the most overrated boring game ever made

kino

that's not dark soles

Savescumming. Lots of it.

fear of white dots

The shittiest pistol in a video game ever

It’s okay. Gunplay gets a lot better.

Confusion and sadness and finally glee and satisfaction

life in the zone

Savescumming. Lots of it.

Strong atmosphere
great level design with a lot of detail
retarded gunplay that is fun when it works (ALWAYS fire in bursts, even up close)

gopnik simulator

Best atmosphere in a game ever.

Plus it makes you really feel like Road Side Picnic by Arkady Strugatsky and Boris Strugatsky

reloading just to kill enemies in a cooler way.

Frustration until you find a scoped rifle and become the legendary Slav Slayer.

please whatever you do DO NOT listen to Yea Forums when it tells you to play without mods

it's a great but broken game that needs to be fixed to play

I played it just fine without mods fagit

I played my first go around on all three games without mods just fine. It's slavic jank but that's what stalker is and no amount of mods will ever change that.

No it doesn't. Even if you hit some game breaking bug you're fine as long as you save sequentially and not in a single file. Reloading before the issue happened will typically fix it just fine.
Or you could link a BUGFIX ONLY mod and not one that also happens to change half the game to be easier.

I recommend ZRP mod for a first playthrough. It can maintain the vanilla experience but with some bug fixes.

there isn't a single good gameplay mod for shadow of chernobyl, not even one that solves the game's biggest gameplay flaws (time-to-aim). Call of Pripyat is the one that has good mods.
The ZRP fan patch is great and highly recommended (especially if you want to do side quests) but I liked SoC even without it.

A lot of anons here will tell you that you need to play on Master because every other difficulty turns the enemies into bullet sponges, but it's a meme so just try out all of them and see which one you're most comfortable with. Also I never understood why some people recommend turning off the crosshair

skill issues

Attached: 1640744545123.jpg (1920x1080, 668.5K)

Shitty game with a mediocre gunplay, level design, mechanics, ai and top tier atmosphere for burger soiboys. Also trannypunk tier "flop" in CIS countries

Why didn’t P*tin wait until the sequel got released?

> Also I never understood why some people recommend turning off the crosshair
Get out of here casual

it would have been bad anyways

exactly lol. The most retarded shooting mechanics I've seen in a videogame (even considering it's an RPG): omg best game ever???

doesn't the difficulty basically give enemies more hp? in a way, the harder the difficulty, the less bullets enemies take to kill, the more ammo you'll have

master is still the best regardless, playing on anything less makes you a casual

No. Difficulties only change damage dealt by enemies, artifact scarcity and loot

>Campfire Song DLC
>Season Pass
>NFTs
he saw enough

No. Higher difficulties make you die faster but don't affect anything else

Kino atmosphere and immersion.

But yes save scumming if you playing on highest difficulty. Worth it lad

It's the opposite actually, the lower the difficulty the more damage your weapons do. Enemy HP isn't affected by difficulty. This user is still right but I think it's worth it for a first timer to try out the lower difficulties first and get accustomed to things

good game

Because you will sooner experience S.T.O.L.K.E.R. (they changed the name check your Slav privilege) in real life than play that.

ignore this faggot. stalker does not need mods

Casual shitter spotted

>dark soles
HNNNGGG I also am a foot guy

they nixed the NFTs

too late

These.

boredom

Play only on hardest difficulty and you'll have a good time

All they were gonna do with the NFTs was auction off some prizes like having your face scanned and put on some random NPC or your name graffitied on a wall somewhere.

They could literally do the same thing with an ebay auction. Using NFTs was pointless anyway because nobody is going to pay a bunch of money to have their face in the game and then turn around and sell the the NFT before redeeming it. Once you've redeemed the prize and had your face put in the game then the NFT has zero value. The only reason they were going with NFTs was that they had worked out a partnership with an NFT market company, which was no doubt a better deal for them than ebay's 10% cut.

Go play misery faggot.

>They could literally do the same
Yeah exactly, they could've just scan people and that's it but no you gotta do the shady shit in the hope to maximize profit bro
You don't just "develop a game out of passion" and then one day decide to do this kind of shit

NFTs aren't shady in the way that they were going to use them. It just offered them a better percentage of profit than giving ebay jews 10%.

I'm not a fan of NFTs and I'm not upset that they nixed the plan but it wasn't malicious or anything, just a way for them to make some extra money off of richfags.
Will the gameplay live up to expectations? I'm skeptical but I prefer to be optimistic until we see actual footage.

the fact that after all this time, they've still only shown scripted cutscenes instead of actual gameplay systems means Stalker 2 is doomed to be a Metro clone at best

That's definitely a concern, but the original games had very linear scripted sections too, so I remain optimistic until proven otherwise.

make sure to mod it slightly, at least weapon overhaul and some other mods regarding weapon durability or trading if you really want. but weapon overhaul is important, so it looks and sounds a lot less janky

>trust the plan bro

annoying ammo management

kino to the nth degree

Attached: get out of here stalker.webm (640x480, 1.5M)

I'm just not going to be blackpilled about the game until it's out and I can make an informed judgement. I'm not pre-ordering it either.

clown car

can't sleep
slavs gonna surround me

turning off all hud immerses you more. you can see most of your vitals and stuff in the inventory and for boolets, you just count your mag and after a while you get a feel for it anyway.

the original Stalker game was marketed with actual gameplay footage from day 1, showing off all sorts of interactive systems and gameplay tech

Great game that is blatantly unfinished at parts and is almost unbearable to play at a few others. For all of the "That Part" moments the game has it makes up for it with just as many sections that are among the best and most memorable I've seen in any game. Also worth playing through a second time with the AMK mod because that mod keeps the original experience in-tact while making the AI more dynamic, more akin to how the AI was supposed to be originally.

I love STALKER. I love Pathologic. What should i play next?
