OP今日何するの?
>Jap
Don't use racist language please
Just started this but a new homework came in so..
A Japanese national holiday in commemoration of the greatest American president, G.W. Bush.
この漫画がずっと気になるからいつか読んでみたい
今日、TVerでドラマ見るよー
龍が如く5懐かしいなー
宿題頑張てください。
Golden Week, think of Christmas, except it lasts for an entire week. All those Japanese latchkey kids finally get recognized by their enslaved office working parents.
In the past, it mean JRPGs went on sale on PSN and various sites that sell videogames. Now, it means selling seven year old JRPGs on PSN for $30+.
Bill Clinton and Obama were the only good modern day presidents. All this closed border/mandatory passport nonsense started with Bush Jr.
What's the significance of it? I appreciate the deals but I never understood why its such a big thing.
isn't it just shortening finnish people are finns swedish people are swedes british people are brits what's so different with jap
>今日、TVerでドラマ見るよー
どんなドラマ?
"Jap" is a racial slur used by Americans when talking about Japanese people during the war.
>What's the significance of it?
It's basically a "coincidence" where there's 3 separate holidays happening close to each other so people started taking a whole week off and go travel instead. Today (29th) is Showa Day, the 2nd of may is constitution day, the 3rd is "Greenery day" and the 4th is Children's day. Monday and Friday are not a holiday but most people will take them off work anyway.
Stfu nigger let OP be, depends on how you use it.
I will play some Turok 2 on PC and play multiplayer Zomboid with frens.
>Monday and Friday are not a holiday but most people will take them off work anyway.
dishonorabru
Interesting, thanks for the info.
綾瀬はるかの新ドラマ、元彼の遺言状
I actually thought about not taking them off and since I work from home and literally every single one of my coworkers are taking the day off, I'd have nothing to do and could just play videogames (which I was planning to do anyway) but decided to be honest and just take them off my yearly vacation plan anyway.
>この漫画がずっと気になるからいつか読んでみたい
めっちゃくちゃおすすめだゾ
というか押見修造の作品はどれも独特の世界観あって全部オススメです
>Averting eye contact
Why are Japanese males such beta cucks?
Are the anons talking in moonrunes actually using Google translation and LARPing as nips? Can someone who knows Japanese confirm please because that would be peak autism
It's not google translate although it's not native/fluent Japanese either (not like it's a problem, it's a hard language).
>it's not native/fluent
It's informal Japanese if anything
That's not what I mean. I mean that there are some mistakes and unnatural phrasings/expressions.
Explain. Are they (you?) just LARPers?
the niggers are using fucking keigo on Yea Forums of all places, they're either larping n5s or english teaching monkeys
What does LARPer mean?
I am
I speak Japanese although my posts also have mistakes (I think at least) and I'm far from fluent. I live in Japan and am going to spend golden week playing videogames.
Is that LARPing? I don't know.
I'm not pretending to be Japanese but also I am not using Google translate to write Japanese either.
What's wrong with keigo? Even people on 5ch use it.
What about the others?
There's nothing wrong with keigo, this person doesn't really know what he's talking about or is only aware of basic Japanese and is dunning-krugering himself which is very common. Every time someone else uses Japanese around here (or djt, etc) there's always someone doing their best trying to point out what they think are "mistakes" (while completely missing the actual mistakes, usually). ます/です is a completely normal way of communicating even on imageboards and it's totally up to the individual, especially in a place that usually uses English and doesn't have common meme-language etiquette established for people to fallback to.
I don't know, I'm not the others. I can tell at the very least that they aren't native but that's it.
No I mean are they using Google translation?
Is there anything more cringe than people using non-english on English boards? I love Japanese with my soul but using it like this feels more sikrit club than anything.
No, they are not. Google translate is pretty obvious to spot and I don't see any sign of GT in their posts.
>t. stutters when a woman talks to you
Is Guild Wars that popular in Japan?
It's only used in an ironic sense at best lmao, or of course you have the SEAmonkey expats there who think they're in good company
You don't know anything about japanese imageboard culture, but please do keep up with your studies. 頑張ってください! w
Guild Wars?
I like Guild Wars!
I don't even know why you're sperging out.
you will never be japanese
see
We can literally go and check a random thread (elden ring generals for example) and see です used without anyone sperging out like you. You're trying too hard.
>It's only used in an ironic sense at best lmao
It's not
>You don't know anything about japanese imageboard culture
Good thing this isn't a Japanese imageboard and there's no Japanese language speaking culture here
>頑張ってください! w
Enough said
Honestly I don't really mind when people want to use a language they are learning as a way to practice and just communicate with others (natives or not), I just completely despise the crab bucket mentality that people like you have where you have to drag down everyone else due to some kind of sense of insecurity or maybe because you feel threatened that other people are also learning Japanese (despite not even showing yourself how much Japanese you do know).
It's a common mental illness around these communities and it spreads way too much for my likes. Let people practice whatever language they want without feeling like they need to get judged by a random retard that is nowhere near the position of being able to judge others in the first place.
Regardless of any of this, let me repeat, there is literally 0 problems with using ます/です and if you actually knew a little bit of Japanese you'd probably have been able to point out the actual mistakes instead.
Thank god, honestly
absolutely based, fuck these crab bucketing niggers
Ethnically, no. Legally, yes. Cope faggot.
Did you actually go through naturalization? I've considered it but they force you to give up your original citizenship which I'm really not willing to do as it's a huge pain in the ass. I decided to settle for PR but still...
今日はモンハンRISEだ
クエストは大体クリアしたけど恥ずかしながらバルク一式作ってないから作る
Go to 2ch and see how the average nip write
Like fucking shit
Is the same reason why you see many ESL actually typing better english than anglos.
Protip: you can't
That's true, however that's also part of what comes across as "unnatural". Foreigners in Japanese tends to "overexplain" and write longer passages whereas a native would really just write one or two words (unless they are writing some formal shit).
On top of that, the typos/mistakes that a foreigner makes usually relate to continuity of thought/logic (using wrong connectors, weird particles, etc) or a lot of stiff-sounding expressions instead of using a more natural way of phrasing the same idea from a native point of view.
Those are usually the telltale signs.
Since the VIPRPG GW contest games started getting posted I'm going to go through them.
viprpg2022gw.nobody.jp
But first some of my backlog, pic rel is from the 2020 GW contest. Kind of fun.
They seem pretty sensitive to foreign-esque Japanese though. I only go there sometimes but if the post is poorly worded in a suspicious way they'll start calling you Korean and insult you. They really don't like foreigners on their board I think, but again, not an expert, only go there sometimes. (Since I hate fiddling with VPNs for it and also just their site design in general).
最近、モンハンあんまりやってなくて
グダグダプレイばっかりでした笑笑
>Did you actually go through naturalization?
Nah, I'm shitposting. Just throwing it back to those retards saying that "becoming Japanese" is impossible.
>They seem pretty sensitive to foreign-esque Japanese though.
I remember I once posted literally 2 words in Japanese in a way that I was 100% sure was not wrong and still the first response that I got was something along the lines of "fuck, the foreigners have arrived"
>2ch
>in 2022
Those useless boomers just copy what 5ch post. 5ch is the way to go.
exceptions don't make a rule my n5 friend
>literally 0 problems with using ます/です
on twitter and other normalfag sites yes, but we were talking about imageboards here, keigo on jap imageboards is the equivalent of saying n-word instead of nigger or transfolk instead of tranny on Yea Forums, it's just common courtesy to learn the culture of a place before you go shitting all over the streets
