i play fightan games with the stick and 2d platformers with the d-pad and I haven't had any input trouble OP claims

I've had an Xbone Controller (and I still do but I need to repair it), a PS4, a Series X controller I bought and sold to buy the Dualsense and I can give a good review

the Xbone controller is solid but you might want to remove the soft rubber things on the triggers so they dont get stuck. Repair it when the dpad starts getting stuck too
The DS4 controller is solid but has low battery life and I dont enjoy the placement
the series X controller Dpad is AWFUL but everything else feels great
the Dualsense feels great and all the buttons feel amazing BUT the Dpad. I also like the controller's special features

I wish I could buy a fighting game stick and be done with it but these are way too expensive where I live

Aren't the ps4 versions better than the native ps5 ones? I've heard ps5 Strive and KoF for instance have more input delay on their ps5 versions compared to just playing the ps4 version on a ps5.

The d-pad is way better than literally any other main AAA controller for fighting games but at the end of the day it's still a basic pad.

There's a few PS5 sticks coming out soon like the Hori Alpha (PS5 version), MadCatz TE3, and Qanba Q8(?).

I hope Razer makes a third stick cause I really like the Panthera

I dropped pad cause my thumb would feel pretty raw after playing for a while. You probably just have to get used to it

the face buttons are prone to not registering inputs if you push them from certain angles and eventually may start to double press as well

i hate it. they tried to copy the outline of the xbox controller and it just looks way less comfy in my hand than any other dualshock

As far as general use goes, the Series X controller is the best controller you can get for PC. It's solid all around, with the added perk of having the best D-Pad on the market. It has usurped the 360 pad of its role, and it sets the new standard by which all other controllers will be judged going forward.

HOWEVER, despite its faults, the DS4 is still a solid controller, and the back-paddle attachment, Gyro, and touchpad make it more versatile than the SeX controller. Any serious gamer would consider owning both.
