Fuck off
Yeah I didn't get that shit until I was questing in Duskwood in vanilla Vanilla
long laps over the hills, no livers...
and then you look at the recipe requirements and want to kick Salma in the hoo-ha
Literally designed that way so you kill more and get more exp so you can level up more for the other quests which is fine.
Where it fails is when you STILL need to head to Loch Modan to get barely enough exp to level up to be able to do some of the later Westfall quests then head back to Loch Modan again to complete those quests then back to Westfall and that's not to mention the shitshow that is Redridge.
boars are heavy drinkers
Man playing wow as a babby zoomer was a magical experience. I fond memories of my dwarf hunter learning cooking recipes from a similar quest in that dwarven area with the large damn.
Its a pity to see how hated WoW has become when it was such a great experience before.
Then at least drop me some pickled liver trash items or something
WoW started doing that in Cataclysm. I remember an Azshara quest where you had to get a pendant, and you kept looting broken ones that had flavortext saying they were destroyed during the battle until you got the one you needed.
>loot a green
>you can use it
I spent hours and hours on my first character (dwarf paladin) just running through Dun Morogh (dwarf starting area) collecting all the copper so I could make stuff at the great forge in Ironforge. Shit felt so cool. Main reason I left that area and moved on was so that I could find new metal to make stuff out of.
Ah, yes. The level 45-50 quest drought. I remember that. Juggling like 4 different zones across both continents. It was charming in the way it encouraged exploring, but it was certainly a slog, as well, unless you had a bunch of people to repeat the same handful of level appropriate dungeons over and over.
>grinding the braindead combat for hours for basically no reason is fine
It fucking isn't, I'm happy these games are dying.
turtle bisque.........
There isn't a single good quest in vanilla WoW.
You think that's hard? Try finding a raptor that drop the stolen silver.
Stop hitting the pigs in their livers, dumbass. Just hit their heads.
I take that back, the rhok'delar quests are the only good ones.
Fucking jesus, right in my nostalgia.
If I played a modern game with these quests, I'd probably complain too.
But when you're younger, you just don't notice these things. You just play, and it was fucking great.
>The entirety of your next week happens in The Barrens

asssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
>Yea Forums got filtered before level 20
I figured as much
i have never ever completed green hills or shredder operating manual
the amount of money they cost me in inventory space is fucking insane
don't you want armor kits user
don't you want superior healing potions user
WELL user
The stolen silver is looted from an object on the ground based mongoloid
>can't relate to WoW nostalgia due to being 18 at launch and having already experienced Ultima Online and FFXI
Maybe you'll be like me one day bros, looking on in disgust while zoomies discuss how great playing XIV and ESO was when they were kids.
Good quest to farm up some EXP with a goal in mind. I don't see the problem
>he plays alliance
The current state of this game is so sad.
>jungle remedy
Damn user, you got me with that one. Plus it was so easy to pull a quarter of the camp if you stood in the wrong spot when the enemies ran.
Why was this the absolute most comfy early game leveling area? holy shit bros it was great. I don't count elwynn since that's the literal intro
by the way I mean pre-cata. The image is just first thing that showed up
Dwarf starting area for me.
>Posts the Cataclysm version of the zone
Get your hands off my zone you disgusting shitter.
This zone was great; it had a great mood to of of underlying wrongness. Everything is falling apart and you're just starting to scratch the surface of it, before continuing on into the next zone.
The only shitty part of it, and this is a HUGE issue, is that you start in the middle of the zone and end up going ALL the way south to complete the quests just for them to send you ALL the way north for the next part. It was in dire need of either two towns, one in the north and one in the south, or just a flight path to connect the two ends of the zone.
just kill the raptor with the backpack
I played a nelf warrior on classic a year back and found that zone to be one of the hardest in all of wow. Maybe it's due to the warr class, but the quests were sparse and spread out with dangerous mobs everywhere.
kino, sell them on the AH for autismo to buy for an inflated price.
Boar liver is fucking huge are you insane
Something has to be said for how Green Hills destroys any kind of immersion the game might be having for you at that point, when it becomes clear that these quest items are BOUGHT AND SOLD on the auction house, where you will go and see dozens of copies of each page of a supposedly handwritten journal
>Enter Westfall
>Your bags immediately fill up with junk items you need for quests
Westfall really sucks.
Yes
>C'tun forshadowing
HAS ANYONE SEEN THE DEFIAS MESSENGER
same
I just saw him entering the mine

it was a shitshow
they weren't too bad 1v1 even if it left you at fuck all HP. Lord help you if you aggro'd 2
>Old God worshippers running rampant throughout the zone
>Culminates in a dungeon delve into Blackfathom Depths to combat the Twilight's Hammer
>Further on, you realize that there's another threat facing the continent in the form of a rampaging bug people cropping up all over the place
>It's not until the end that you figure out how these two connect
Old WoW had so much thought put into the quest design and how it spans the entire leveling experience. It really makes me sad to see what happened in Cata, with every zone becoming self-contained and full of pop-culture references.
I used to get a kick out of going into other MMOs and pretending that I went so far south on the gold road that I ended up in another MMO and asking how I find Mankrik's wife.
Its counter intuitive, the problem is the mobs are spread out all over the zone so you think its going to be one of those quests you complete as you do other quests. ie you fight bandits in area A then fight boars on the way back to quest hub, get next bandit quest then fight boars on the way to zone B for next part of bandit quest. but by the time you complete the boar quest doing that method its already greyed out so you actually need to find one of the grinding spots out in the world and grind for it in order to keep it relevant.
The only people who wont notice that are the guys who actually focus on one quest at a time instead of trying to be as efficient as possible and doing multiple at once.
>hoo ha
Dont self censor. We call it a vagina.
>you're minding your own business when this asshole sneaks up behind you
what do you do Yea Forums?
>"collect 8 centaur hooves"
>kill 79 centaurs
>only have 3
suck his dick
>3/4 stacks of Melt Ore on everyone
>tiny harvesters beating the healer to death
>bringing one slightly underleveled person who aggros the entire fucking boat
good times
my personal best memory is the time a friend and two of their friends(who slightly outleveled the dungeon) did a run of Blackfathom together
entering the dungeon via that swim tunnel was so novel to me
also even as the shittiest Rogue I liked sapping and gouging
then my friend lit all four braziers at once and we got slaughtered
feign death of course
but it gets resisted
>Recognizing it
send my pet to tank it while running the other way
based and Légolàsz pilled
Thank god, running around with Track Beasts on while spamming in General chat if people have seen them makes it annoying to farm the leather.
yeah i'd like to think someone would try something before they decide whether or not they like it or not. dumbass
before i realize i'm in combat with it, i'm killed by the devilsaur mafia for daring to be within viewing distance of it.
