Literally every single PS5 produced is not just selling, but selling at nearly double MSRP. The only (ONLY) reason Xbox is gaining any marketshare at all is because there is such a massive shortage that despite every PS5 console being sold within minutes of being stocked, there are literally just not enough produced. Sony already said there would be shortages throughout the year and adjusted their forecasts down accordingly.

Sony didn't "rush" anything, the world was ready for a new generation and they sold 20 million units despite the chip shortage. The chip shortage isn't a short term issue, it'll drag on for another 2 years. They can't do much about Microsoft essentially paying to have people own xbox by buying production priority.
