I booted up my PS4 after not using it for like 2 years. It didn't even cross my mind that it wasn't the newest gen.

ps3 ended up as good as the 360. ps4 won the gen because there was quite literally no competition. ps5 is a decent console, i haven't had any issues with mine in like 9 months of daily use. it is gigantic and ugly as hell, and definitely has a lack of exclusives issue.

Because I can't find one even almost two years after the launch. This whole gen was a complete disaster of a release.

if you follow a twitter notification account you can get one in like a week or two. it flatout is not as hard to get at msrp as people think it is. people just don't try. stock is often up for 30 minutes to an hour.

Things like censorship and forcing english are petty, but can at least be of minor use in letting the california hq run more smoothly by a negligible amount and offloading the headache caused by the decision onto other people. Most Japanese developers struggled to make the switch to HD. As a result, system sellers of the PS3 were western, with very few exceptions. This didn't really matter in the PS4 days because Microsoft and Nintendo dropped the ball hard, but when the time to release their new system came near and their competitors had gotten their shit together, the American division used their success with the PS3 to essentially take over SIE.

1) Sony has all but abandoned every audience that had helped them reach where they are today
