Elden Ring gave me back the feeling I had as a child, when I played Ocarina of Time for the first time.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance gave me real Oblivion adventure vibes

Triangle Strategy

DMC 5 and replaying Max Payne 1

Ducktales Remastered

Same.

C&C1

streets of rage 4 maybe and thats kinda it. otherwise this doesn't happen. and even then sor4's gameplay isn't even like the originals.

Dragon's Dogma

I am old, but Metroid Prime

Playing Earthbound for the first time as an adult

Shit dude, me too. Riding around in Limgrave felt like Hyrule field.

Pokemon heart gold

Unironically elden ring felt like playing ds1 for the first time all over again, the second the actual scale of the game got into my head after spending 20 hours in limgrave alone, I felt so fucking happy

Unironically zelda games

BotW

Hollow Knight

Hope the 2nd game can at least make me feel just a bit of what BOTW did.

Skyrim. Skyrim came out when I was 11 and I played the shit out of it and still go back to it when I find myself in a dark place. It's like a comfort food—just walk around Skyrim doing meaningless little quests and exploring the wilderness

But it did

Nothing.
Even revisiting old games from my childhood ends with frustration and disappointment.

BotW and Rain World reminded me of when my imagination used to make games seem bigger than they actually were

Xenoblade 1

Ffvii remake, chapter 8 and 9 in its entirety

starcraft remastered

UMS games had a resurgence for a month or two and it was like going back in time 20 years. even the occasional lag was the same

first time playing skyrim. nothing comes close

I haven’t felt this since Super Mario Galaxy

valheim

Elden Ring, Ys VIII & IX, Breath of the Wild, Tropical Freeze, Streets of Rage 4, Doom Eternal

overrated as hell movie. Tepid, dry and didactic, lacking compelling characters with chemistry or a story with a clear objective

Same. Similar feeling from Dark Souls 1, Bloodborne and Sekiro. Made me feel like a kid again. Inb4 fromdrone.

NEO TWEWY

It’s the first game in a while that I really enjoy

we know 3rd world snoys didnt have childhoods

fromdrone

why?
It's such a boring game that feels the same in every level.
The art style is ugly as sin too.

It's kind of lame single player but the different builds synergize really well in co-op and I love the tension in the higher levels. Plus the music is great

halo 2 anniversary
