You play 20-year-olds games because everything modern sucks

Well, what genres do you like?

Try city skylines, it's quite a demanding game despite the genre.

>Only a 3070
Waste of cash

why did you buy a video card right before the new gen releases but not after the massive discounts that this gen will get?
you burned half of what you spent on that just because you didn't want to wait another 3 months

What genres do u like?

This is the correct answer.

runs fine on modern hardware?
I've felt the urge to replay these games recently

You fell for it too?

>8gb
>3070ti
Ahahahahahaha you done goofed

40XX series is right around the corner, should have waited.

Try a bunch of survival games and tell me which ones dont suck

only demanding modern games worth playing that could actually use your GPU are niche VR titles, they aren't incredible or anything but they at least try to do something new and interesting.
modern AAA and even AA gaming is boring trash that hasnt been worth playing in over a decade.

ALWAYS check pcgamingwiki which in this case leads to ThirteenAG's fix. thirteenag.github.io/wfp#nfsu

Cyberpunk, Metro Exodus.

It's time to...
RIDE

I have a 3070ti and the only video game I played today was Pokemon Yellow.

hope youre at least mining crypto to get some of your moneys worth

microsoft flight sim 2020

No, I'm just incredibly bad with money, I'm not bragging. I bought it literally like a week before the price dropped another $100.

Megalolz.

well fire up that crypto farm then. even though the profit isnt the same it was, no reason not to mine since you already got your card anyway. unless you live in germany with ridiculous energy prices or something.

3060, 3060tgi, or 3070ti?

Don't know if the several hundred bump from 60 to 70 is worth it. I'm on a 970 still and figure it's about time I've moved on up.
And wasn't there something about Intel's new processors having DRM stuff embedded in them or was that a fever dream?

3060ti or 3070, 3060ti is worth getting over base but the 3070ti isn't. the 3070ti is a huge power hog for very little performance gain. if you're still on 1080p the 3060ti is great, if you're on 1440p look at benchmarks and decide.

whats your cpu and whats the framerate/resolution you target?

i bought a 3080 12 gb a week ago and have no idea about to play with it besides elden ring

What are some good looking 1440p 144hz games and also fun?? I dont care if they are old

Attached: 1649916980193.png (427x518, 303.94K)

ms flight sim 2020
rdr2 can be fun if you like pretending to be a hobo living in the woods, hunting and camping, the story missions are trash though
need a beefy cpu for both though especially at 144hz

I have a 3080 and elden ring still runs at 60fps with a ton of drops to around 50fps. Its because of the game??

The prices have really come down and so is avilability. Im genuienly itching to jump from 3060 ti i got back at launch for msrp to £800 3080 model

yes, japs cant code for shit. it stutters even on a 3090 ti intel i9 combo. and the game is capped at 60 unless you install a mod.

Thanks. I figured that would be the case. Still betting on the prices coming down a bit more since even Microcenter is still several hundred above MSRP, despite having fifteen of a card in stock.

CPU is whatever I can buy after the graphics card. This machine is old but hasn't failed me yet. Figured I'd eventually join this new decade.
I got a very good deal on the monitor please no bully.

>2 years after launch cards are almost back at MSRP level
>people are celebrating this
man what a horrible timeline

Decided so far on Elden Ring, Halo MCC, Doom Eternal, NieR Automata, Cyberpunk and Death Stranding,
Should also have noted I haven't been able to play games for a long while and finally caved on a new build

>i7 2600k
>1080p60
lmao. you wont utilize your 3060 ti for shit. even when you're not cpu bottlenecked your resolution and framerate are so low the gpu barely has to do shit.

Deathloop
Bright memory infinite
Vampire the masquerade bloodhunt
These are good and require a good pc

Bought a 3060Ti ($500) to replace a dying 970 and the only game that's been pushing it is Death Stranding. Don't ususally play AAA games so I didn't feel the need to splurge too much.

You play the same games you already were because nothing new is enticing or worthwhile enough to validate having it.
>t. 3080

>buying a 3070 in 2022AD
You're a little silly aren't you?

>Theres not a single good new game!
>Also didnt play a single new game
Its you who sucks

name some good new games user

I dont give recomendations to mouthbreathing redditors who cant search for themselve, but theres allready some mentioned in this thread.
Bet you didnt play a single one of them

why so angry? i was just asking for some good new games.

>>Theres not a single good new game!
>>Also didnt play a single new game
I never said that. There's nothing both "good" and "intensive" enough to justify it, retard.

Be honest, how much of the games mentioned in the thread did you play allready?
Fuck off

Alright lets see all the "modern" games...
>Metro
>launched before the 30 series
>still played it and "meh"
>Cyberpunk
Was fine, worked fine on my old used 2070S too.
>Deathloop
kek no that is a shit game. Pirated to try it and uninstalled the same day.
>Bright Memory Infinite
Isn't that the like 2 hour tech demo most people forgot about (including me)?
>Vampire the Masquerade Bloodhunt
>Battle Royale
>Recommended is a 1080
Haven't played it and I got bored of that genre in the early-mid days of PublixG.

So user, where are the GOOD games that justifies a 30 series card?

>I didnt play the games
>I have esp i can tell without playing them
Juys kill yourself allready

How is Minecraft raytracing on the 3060 ti?
Should I buy it for it?

>1 game I didn't play because it's a fucking Battle Royale
>"I now have my shitty argument!"
Still waiting.

Minecraft RTX runs fine at 1080/144 on 3060 Ti.
Although I wouldn't use Minecraft as a baseline, since it's the easiest game to run raytraced. Even a 2060 can do it without too much trouble.

isnt rtx limited to the bedrock edition which isnt really worth playing due to lack of mod support?

Bright memory infinite is not a demo, bright memory is the demo for infinite, which you would know if you played it.
You also propably didnt play deathloop.
Stop lying you embarassing piece of shit and go kys allready

I don't use mods much, desu.
Already got the Java version from way back, just wondering if I should get the bedrock edition so I can enjoy those sexy rays now I have a 3060 Ti

Stilllllllll waiting.

>XC3
lol

Elden Ring was unironically really really good.
If you're not a scrub at least

I already played that to death.

It would be more accurate to say that almost all of the new games worth playing don't need a video card that powerful to be played.

it was okay but i don't think it does anything that earlier from soft games didn't do better.

Guys

Should i buy a 3080 or a 3070/ti and send my 1080 off?

Is there a game you can't run? Just keep using the 1080.
