was always a dream of mine, and the vita already has some heavy hitters like MGS, Sly, and Ratchet.

>If they decided to make a Vita 2.0
they will double down on the bullshit by making all the games in it download only with a proprietary SSD that can't fit more than 3 games and a battery life of 2 hours

>snoys
Why are goys like this?

what even is the overall best handheld currently? steam deck? lol

Nice preemptive reply. Still picking the Dreamcast just like last time this thread was made a day or two ago. Second would be the Saturn.

FUCK no, Vita is perfect as it is
if it wouldn't have failed so hard the hacking scene wouldn't have been as good as it is now
really love it for PS1 and NES/SNES + GBC/A emulation

just got it and it's amazing

Steam Deck is GOAT since it's PC games and emulation up and with PS3.

Steam Deck cannot emulate PSVita games though

>if it wouldn't have failed so hard the hacking scene wouldn't have been as good as it is now
what's your logic

>PC can emulate PS Vita
>SteamDeck is a PC
Sure. SteamDeck can't emulate Vita games. Whatever helps your mentality, I guess

I pick the wiiu just because the gamepad had so much potential and they basically did nothing with it.

Careful user. Remember, real gamers know that the Wii U and the controller is too gimmicky not to be repulsed by. You want to be a real gamer when you grow up, right?

No. The fact that it doesn't even have functioning emulation after all these years should be proof enough that nobody gives a shit about it. The Vita died for a reason. Let that mistake be forgotten.

Vita and a hacked one so you can play all of those

user, the PSP was hacked almost day one and it had a massive homebrew comunity

that Sony would actually give a shit about piracy, be more aggressive about stuff like SD2Vita and patch it out, no online play and wouldn't have sold the Vita for like 100 bucks new everywhere to get rid of stock

Saturn has the best library of all of these and it's a shame it lost to the no fucking games machine known as the N64. Japs were based in 5th gen since it actually outsold the N64 in that region as it should have worldwide. If the Saturn did well in the West it would have had a snowball effect causing the Dreamcast to perform better as well. So for me, it's the Saturn but Vita is a close second.
I wanted to say Wii U since I enjoyed how different that console was at the time but the Wii U to Switch transition was the first time in my life where I got genuinely pissed with how a console was handled and made me stop supporting Nintendo altogether.

3 of these are Sega? Damn they suck.

Dreamcast obviously, then Vita.

Aren't they working on a PS Vita to Android emulator? Steam Deck can run Android in a VM so, technically it's possible. There's just no decent PS Vita emulator as far as I'm aware.

Ports of indies, psp or psx games don't count
which is sad because the most fun I had with mine was playing risk of rain on it

what a dogshit library

The Vita, I still use mine and it's fantastic.

they all failed for a reason but I guess the least shitty would be the vita and dreamcast

FUCK THE VITA. I would go back in time a put a second stick on the psp. Also I would pick the dream cast.

>I would go back in time a put a second stick on the psp
Or you can just play PSP games on a Vita right now, the fuck.

That doesn't retroactively patch dual analog controls into PSP games.

Haven't run into a PSP game where I couldn't remap the controls to the right stick to get a proper dual analog feel, do you have any examples?

no but we need a portable dreamcast

GTA would be an example, but those games have unofficial plugins that add dual analog support.

>GTA would be an example,
What about the "Grand Theft Auto PS Vita Collection" bundle, is there any control differences between them and the PSP versions on the store?

Those are just the PSP versions running under backward compatibility.

>immediately blow out any current gen handheld
They'd have to rebuild goodwill with consumers. The normies tha bought the Vita in order to play AAA games on the go aren't going to trust sony that easily.

We just need a new real handheld from Sony. Of a similar size as the Vita except this time uses micro SD cards for storage.

Right now there are no current gen handhelds which is sad.

The Switch and Steam Deck do exist, but I get what you mean.

Reminder you can emulate/run all of these on Steam Deck except Vita so Vita is the best answer
Captcha: JPNYV

Besides being way too big nobody makes handheld-tier games. They make full scale 3D games and then gimp the graphics so they run on the Switch.

The deck is just a giant behemoth desktop. I don't want such an overpowered computer that needs high speed fans to cool to play simple games.

>nobody makes handheld-tier games
Hit the nail on the head for why the Vita failed.
Sony wanted to push console experiences on the go and everyone basically said "I already played Uncharted/Killzone/Resistance on PS3 though."
They should've seen the success of P4G and scrambled to do games of similar tier, or at the very least thrown Atlus a ton of money and demanded they make Persona 3 Portable FES and a Persona 5 port.
