Got a job interview at ActiBlizz tomorrow, junior position with decent benefits...

Got a job interview at ActiBlizz tomorrow, junior position with decent benefits, definitely beats what I got at the moment. Any tips on not fucking it up? Never had a decent job in my life, so no idea what the fuck to say on an interview

>Never had a decent job in my life
Regardless of the outcome this isn't about to change.
Try to slip references to the "glad you could bake it, Uther" copypasta into your interview.

just dont sperg out about niggers and trannies like a /vpol/ schizo and you will be fine

Don't say anything vague, build a rapport with the interviewers.
If it starts to go bad just take your pants off and shit on the table while telling them that's what you think of their games now

When they ask if you would ever take breastmilk from the shared refrigerator, don't go with your gut answer. This is a trick question.

Try working as a waiter, you'll earn more money that way.

just bee yourself :)

Ask them if them hiring you was an out of season April Fools joke

Try not to get raped by blizzard staff. Or ask if being raped means you get special privileges.

Which position is it for, user? What location? California? Paris? Cork?

I used to work in the Cork office 10 years ago

They had to close the Cork office due to its name bringing up associations of drinking

complain about niggers and trannies, make our voice heard, king!

Blizzard is a shit as fuck place to work.
t. worked as an in-house Q/A until they started letting people go around the time of the HotS plug-pull.

This is bait, right?

Don't drink the milk they offer you

Do you know what crunchtime is? Your life becomes 100% dedicated to the project, and you are expected to be in the office all day, everyday. Long lists of dead pets exist in games for a reason.

Fuck off, Trumpet.

Try to act as if you fit into the culture of the particular department you want to get into, try to bullshit with your references without being too obvious (everyone lies on their CV) and be at least decent at the job you want to be hired for. So if you're going for a software engineer position, know the basics of data structures and algorithms.

I don't imagine that you need a PhD in CS to get into Blizzard.

Try to subtly tell them that you're both Jewish and trans. If skin is light, get some lotion to make it tan

Yikes

If you get the job offer, could you get in touch with me, please?

How was the work as a Q&A, did you also have anything to do with other people who worked on projects?

Fuck off Bobby, you're gonna get kicked off soon

>If it starts to go bad just take your pants off and shit on the table while telling them that's what you think of their games now
do this, it's the least they deserve

Are you still there, i have a few questions, have you also been familiar with blizzard behind the games?

Are you the thread starter or just a person who's a bit upset?

I am the law

mention your pronouns are they/them and get hired instantly

Thanks, geni.

>"Decent benefits"
That's just the ones they list. Other benefits include your own gamer girl to humiliate and sexually harass. Great benefits, honestly.

Finally, a man on the inside. Look. I need to get into that breast milk vault. I'm putting together a team. You in?

Be willing to learn and work with teams. The amount of retards who don't know how to google things is astounding. Or if they ask questions they don't write anything down so they'll ask it next week. Really depends on the position you are interviewing for though. An art job is different from a programming gig.

unironicall wear a pride / gay shirt

You are still present?
If you're not there, there's no point in writing an answer.

suck the interviewers dick and you are guaranteed a job

May i ask, you are game dev employee?

>Trumpet
Not him but blacks under trump had the lowest unemployment ever. They got pushed back into the gutter with biden coming back, so yeah, take that as you will.

>It may not look like it, but I identify as trans and am in the process of transitioning
There you go, user. Obviously, don't do that, but nothing stops you from claiming it (and if they fire you, you can sue hard for sexual discrimination)

Alternatively, don't be a cringy autist nor a drama queen, that will put you above most game devs. Be capable, honest and respectful during the interview, look up ActiBlizz on Glassdoor, so you can get a glimpse of what they ask in interviews and prepare accordingly

if you're white you already have no chance
if you're not you already hired

>Long lists of dead pets exist in games for a reason
wait what?
what the fuck are you talking about?

What if she doesn't like getting her dick sucked?

When in doubt, be friendly. Not sure about Blizzard hiring processes but your future manager may be on the panel. No one wants to work with someone insufferable, so above all else, be polite and easy to get along with - the kind of person you'd want to have to spend 40 hours a week min with. Have some confidence because getting an interview itself means they see something positive in you, so just gotta bring it home.

Good luck user, hopefully ActiBlizz is working on something cool to turn around perceptions of the company, and you get some cool stuff to throw on your CV/cool stories to tell friends later

You are a game industry worker?

Shut the fuck up you nigger loving halfwit. Fuck off back to where you came from.

Yes

I would like to ask you about that, I'm interested..

Blizzard are so shortstaffed that honestly so long as you come across as a human being you're probably at least guaranteed a (low level) position

Bash Trump at every opportunity. Tell them you are "bisexual". Remember that no one can prove that you aren't.

You first.

Nice to hear, what was your experience like in the industry:
- Were you also involved in other projects in your working environment or what other colleagues do, including in branches?
- What did you work as and for which studio?
- Do you still work in the game industry or would you rather choose another job?
- Are you active in gaming stock markets or are you familiar with them?
- Did you also make close friends at your career?

why would you go to blizzard, they pay the least. At least have some self worth and go to a higher paying company like riot games where most senior blizz employees went.

Does it sound like you're a former ex Blizz employee, or am I wrong?

Its blizzard, your job is to fuck up. You will be fine

nah just a shill, heres a screenshot of some blizz employees discord though.

You need to get on the ladder before you can jump around within the fag major developer complex. The likes of Riot and Valve aren't bleeding staff so bad that they're desperate to hire anyone.

Lmao lil' dude is trying so hard

May I ask what is the name of the discord server?

Threads about interviews so I won't be giving my life's story. It's a mostly fun job that can get tedious at times. Lot of problem solving in my role. There are cool people and some egomaniacs. Some hard workers and some lazy people. Also NDAs so that's as much as I will say.

Ps: My Discord [501]Unit#5227

There is one thing you could possibly help me with, do you know what requirements are needed to be able to participate in an earnings call as a questioner?

Could you please add me

Did you write it down?
Hope you get in touch.
Wish you a good day.
