I played the first one, its kind of shit ngl. If you use any interesting abilities you get the worst ending, is kind of retarded.

Wyman is never given a gender. You made up something to be angry about. Not to mention, Wyman is mentioned ONCE in the first level of the game, in a letter you can easily skip. Emily never thinks about them. No character ever mentions or references them. They exist solely in a 50 word long letter (and in your head, rent free)

I think it's good, the atmosphere and the story are worse than the original, but the gameplay should be better. I never found myself wanting to go back to it though. Changing the outsider's voice and giving him a backstory in a forced unskippable cutscene really ruined him for me.

Developer literally answered this question when proposed and he said Emily wasn't gay. There are notes in the game referring to a man called Wyman who is a Noble, in which Emily exchanges letters of romance.
Not mentioning the whole idea that Dishonored is a series about Aristocrats fixing the empire's problems and then showing that the people they fucked over in the long run were the ones that fucked up the kingdom.

On my first run, Bryne. Paolo's compound is way better to play around in, unlike the Overseers which is a bit of a walk in the park.

The game is built around stealth but its not certainly built around pacifist routes. Almost every ability is offensive in some way, the game is simply not designed for two playstyles and it really shows.

It's better than Dishonored 1 for sure. Play Death of the Outsider as well. That one's also fun (and has some of the best powers in the series).

Death of the outsider fixed the mana system but the story is even worse than 2 and removing the outsider was shortsighted hence why deathloop took a 200 years time skip.

It's a fucking gender of a character in a video games. Why do you even care? It doesn't affect you unless you seriously have this much stake in what characters fuck who.
In terms of powers it had some okay ones, I just feel like it's way too short and a lot of the levels are pretty basic. That said, I do like some of the bounties and optional activities.

Even though I enjoyed Dishonored 2 and Deathloop, I feel like it would be nice for Arkane to expand on their player movement and the point of view. It's a little stilted in terms of movement, to the point where it felt samey to play Dishonored 2 and Deathloop, they aren't too different at all (probably what makes people dislike Deathloop a lot with more of the same powers).

her blink can be abused if you memorize the physics, it's deeper than corvo's blink.
either way, you can use all skills with newgame+

For me its still the best looking game ever, everything is art directed, not lazy photogrametry or quixel shit

Her blink had potential, being able to grab items and people/bodies is really cool. Though physics are shit and often you'd grab an unconscious person and throw them to their deaths then reload. It's fun using it for momentum/speed. I just wish it was more consistent.

He is seriously so fucking good. His style even on his non-video game related art is really great. If I knew anything about art or art terminology I could at least figure out what makes it so pleasing for me.

I solved the riddle and killed them both before entering the mansion.

loved the ambience and art direction. i like to replay it from time to time just to go around taking pictures of the city and locations. overall it feels like the art direction husked the budget of everything else though as it has some shit writing, dumbed down gameplay and story. its obvious that they wanted to make a game that women would like but they ended up just making a benchmark model to showcase the artistic skills of their modelers, designers and little else.

except for the clockwork mansion and stilton's mansion. those levels were perfect.
