If you were to rip off Elins and put them in another game how would you do it? I like the designs, the animal ears and the frilly clothes. Their lore is whatever though. I think you could add males too since girls would like them (doesn't have to imply they reproduce sexually).
I had this idea for my game where a minor forest deity took pity on dead children and would revive them (without memories) as not!Elins so they could enjoy one last summer before passing on to the afterlife. But then players would get attached to children that would be doomed to pass on so I'm not sure it's a good idea.

If it was up to me, I'd make them some sort of pseudo amazons forest spirits. Not ultra ripped or anything, just a very territorial race that looks outwardly cute but is seemingly brutal to outsiders.
Then they're inwardly cute within the confines of their lands and surprisingly passionate.
Males allowed, though how you make a male notElin I don't know.

TERA had a lot of great systems and aspects but lacked content, it was significantly more fun than trash like WoW or ffwhatever that are built on archaic, flawed systems from the ground up.

Not very original but I'd make it some combination of Neverland and Wonderland with similar 19th century aesthetics where the childlike race endlessly plays dressup, has tea parties and goes on adventures. The girls would start with the frilly clothes while the boys get the suits and hats but with 'fancy dress' anything is possible.

Not really, I remember just sitting around or erping because there was fuckall to do a lot of the time, TERAs levelling was great but there wasn't a lot to do at endgame, maybe there was way later into the game but I'd quit by then, I mean near release when the game was still fun to level in and solo bams and such.

Granblue Fantasy has Erunes which are kinda similar, but it's a an old as fuck png gacha.
Although it has Versus, a fighting game spin-off, and an action JRPG releasing soon(tm).
Anyway, Erunes are just humans with animal ears and tend to be tribal and dress in clothes that reveal their backs.
It's different from Elins, which from a quick glance, I assume are a mono-gendered cunny race?

never had this problem. fraywind/corsairs/3s all popped near instantly when the game was good. if you were just waiting for instance resets and erping in town yes there wasn't much to do.

Playing tank in Tera was the most fun I had in mmos. It actually felt like I was hitting and blocking and not swinging at air.

Yeah, TERA is the one game I've actually enjoyed tanking in because of the way the combat works, it's engaging.
I wish some of the ideas in the game would catch on in other places, but we all know most of this is just going to die here until people try and reinvent the wheel in 10 years when ff14 or whatever finally dies down.

They're both a race of children with animal ears in a Korean MMO and B&S came out 18 months after TERA. Sure they took their own spin on it, but it's pretty obvious Elins were the inspiration.

And they completely lack the wide hips, big butts, and thick thighs that are the actual distinguishing traits of Elin, not "girl with animal ears" which is already everywhere.

Small statured and animal ears is barely inspiration.
Elins were obviously designed for coomers, while Lyn looks like some generic cute shit.
A similar issue is when Lalafells and Harvins from Granblue gets compared, when the former looks like a creepy toy and the latter are just human toddlers with funny ears.
Yes they have similar traits, but they're far from the same, it's like comparing Dwarves and Hobbits really.

Elves should be saved too. There are no elves as tall, milky, and stacked as the ones in Tera.
