DR is probably the closest but I haven't played it enough to make that claim.

Probably Dark Resurrection online. Before anyone goes off though even Tekken 7 is a balanced fighter. Yes even post season 3. Tekken is one of the most homogenised fighting games out there, you always know what damage your combos will do to an opponent because everyone has the same HP. The Tekken games aren't perfect but they don't suffer the sort of match up based balancing issues that 2D games like SFV does.

just Tekken Bowling (as a paid DLC). i also remember at least one random over-the-shoulder shooting section in Tekken 7's story mode. though at least in the case of Tekken 7 i believe it had a bit of a lower budget than usual since Tag 2 didn't do as well as they'd hoped. it feels like Mortal Kombat is really the only ongoing series with varied single player content but even that feels like it pales in comparison to how single player content was in the ps2 games, namely Mortal Kombat Deception.

I've still got the game on PS2 and it will still load up like a charm. Never figured out if Eddy Gordo was a playable character in it though. Pretty sure he was in the 4th game.

A simply good Tekken game. The music was the best thing to exist. There is also that Devil Within minigame and it was surprisingly fun to play on the PS2.

It's fun, feels good to play, stage and ost is solid, story mode was enjoyable and it even had an extra game mode which could unlock an old arcade game. I miss when games had this much effort put into it and gives you a lot to do.

It used to be 3 but Tekken 5 having access to all of the best titles from the ps1 era in their arcade modes still can't be topped. That kind of content simply wouldn't exist today in any form that hasn't been gutted to shit.

7 is pretty fucking well balanced, DLCs are an eyesore but they aren't broken like on release. You can win with pretty much anyone. A perfectly balanced game would be boring. T7 could be improved but it's not bad by any means in terms of its gameplay. The overall package outside of just raw gameplay is incredibly lackluster though
