I remember hating this game after playing this game on hard, decking out Bayak with all legendary gold gear only to have the game switch me to his wife downgrading all my weapons to blue and then forcing me to fight a boss with her basic blue gear.

Augustus was hand picked by Caesar. Marc Anthony was just one of the rich Roman cronies benefitting off of Caesar’s attack against the senate and was as good as a henchman. Read Cicero to get a good understanding. Even Caesar himself was not favourably seen by most Romans. Marc Anthony was basically the Ted Cruz or Don Trump Jr of Caesar’s Trump.

Not really, he just inherited power form Julius and then made progressively more stupid choices to alienate himself from rome's power structure and throw his lot in with the east, betting everything on a glorious campaign.

Caesar had many “second in command” and Marc Anthony amounted to nothing but a crybaby loser sitting at home getting drunk and having sex with prostitutes while Caesar was off on his Galic wars and planning the Triumverate takeover with Pompeii and Crassus. Not even Marc Anthony’s personal circle respected him.

Nah, she just sort of abandons the Medjay at the end after they help her which forces them to become the Assassins Brotherhood to keep everyone’s powers in check. Otherwise Cleopatra is shown as she was in history: cunning, sexy, and ruthless. I liked that they also showed the famous Cleopatra-in-a-rug with Appollodorus of Sicily in the story.
