I wonder if we can actually get a handheld thread without it dying of neglect or being hounded into the grave by insecure decklets?

Waiting for my kit. Reeeeeeeeeeee

Can I fit an RPi4 in that?

Yes

these fags will have you waiting literally half a year

I brought my 3ds with me to school to play Pokémon but I’ve already come to terms with the fact that unless I’m just shiny hunting, using genned mons for battle frontier, or just taking in the nice atmosphere, I can’t bring myself to go through the story mode again because it’s fucking boring. Challenge runs like nuzlocke make that shit more tedious instead of difficult anyways. Ninja gaiden and megaman do go hard on a portable console though.

>sticks not symmetrical
keep your chinkshit

>giving both sticks parity on emulation devices
why

Don't put that curse on me. Whatever, most of my game time is on the couch anyways.

should be on my FACe you fag

What's that gadget you've got there user

currently warpinating a batch of switch roms to my steam deck

Which one?

the only console worth emulating that has two sticks is ps2 and that has symmetrical sticks

The only way I can possibly imagine justifying having all those systems is if you're a YouTube reviewer like Retro Game Corps or something.

So here's a question. I want a nice little budget handheld, mostly for streaming. Odin seems like a bit too much for my needs, but I don't know, would something like ODROID-Go Super be good enough? I also dislike the symmetric sticks on it.

Hell yeah

>finally get steamdeck
>set up gc/ps2 emulators based on video guides
>everything crashes or runs weird (menu lag, audio issues, sometimes my deck hard crashes)
>we all have the same hardware
I feel so retarded cause I know its my fault but I dont know why

Anyone ordered this book?

What? I know people that >all those systems
three of them? I'm pretty frugal, user. Most people have a ton more. I tend to sell them and keep to three though. And my laptop of course.

If it's mainly for streaming, might wanna look into the RG503? It's cheap, and has an OLED screen that is functionally identical to the vita.

That's me and retropi. Can't get any of thr psx Tony Hawks to run. Works fine on my PC emulator.

That guy probably spends more time reviewing and setting up devices than actually playing them

Anyone ever used pic related? It's actually really good for emulating

Not sure what happened there.

I used to have one of those. Pretty comfortable, but you will ALWAYS be aware that you're using a phone inside a telescopic controller, if you know what I mean. There's just something so cheap about everything except the gamesir x2.

Though maybe I am biased because I HAD to buy one..

I just bought Pillars of the Earth for 2 €, listed as unsupported but the only thing that doesn't work is the standard control scheme, I replaced it with the mouse + keyboard one and everything seems to work fine now.

Why would you want an AYN Odin, an Anbernic, whatever the laptop thing is, AND a Steam Deck? They just make eachother completely redundant.

Forgot to say I'm playing it on steamdeck

Getting my Steam Deck in August. I've been enjoying my Switch Oled in the meantime. Oled is actually kind of worth it and improves the experience of using the Switch by a considerable amount, idk if its just me though. The combination of the bezels being massively reduced and getting much better screen colors does wonders for it, I don't think I would have enjoyed PLA quite as much without it.

Meant for

>Anbernic
PS1 and down
>AYN Odin
PS2/GC and wii + android
>GPD winmax
PC games
>Deck
portable computer

>GPD winmax
PC games
>Deck
portable computer

sorry, swap these two around. And add keyboard based PC games to GPD winmax

Funniest post I've seen in one of these threads.

ayn odin is actually light and i dont emulate past ps2

What's funny about it?

Try using the emudeck setup, pcsx2 standalone crashes on my deck but when I use it inside the emudeck setup it works fine

But you could get rid of them all and use the Deck or Odin alone for all of it. Instead you've got multiple devices around doing things that can already be done by the others.

Is this GPD Winmax good for anything?

>3ds with me to school
You have to be 18 or over to post 8 years ago

>But you could get rid of them all and use the Deck or Odin alone for all of it.
I have had everything all-in-one before, but I don't like it that way. For example, if I wanna pop a GBA game on, I would prefer it on a small device that I can keep in my pocket. I don't wanna have to have a fan chugging away on some huge monster just to play a snes game.

personal preference.

Uh...yeah?

>I don't wanna have to have a fan chugging away on some huge monster just to play a snes game.
this desu, absolutely retarded amount of people using the deck only to play ds and below

Can Odin actually play PS2 games?

As a committed Deckfag, I can see the value in the physical keyboard, but mostly for using it as a portable pc. Other than that, I wish GPD would just scrap the whole max line and focus on the regular Win line. The suppressed physical keyboard on the Win 3 is genius, and its surprisingly powerful for a vega UMPC. A used one would be the only gpd product I would ever consider getting over a Steam Deck, however I've checked my local online sellers and absolutely nobody is selling UMPCs. As for eBay, the used sellers are completely out of their minds with the pricing.

Plays everything I throw at it. Most people still don't know to use the experimental aetherSX2 build with the freedreno turnip GPU drivers built specifically for the adreno 630 so all the videos you see of it getting 45fps are wrong.

pic related is a tough game to get going, and it works perfectly on that build of ASX2

Attached: ACFodinpro.jpg (2000x1500, 218.91K)

for me its the funkey s
the best handheld emulator (for gameboy games)

>posting the edit
baldie doxxed himself in that thread, trying to shit on the deck.
don't defend him

Isn't the screen too small?

post the original then
who cares?

Steam Deck is basically all I want in a modern handheld. Too bad I can't fit it in a pants pocket.

Anybody have any experience with Anbernic stuff?

I’m tempted to get a RG351V on offer to emulate 2D stuff, but I’ve not bought any of the Chinese stuff before

no

I never feel comfortable leaving my house without my backpack full of survival gear desu, steamdeck fits right in

We've known he's a britbong since forever.

>RG503
Thanks, looks pretty good, but I watched a review now and streaming doesn't seem to work very well on it.

go for it. it's an excellent machine with brilliant build quality. Anbernic and AYN aren't made of shit chinesium like some others.

What is that laptop I keep seeing?

if you ever want help setting stuff up make a thread and ill probably respond

The gpd win max? it's like a portable ultrabook.

>Steamdeck
>Portable computer
Guess in some ways laptops are portable computers, so not entirely wrong

The 351 stuff is all solid. d-pad is shockingly better quality chinesium than what is used in the most expensive controllers.

Thanks fren. I'm a pcfag though so I'll probably be alright.
