How many games had some weird, made up name that's hard to spell? Very little. Even the Japanese ones have the name kinda simple. Elona, Ninja Gaiden, Metroid: these are short names Than you have Maj'Eyal, which not only has that ' to confuse you, but it's hard to pronounce and remember

It helps that none of the dialogue even makes refereneces to it.

The dev is quite into that nonsense, so when some user said that the game is also about that, Yea Forums jumped on that and hated on the game for borderline no reason. It's gotten to the point where Celeste threads don't even mention the game, they just rant about trannies.
