Will it save Rise?
Will it save Rise?
No, but it'll preoccupy my time for a few hours.
Only if they bring back Prowlers
Rise doesn't need saving, but this will most likely make it amazing like every G-rank update.
Yes. But in my opinion rise was great and got good 300 hours fun from it. I enjoy almost every single monhun I've played and I love the series
it'll give me and my friends at least a hundred hours of entertainment, I don't understand what you want it to "save" but if it's your parents marriage then I've got bad news
Nothing can save MH from itchy nose, even him leaving
It really just needs better endgame quests and some mechanical tune ups, if they fix the input lag and general clunkiness of some weapons and do a good job with the weapon balance patch it'll be great
rise can't be saved because they will never port the sos system of world
I don't think Rise needs to be saved. It's a shorter but fun experience
The people who were not particularly interested in Rise won't change their mind, since what they want is MH6, not more Rise
It doesn't need saving but I question the point of making a $40 expansion for a casual pick up and play game that's already lost most of its players. How many people are actually going to be interested in this? With World it made sense because that game had longevity.
Based MH lover. No matter where the series goes I will follow it. It's still the only game I own on Wii and WiiU.
They have lower expectations to begn with, so it's not a problem
In the leaked plans in 2020, they were expecting 10m copies for Rise and 4m for the expansion
I can only imagine the expansion to be a complete ripoff then, it probably had basically no budget and no resources assigned to it while all hands are on deck for MH6. Just a cash grab for suckers.
>With World it made sense because that game had longevity.
World had less content than Rise, are you fucking retarded?
Rise had glaring issues content wise but I had my fill of fun from it. Hopefully sunbreak adds a nice chunk of content and maybe rely a bit less on wirebugs.
>I can only imagine the expansion to be a complete ripoff then, it probably had basically no budget and no resources assigned to it while all hands are on deck for MH6. Just a cash grab for suckers.
All of those things were true for MHXX as well, so that's the most likely outcome, yes.
World had fewer monsters but better post launch support (read: it existed) and more endgame grinds that kept people playing.
>and maybe rely a bit less on wirebugs
Wirebugs are the main gimmick of the game, they're going to focus more on them not less
Silkbind spam is working as intended, they stated in interviews that they wanted the silkbinds to be a main part of your weapon moveset and a focus during hunts
why is this shit taking so long? I put off buying Rise until G-rank comes out and it's actually complete but I have to wait over a year now? Capcom needs to get their thumbs out of their asses.
First G rank version?
So it seems like they do selectively listen, but from what they shown so far they've also doubled down on wirebugs and wyvern riding.
I'm still massively hoping they've cut Rampages, easily the worst part of this game.
They do listen but they can't exactly go and discard the main thing distinguishing Rise from other MHs, even if it makes it worse. They're their big marketing gimmicks.
lol
lmao even
There is nothing wrong with rampages and I'm almost convinced most of the people who seethe hard about them have absolutely no idea how to play them
retard
True, unfortunately. Then perhaps I can hope that they at least balance silkbind moves better, and give you the option to not be forced to use wyvern riding when attacking, instead make it so you have to sheath your weapon and press the interact/pickup button to actually initiate the shitty wyvern riding.
the wyvern riding takes like 5 seconds unless despite hating it so very much you still need to optimize it completely because you're autistic
bing bing wahoo
>almost
Which did you not enjoy?
>All of those things were true for MHXX as well, so that's the most likely outcome, yes.
This. The trailers even indicate a similar situation. We are like 2 months away from release, and we only got one trailer, 6 monsters confirmed total.
They even skipped April with any big info drop.
>no argument
>World had fewer monsters but better post launch support (read: it existed) and more endgame grinds that kept people playing.
So are we pretending drip feeding content and artificial grind is good now?
wahoo yuppie
Not him, but I miss when nips beta tested high rank versions and we got the full release
Rise added more things in 2 months of Title Updates than World in a year
They're boring user, I play monster hunter to hunt monsters not to pop Bloons in 3d
>expansion announced six months after launch
Rise is fucking rushed trash
There is nothing to save, Rise was pretty good. I got like 80-90 hours in it. Put it on the back burner when Elden Ring was getting closer to launch so I went and replayed some Souls games for it.
People really overblow Wyvern Riding when it's literally just a faster and better version of mounting/clutch claw/ wall banging
They just need to make it so you're not forced to do it or have to wait 10 seconds
yeah thats why it has less players than even mhw a 4 year old game
so fucking fun so much content
user, I don't care how long it takes, it's overly intrusive, forces you into a shitty riding animation which the quickest way out is to wallbang, which then forces you into another animation you can't get out of that throws you 20 miles away from the monster itself. It removes choice, so it's a shit mechanic, and deserves no praise.
The main problem is that they completely ruined monster interations and AI to force Wyvern Riding, rather than riding itself
Three months of actual fun are better than 4 years of forced boredom
I forgot Rise even released on PC
>Rise added more things in 2 months of Title Updates than World in a year
Rise's first title update shouldn't even count, it was just the final quest tier cut out and delayed for a month to artificially extend the duration of the midgame tier
>I miss when nips beta tested high rank versions and we got the full release
Only happened once, retard
No, because it'll be Rise 2. It won't have post game content neither will have meaningful updates. People expecting the same amount of content and support MHWorld had with Iceborne are deluding themselves.
sounds like cope from tendie but its pretty much expected
You know what was actually boring? Jhen Mohran, Shen Gaoran, Magdaros, most other sieges I can think of
Rampages are a complete upgrade over most of those, while being nearly completely optional
>it removes player choice
Ugh I hate how when my sharpness meter goes down the game forces me to sharpen, why can't I just like not?
I'll buy Rise for $10. That's how much a shitty Switch port is worth.
They were both cut content.
You couldn't literally get the 100% guild award until the 2nd update.
jesus christ you people are beyond saving
What are you talking about. When you hop off a wallbang after a ride you land right next to the monster. You can flip in any direction and your wirebugs are restored to wirepull in any direction. Did you even play or watch a video of Rise? Iceborne launched you away after a wallbang.
>I don't care how long it takes
>I will now proceed to dedicate most of my post to describing how long I think it takes
You can not attack the monster, plant some bombs and sharpen in the time it gives you, plenty of choice there
No amount of mental gymnastics or cope will change the hard truth
Rise just isn't as fun to play as World
>expecting the same amount of content and support MHWorld had with Iceborne
According to leaks it'll add 20-30 new monsters total, which would indeed be a fair bit below Iceborne (which launched with 27 and ended with 35). I'm not expecting much in terms of added monsters beyond Rise subspecies and the Three Lords + new final boss. We'll probably get Apex Tigrex/Narga/Astalos as well, but that's about it.
Remember that G rank titles usually don't have insanely loaded returning monster lineups like Iceborne did. XX's returning monster lineup was garbage.
>Basarios, Diablos, Gravios, Fatalis trio, Lao, Congalala, Giadrome, Barioth, Barroth, Nerscylla
Astalos is probably the biggest returning monster surprise we're gonna get.
Rampages are a mode that you do like 5 times, then you understand how they work and realize that they have no variety, and you do the same exact actions every single time.
On top of that, losing a Rampage is almost impossible, and they last way too fucking long.
They are 20mins slog with no variety, no challenge and barely any unique reward.
The point of something like Jhen or Shen Gaoren is that they were just a fight. Meanwhile Rampage is a whole mode which they focused a good part of the pre-release marketing on.
The difference is that the true final boss and the ostensible HR100 postgame boss with the best armor in the game are defensible as title updates. Cutting out the entire final quest tier just looks desperate.
>game that cost 10$, has G-Rank and 4 years worth of mods has slightly more players
You really got me there, pal
>they are a 20min slog with no variety, no challenge and barely any unique reward but I'll keep doing them to the point where old sieges somehow seem more appealing
Why does Elden Ring have more players than Dark Souls 3 then? It's cheapter, has 2 expansions and mods.
Dumb Risefag.
Truth. World is still my fave but it doesn't detract the fun I've had in all the other games.
that fag is disingenuous you have to farm those shitty rampage because rampages gear is bis for most weapon trees
Only if they change the sound effects for when you hit a monster because it feels like complete shit
Being honest with you I don't feel like playing rise again.
