i tried a souls game bloodborne and it just isnt fun, the player is gimped , so are the enemies ai but the game cheats for them, bullshit moves, clever play negated by said bullshit.... lol like using terrain... hiding behind barriers isnt a viable stategy in any souls jank. great games really. the reused assets. and even aside from that, the gameplay loop just isnt fun.

i really like how ER rewards tactical approaches to fights, taking the high grounds, utilizing barriers, setting up traps, using distractions or pitting enemies against one another, swapping between numerous viable weapons during combat to adapt to changing fight ai tactics, using hazards like fire pits, brambles and exploding barrels to the players advantage, instead of jank ai randomly falling off cliffs. ..... oh wait im describing a good game not ER. all souls games suck.

The pattern is clear now more than ever, any FromSoftware project that has Yui Tanimura involved in anyway, will be either mediocre or garbage. Hidetaka Miyazaki said that with Elden Ring "he had to delegate things to others more than usual" and it shows. Elden Ring is not a good soulsborne game, it is one of the worst, if not the worst:
