Holy shit I can remember playing this game nearly every day for about an hour before school around 2003-2004. I loved the servers that saved your XP progress so you could join in as a ubersoldat right at the start.

reminder that you can play ET legacy through steam if you install legacy, rename etl.exe to et.exe and move everything in the ETL folder to the ET folder and overwrite the original files.
Should just launch legacy directly through steam with overlay and everything if you did it right

It was tons of fun ... until those cocksucking clanfags with their modding tools started shitting up every server with XPsave, causing the game to be dominated by tryhard losers that had unlocked everything that was supposed to be EARNED through normal gameplay, causing the balance of the game to go down the shitter. XPsave fucking killed ET.

ET legacy, ideally you can just download et from steam and delete everything in it and drag all of your et legacy folder into that steam folder and renaming ETL.exe to just ET.exe should work, including steam overlay. i fapped to this ova two hours ago... i never get tired of seeing it every once in a while

I heard ID created some vanilla servers recently so you probably don't even need Legacy to play on them.
