It was a great game imo. I think part of it has to do with it being one of the first ps5 exclusives so it was really hard to get at the time and now new pay owners have more games to choose from so there is even less of a chance of people choosing a launch title

Miles fucking sucked in the first one. He was awful. MJ was awful. The only decent character was Peter.
Why the fuck would I want to play a game as this terrible version of Miles, especially when Into the Spiderverse showed everyone how to make him a compelling character?

That's part of the problem right there, it isn't a PS5 exclusive. It's on PS4. But nobody even knows that, that's how bad they fucked up.

Isn't this an old article? Miles morales sells whenever there are new shipments of ps5s. You can see it come back to sales charts every now and again so I guess people are willing to wait for ps5s.

Pretty much this for me, I had just spiderman and the ps5 had been out for 6 months, I didn't really feel like more spiderman at the time, even though I really enjoyed the original.
I'm happy to wait for 2.

I don't think Miles is gay, but also there are plenty of SM games where you play as Eddie Brock and Miguel O'Hara.

It couldn't deceive players into thinking they got the second coming of spiderman 2 like the first game did. Players endured the Mary Jane sections, and the shoehorned Miles Morales sections didn't help. Players were more or less "tricked" into playing the first game. They saw how the only fleshed out part of the game was the opening mission. Everything the company had to work with essentially died with the first game.

The reason the propaganda is specifically BMWF instead of the other way around is because it's the woman who is going to be stuck with the child when the pairing falls apart and the goal is to get mixed blood into the higher social ranks and the middle class in particular. So you want the woman to be white (ie. higher social standing) so that the baby ends up there. There's no point creating mixed blood kids if they just die in the ghetto with all the other darkies.
