I know it's a gacha and most assuredly going to be shit, but for those starved for more Mana/Seiken Densetsu content, I figured I'd make a thread for people to be aware it just dropped and to talk about it.
Whose your party going to be made up of? I'm going Pipes Sierra for some Legend of Mana love.

Square Enix does NOT have enough goodwill nor roster volume to sustain a Seiken Densetsu gacha. Maybe make a few more fucking console games before cashing in dumbasses. If not even the Star ocean franchise could sustain a gacha, the mana series gacha absolutely will fail even before a year.

I've just loved the mana series since Final Fantasy Adventure and Secret of Mana and the idea of mixing the heroes up is fun.
This is very true, unfortunately. Especially with going out of their way to scorn PC players with the Epic exclusive shit. I just want to talk Mana.
The battles are similar to Trials with the big warning red marks on the ground telling your ass to move, but I can't tell you as I'm still in the intro. I wasn't sure how many people would give it a chance.
Does it have controller support like the mobile version of Adventures of Mana does?

Escad did everything wrong. Daena's only wish was to try and stop the fighting and to help her big sister. The other 3 were enormous fuckheads that couldn't stop being retarded. Irwin for his power, Escad for his revenge and honor (He's the one that attacked Daena, twice, instead of trying to work together), and Matilda for being the literal biggest fuckup and terrible friend in the entire series.
By the end of the path, Daena understands how pointless it is to try and get him to give back her energy and just lays him out, which could have been with Escad if he wasn't such a meathead.

All gacha RPGs are terrible. It doesn't matter if they're action RPGs or straight up PNG collections. In a genre about customizing your stats and party, tying that to a literal gamble ensures the entire experience is fucked. The game is either too easy to compensate for people not always having the best units, or based entirely around the best units to wall people into rolling the gacha. And with the live service model you're guaranteed to power creep your way further and further toward the latter.
I'm not the one talking about Sindoll you fucking illiterate.

He had no reason whatsoever to trust Daena and from his point of view, doing so would be practically asking to be back-stabbed and set to the shadow realm again. Matilda could of defused all of it if she just told the two of them to calm the fuck down work together but his caution and want to get rid of Irwin was justified regardless of who you choose because he fucking summons the world ending dragon anyway.
They could probably pump up the roster by adding notable NPCs into the playable category. But that might actually be sort of cool so I doubt it.
It's pretty convenient that you left out the fact that Genshin gatekeeps a lot of its "difficult content" by essentially forcing you to use specific types of characters. The horrible gacha rates are just the cherry on top. Don't defend Genshin, it just makes you look like an addicted idiot praising a greed chink company for being "oh so generous" for literally nothing. Nobody praises shitty dlc practices by saying "Oh, well, uh, you can just not buy it though"

I had forgotten about whole being sent to Mavolia bit, so his ire against Irwin is justified. For some reason I only think of the bit when they're children and he "fails" to protect Matilda. He's definitely right to cut down the faeries and other familiars of Irwin, though.
Still, at least we can agree that Matilda is the fucking worst.
I wasn't even aware there was a trailer, thanks. I wish they had shown some animation, but at least the characters look vibrant and true to their source; not to mention covering the more story-heavy arc of the game.

Play through tutorial, go to title screen, press the button on the bottom right and delete user data. You can now skip the tutorial and just do your rolls.
Alright, I've played a bit into it. The game starts up with you and Hawk in prison and you end up fighting Zable Fahr as a turotial as Sacrifice Part 3 plays. Then after a bunch of exposition with the Mana Goddess, she gives you a sheep.
Gameplay is kind of like a Golden Axe style game, or a 2D Trials of Mana where you need to dodge shit all the time while building up specials.
It has the usual fare for missions in gachas like not dying for extra rewards and such. I did two x10 rolls which you can do after the first mission, ended up getting Durag and Pipes from Legend of Mana, Randi, Purim 2x and Popoi 2x from Secret of Mana and Sumo the protag from Adventures 2x.
0 Trials characters, but getting every main character from 1 through Legend besides Trial seems pretty generous, or I'm just lucky. As I said, I only did the first battle mission, so I have no idea how generous it is with currency.
The hub is in a town that's similar to Domina from LoM and the item system seems confusing as fuck, with cards you equip that are moments from the game and coins that you can trade for Dryad and Lumina coins or some such.
It actually doesn't seem like too bad of a game outside the clusterfuck that is the items and menus, because I was having a hard time figuring out what was going on. At least I got Pipes.
