Correct.

God damn, does the remaster really look that bad?

I liked that cunt Shaun

Shaun has good taste in women, seeing as he's always hitting on the big titty tomboy.

I like Jacob a lot. Most people hate Syndicate for whatever reason and if they did play it they liked the sister more.

I never played Syndicate because I heard how woke it was, including Jacob apparently having a character arc of 'discovering his bisexuality' according to the devs.

I don't know why people always picks the female protagonists though. Kassandra sucked and female Eivor has the charisma of a cane toad.

Ubisoft always puts shit like that into all their games. I forgot what Ezio game it was but they even made Leonardo Da Vinci a bit gay. I liked the setting of Syndicate a lot.

I've always liked victorian london so I may check it out. I just find shit like half of the gangsters being female a bit jarring. Only got worse as the series went on.

Jacob kills him.

His dad was better.

My favorite part was Shaun destroying his stomach with English beer, mocking commies, looking himself in the bathroom to cry after being reminded of an old friend.

Nah. Edward was a fuck up. A likable fuck up, but a fuck up none the less.

Should have listened to Hornigold.

yes THAT bad.
they just updated the technology without making the art style more consistent.

Leo made one off comment about it leaving Ezio clueless and that was it and it is a huge historcal trope 'was DaVinici GAY'??! Thats it

They've yet to make a good game too

I enjoy them. The older ones moreso than the newer. Can't stand the historical revisionism.

Half the fun of the game is being able to explore these time periods and places as a player character at ground level.

>a bit gay
Somebody didn't play brotherhood. There's an entire mission where you have to escort his foppish gay lover around town.

God I miss asscreed.

They say they want to return to form, or so I heard. It'd be nice to get an old fashioned ass creed.

Desmond's son is old enough now. Maybe it's his time.

Well, that WAS Leonardo Da Vinci. Dude fucked girls, little boys, men... Guy was an absolute total creep. Factor in the Italian gene and you get a total degenerate for his time. At least it's consistent

Shame that they wasted Victorian London on a poor story.

The ezio saga actually did something to make you be in awe form art and music and immersive gameplay challenges.

Then 3 came and made everyone sad and bored with the worst mc ever.

They ruined it by making Elijah‘s story exclusive to the comics, and having him kill Juno.

Believe me when I say that Connor is far from the worst.

>They say they want to return to form
Knowing Ubisoft, it's going to be full of grinding and have a shitty gravity/parkour mechanic. Betting on there not being proper hidden blade assassinations would be free space on a bingo card.

I like the Ezio saga but it's a very black and white story. Ezio and the assassins are unambiguously good and heroic and the templars are cartoonishly evil.

AC 1 and especially AC3 go out of their way to show the assassins vs templars war with more shades of grey. You can actually tell what the templars are fighting for, what they want to achieve, and how maybe that's not so bad.

Connor is kinda bleh if you only play story stuff. I did all the Homestead stuff and found him pretty likable and nuanced, though they have some retarded revisionist shit with Connor going "muh slavery" despite being from an indian clan that owned slaves up to and after the civil war.

If you want the worst it's gotta be Layla.

To me he's the archetypical example of western devs take on minorities.
He's boring, not humorous, doesnt spend much time with his family, doesn't fascinate or cause intrigue. His edges have been smoothed out to not offend anyone.

>Desmond's son is old enough now. Maybe it's his time.
If Ubisoft wasn't filled with fucking retards, they would have used him to take on the fight against Juno in Desmond's place after his death, but of course they finished that whole plotline that was being built since the Ezio Saga in THE FUCKING COMICS and now have to bring out other Isu people to take her place as the antagonist god I fucking hate Ubisoft.

>make Jack on par with the best of assassins when it comes to combat and stealth but with the flare of the assassins switched out with efficient brutality
>beats Jacob in combat
>feels great to play him
>final boss it switches you to play as the boring evie and he turns into a lumbering brute retard who doesnt understand how shadows work
I'll never forgive them for this

I'm not gonna play as bisexual faggot no matter how "good" syndicate is

Bros is it worth playing AC3 to learn more American/French history or is it bad?

They’re too stupid to make an actually fun and interesting boss fight. Please understand.

>Isu
I fucking hate that name. Sounds like what you name a pet disc.
What was wrong with First Civ? It sounds cool, explains what the fuck they were, keeps them mysterious and interesting.

While it was a dumb move it was also partially understandable. Not relegating Elijah to comics, that is, but not having him be playable. They made Desmond too young so the earliest they could have Elijah born was 2005. Meaning he was all of 7 when AC 3 ended.

They couldn't have a kid take over as the PC, especially in such a violent series. They would have gotten in so much shit. But Elijah is 18 now so maybe they can fix that fuck up.

2022. People actually, unironically discuss "characters" in Assassin's Creed.

I actually liked Jacob more than his sister, shame that the game didn't come with the DLC when it was given away for free, Jack The Ripper DLC feels like it's good a pretty decent atmosphere, and I just in general like the Victorian London setting, even if the game is subpar in story, and nothing particularly exciting in combat (at least you can insta assassinate people!)

Time for you to go back.

discuss these feet then fag

Yeah, the name sucks.

If you want a snapshot of the time period I'd say go for it. Ubisoft put a lot of love into crafting recreating the setting. If you enjoy Townsends you'll enjoy AC3.

I pirated syndicate and it was fine, then the game swapped to the sister and I didnt know anything about her or care about her and wanted to play as the character I had been playing.
I never really understood this multiple protagonist meme unless its witcher 3 and you got 2 important characters and you spend some time exploring the past of non-mc character.

>pirated
Publishers often refer to copying they don't approve of as “piracy.” In this way, they imply that it is ethically equivalent to attacking ships on the high seas, kidnapping and murdering the people on them. Based on such propaganda, they have procured laws in most of the world to forbid copying in most (or sometimes all) circumstances. (They are still pressuring to make these prohibitions more complete.)

If you don't believe that copying not approved by the publisher is just like kidnapping and murder, you might prefer not to use the word “piracy” to describe it. Neutral terms such as “unauthorized copying” (or “prohibited copying” for the situation where it is illegal) are available for use instead. Some of us might even prefer to use a positive term such as “sharing information with your neighbor.”

A US judge, presiding over a trial for copyright infringement, recognized that “piracy” and “theft” are smear words.

gnu.org/philosophy/words-to-avoid.en.html#Piracy

Not him but I use pirating because it makes me feel like a cool pirate.

>English
Haytham is an Arabic name

off-topic, nobody asked

That's retarded.

Attached: 1649370938227.jpg (889x560, 59.91K)

And he was born in London.

Ezio is cool but 2 is kinda shit in regard to story. 3 was also gay and I have no idea what anything past that is like but it looks shit. Black Flag looks good but I hate the ocean and especially collectathoning in an ocean with a million islands.
AC 1 is still my favorite because there is real dialogue and it's written by knowledgeable people. The atmosphere is just totally different than any of their other games. Al Mualim's speeches to Altair actually say something and it's not just filler dialogue and there's no humor etc., and Altair himself has character development with the other Assassins he speaks to. At first he's bitter about getting demoted and tries not to talk back to the assassins who now outrank him, but then slowly realizes he's an arrogant asshole and is open to listening to what they all have to say, and by the end Altair speaks more freely with them and the roles reverse once more in that they respect him again as the things he says toward the end are very wise and make sense, so toward the end of the game he truly does become a master once more that the others forgive and look up to.
It's really well done imo.

>English
>Arabic
not much of a difference these days let's be honest

>swarthy
The fuck? Do you actually know what that word means?

Is there any other game series that lets you run around climbing shit as the body you stabbed three minutes ago finally hits the ground and all the people act surprised?

Attached: 1649156188531.jpg (700x700, 97.6K)

That doesn't even happen in AC, the closet we got was Unity, since assassinating someone didn't instantly break your crowd stealth unless an enemy was looking at you

The new Hitman games.

Prince of persia two thrones

>dark brown hair
>dark brown eyes
>not black but definitely not pale skin complexion either
yup, he's a swarthy fuck alright

He's got hazel eyes IIRC. They look dark blue sometimes.

>Then 3 came and made everyone sad and bored with the worst mc ever.

Ezio was one of the most overrated characters in all of Assassin's Creed. How many times did he completely abandon the tenets of the creed throughout the course of his series of games? He never matured, even in old age. Ezio was nothing but a hypocrite who killed innocents like Tarik or the civilians in the Derinkuyu fire, and Ezio faced no repercussions for his actions. Yet he has the gall to chastise one of his assassin apprentices in Revelations for killing an innocent target. Ezio was a terrible character.

During the end of Assassin's Creed II, Ezio's quest for revenge leads to a climactic fistfight with the Pope, only for Ezio to have a holier than thou moment. Ezio spares the Pope's life as Ezio realizes that snuffing out Rodrigo Borgia won't bring back his dead father or brothers. Ezio is done with his life of killing. Yet Brotherhood reverts Ezio's character back to square one for no reason. In comes Cesare Borgia who kills Ezio's uncle Mario and sets Ezio off on yet another revenge quest. Ezio learned nothing by the end of Assassin's Creed II.

And it goes without saying that Assassin's Creed Revelations itself was a meandering game which exploited the Ezio fandom. All Ezio does is search for five MacGuffin keys, and by the end of Revelations, he simply comes to say is that he's nothing but a messenger for Desmond in the future. Ezio already realized this when Minerva talked to Desmond through Ezio as Assassin's Creed II came to its cliffhanger ending. Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Revelations are nothing but a massive waste of time. Fuck the Ezio trilogy and fuck the Ezio nostalgia fags who continue to shill this slop.

I mostly agree that Ezio trilogy is a bit overrated, but I liked the moment at the end of Revelations.

AC Rogue is very good, I wish we had more Templar stories

I'd like a medieval templar story. Or a medieval assassin story, even.

You could probably do something with the guy who inspired Robin Hood.

i thought about a Reconquista game where you are a templar in one of the catholic kingdoms but im not sure how that would go nowadays. There's still so many places that they could use I hope they stop with this pre-medieval times RPG nonsense
