The whole sequel is tacked on. The studio really did not want to make one to begin with. Citing the sheer amount of pain in the ass dealing with the Cryteck engine being something they don't want to go through again, but porting to a different engine would mean most of the work gone.

They eventually caved in and agreed to being bought out by Koch for an insane price. Vávra now seems to have no passion or interest in the game, he is rolling in money and shitposting on Twitter, while Victor Bočan is working on a completely private, stand-alone project of his own (automatica). Neither of the two main creative leads seem ot have any real passion for this anymore.

No. It's a direct sequel, the next game will be taking place in the events that are hinted at in the first game: The Hussite Uprising, which was always the fucking plan.
The OG plan for KC:D was literally nicknamed "Project Hussite Trilogy". As it was meant to take place over three entries spread across that particular historical movement: First game exploring the background and historical context that lead to Hus and his influence, the second over the initiation of the movement, and the third over it's late stage.

It's not clear where exactly is the game going to take place (My bet is on Kutná Hora), and if Hendry is going to be the protagonist, or maybe the father or relative to a new protagonist, but it sure as fuck is going to be back to late Gothic for KC:D2.

Historically, yes. We have no evidence suggesting that Divish was actually infertile.
The authors of the game took some liberties with the character. But they are well thought out liberties, that make for an interesting character dillema that is fitting for the social context of it's time. While it may have not been the case of Divish himself, there is no doubt that people of his status have faced this kind of problem in that era, and some of them likely arriving at the same conclusion as he is implicated to have here.

Went into this blind and was impressed with the writing and voice acting. I was so immersed trudging back to Skalitz in the rain. I know this gets thrown around a lot but it was basically an interactive film or show to me.

It's an extremely flawed and janky game, to be honest. Borderline broken, and very obviously unfinished.
But it has charm like very few other games have. It takes a TON of risks and has a lot of interesting ambitions. Not everything works. In fact a LOT does not work as intended in this game.
But the writing is good, the settings is fascinating due to how well it is realized, and there is a ton of mechanics that keep you feel involved and invested in the game. You can tell they really tried, and they really did not want to do things in a boring or clichéd way.

I'd say it's somewhat comparable to games like VTM:B - with the difference being there is unfortunately no "unofficial patch" like VTM:B has. You really have to be OK with messy game to enjoy it - but if you do, it has a lot to offer.

This is what killed the game for me. I liked Witcher 3 for this. They actually made the towns and villages feel like actual pleases where people live. Seeing a bunch of adults going about their lives and no kids ruined the immersion for me. I know they could not have made the story as it was with kids but still, get off. Maybe they could just have the kids disappear or just never shown them getting harmed.

The funnies part of this text is that it's not TECHNICALLY wrong. But what it hints on both extremely unlikely, and would appear jarring even though technically possible, but more importantly, the story it hints on is just INCREDIBLY CRUEL AND DEPRESSING. The actual implication of the scenario suggested here:
An actual race-mixed out-of-wedlock child story would not end well. It would be a brutal and insanely sad tale. I would not want to see that shit.

With that said, the game does actually lack racial diversity. Jews and gypsies are genuinely missing from the game, the should be present in the environment.

No. I would like Henry to be in the game as a mentor figure, but not the player character. Half the fun in the first game for me was starting at the bottom and working my way up to pseudo-knighthood.
I want to play as a illiterate peasant that ends up being able to become a fully-fledged Imperial Knight in the service of the Holy Roman Emperor. Ideally with my own land that I can build a village and fortified manor on.

KC:D 2 has not even been announced yet and it is already my most anticipated game.
