balkanizing Yea Forums is a must, but balkanizing Yea Forums into individual game genres doesn't make much sense since so many users will overlap between genres and just want one board to post on.

this is why splitting Yea Forums into /nin/, /xbox/, /ps/, and /pc/ makes more sense. you generally have less overlap between platform users and even idorts will always have a preferred platform. coom and eceleb threads would still be a problem, but console war shitposting would be down and /pol/ threads would be fewer as it would be harder to target one particular board.
