Sure
On one hand I agree and love the pacing.
On the other it's pretty gay that the game gives you more or less exp to keep you within the rigid level range of whatever area you're in
I think it's because everyone was waiting on the 3ds pokemon games to come out. BW2 came out after the 3ds was released
>bellybutton piercing
this site has ruined my brain and i need to start killing people to make it stop
I hate zoomers so much
Are you okay user?
Pokemon's a special case where the worst the game is, the better it sells. This is why ORAS, LGPE and BDSP sold better than HGSS.
Limiting the new gen to only have pokemon from that region should have become the standard.
Its literally just because the unova dex was so mediocre
Although, as a kid i loved the mascots. Honestly not sure how these sold worse when almost everyone had them in my high school
>On the other it's pretty gay that the game gives you more or less exp to keep you within the rigid level range of whatever area you're in
How is this gay? If anything every JRPG should do this.
>That piercing
It can't be... she would never.... r-right?

Why can't Amerimutts speak their language?
>>Best games in the franchise
Stop
Ah, now it all makes sense
Why did you post Galar?
Casuals love buying bad games over good games
Its really easy to pass basic education
you forgot to put the mandatory roadblock quest between each gym
>their language
Every pokemon game is extremely linear. Just because Unova doesn't hide it doesn't mean it's different.
Where do you go immediately after getting Surf in R/S/E? It's Mauville but how do you get there?
lol holy cope. you cant even do a town or gym out of order in unova when it was easy to do so in earlier games
fans in the series weren't ready for a change and has not recovered since
>Every pokemon game is extremely linear
>you cant even do a town or gym out of order in unova when it was easy to do so in earlier games
That's because there's a 50/50 shot you get a fucked up level curve out of it.
What is that, fucking Galar?
thats it im getting a gun
why are we pretending gen 5 has a balanced level curve?
That's not how the map is
yes it is
it's funny how people complain about gen 6's pacing but then turn around and are fine with gen 5 having literally only one route between each gym
I think I blew through the first 5 gyms in like 5 hours of gameplay
>Pic unrelated
So the burkinabe has shit taste, and is retarded? How worse could it get for (you)?
Yes. The game got a good level curve that skyrockets in the postgame like it should.
I HATE THAT STUPID FLYING RAT
post more funny images please
>The game got a good level curve
being ~10 levels over all the NPCs is a good level curve?

The masses have shit taste, what else is new?
Pokemon fans have shit taste. Do you really think they'll like the only objectively good pokemon game?
how are these worse than DPPt?
Most Pokemon fans like Gen 1-2 and PLA though.
pokemon isn't about the game, the gameplay has never been anything special. it's about the designs, and the Gen V designs fucking sucked.
Well of fucking course you’re gonna be overlevled if you only use the same 3 Pokémon
>the objective worst gen
>shit gen
>don't ever plan to play PLA
You were saying?
>being ~10 levels over all the NPCs is a good level curve?
That's how you know Gen 5's level curve is good. You don't even need a Vs. Seeker to make a strong team quickly.
>Most Pokemon fans like Gen 1-2
They like Pokemania.
>3 Pokemon overleveled
>3 Pokemon completely neglected
We gonna pretend every other Pokemon game has better pacing than gen5? Literally every other game you can accidentally end up 15-20 levels higher than the gym leader across your whole fucking team as early as the third gym.
What do you mean? You didn't like Gears, Swan, Candle or Deer?
People often bring up the linearity of Unova, but they always fail to mention that each individual route is very well designed, with plenty of nooks and crannies.
Anyway, I would assume the low sales are because five gen 4 games already came out for the DS, so people thought "I don't need this; I already have a Pokemon game for my DS."
>you cant even do a town or gym out of order in unova
And is that desirable? Having the game accommodate for that is how you end up with Chuck having 2 lvl 30 pokemon as the 5th gym.
Gen 6 is stupidly linear. Blackout not allowing you to explore the entire Lumiose city stupidly linear.
>Sixth Gym
>Ferrothorn at level 41
Ferroseed can only be caught in the cave right before the sixth gym, which means you grinded to get that Ferrothorn to that level
Best is BW2.
They should've been 3D 3DS launch titles. BW is the fourth mainline DS game, so there was not as much as incentive to buy them and fatigue was setting in. With unova's emphasis on newness and the unique dex, it would've made a lot more sense on a new system. I guarantee if BW and BW2 were 3DS titles with nothing else different about them besides being 3D they'd be immensely praised and profitable.
That's how all pokemon games are, Bulgarian.
The good thing about Gen 5 is that they don't force the HMs as hard as they did in Gens prior and have more rewarding exploration.

Back to /vp/, discordtroon.
She looks like she jobs to a hung Black.
You got BTFO'd in /vp/, cheating faggot. Your opinion has no value.
It's one same autist that has been spamming vp for close to year now with the same gifs. He stopped posting there after people constantly call him out on his bullshit.
Oh yeah and same thing applies here, Darumaka can only be caught right before the Emolga fight at levels 15-18. You’re using Pokémon you exp grinded and pretending as if you just played the game naturally
Serperior, Stoutland, Excadrill, Ferrothorn, Swadloon, Krookodile, Sigilpyh, Jellicent, Scrafty, Sawsbuck, Mienshao, Druddigon, Zoroark, Cincinno, Galvantula, Chandelure, and Stunfisk are totes based.
why would I use more pokemon when the game doesn't give me a reason to?
>but they always fail to mention that each individual route is very well designed
yeah bro look at these well designed individual routes. So much gameplay here, walking and fighting shitty NPCs using underleveled pokemon.
Contrary to what discord trannies would think, of course not.
>It's one same autist that has been spamming vp for close to year now with the same gifs
Makes sense. Of all the legitimate issues Gen 5 had, poor level curve is not one of them.
>the /vp/ discordtranny is lurking in this thread
>being 10 levels over the NPCs isn't an issue because...it just isn't ok?

>Y-YOU GRINDED
what is it with unova fanboys not being familiar with their own game?
The fact that there are Gen wars on /vp/ when all the games are so similar to each other is so fucking hilarious.
There are some stinkers there as a result of having everything as a gen 1 clone but the good designs are some of the best among all gens.
>And is that desirable?
yes? how is linearity combined with story roadblocks good lmao it makes it have 0 replayability mostly because your pokemon selection is always limited
Sorry tranny, but Gen 5 will always be top tier despite your seething.
It's like Zelda where each game has a strength that sets them apart, but for some reason that strength never carries over to the next one.
