I don't to worry about about viruses infecting consoles.

I do see the strengths of PC, but I'm just not one for mouse and keyboard for games.

I like building collections for a console that isn't of the current generation. I am aware of the convenience of emulators and I often do use them but when confronted with the option to play everything I find it hard to be excited to play anything. Overabundance is a blight. Emulators are best used for trying out a game (Ecks vs Sever GBA) and then later buying a physical copy. Once the financial investment is made, then sparks a desire to get one's money's worth by actually finishing the game.
I also have a hard time not using the speed up button on emulators because it is too convenient but it can also ruin the intended experience of a game unless you balance it with self-imposed restrictions. It's nice to grind levels in Pokemon faster than usual but Potions are completely trivialized when I can speedwalk from route to town after every battle. If I play Pokemon Colosseum it can be mind-numbingly slow at times and yet the experience is made more memorable by the commitment.

I gave pc gaming a shot, and I definitely enjoyed the advantages but it's just not for me. I don't want to play where I work, use mk+b anyway, and I like to sit on the couch with my dogs and use rest mode + quick resume. I don't even care about exclusives that much. Thankfully I can also emulate from my series x so I don't feel like there's a ton I can't do. I also don't play online either so I couldn't care less about online being paid

Fun, ease of use and don't have to use my mouse and keyboard on my couch / recliner and mess with the settings. I still play desktop but switch and ps5 are fun too.

I switched to PC again last year. Also found out Basedny changed their cloud policy to needing + to access it and after several months if you don't stay subcribed they erase your data.

I remember one time, this was about a decade ago, I came to a friends house and they asked if I wanted to play Budokai Tenkaichi 3. I was so hyped and said "sure" and instead of getting a Wii remote or a PS2 controller and us sitting down to play, he showed me his computer with the game emulated on it. I was immediately turned off and just told him I changed my mind and wasn't in the mood. Now I know what you're thinking, "that's pretty autistic, dude" but the vibe of that just isn't the same.
I really can't stand playing games on a pc, that's just how I am and always have been. To me consoles are where the real fun and interesting games are and pc... I sort of look at it as the "normalfag zone". The amount of streamer shilling for it, all the games being geared towards fps fans and f2p gamers, I'm not into it.
