Why would anyone buy a handheld if they don't want to play in handheld? Aside from the comfy form factor the main appeal of the Switch is that everything just works and is convenient. Most of the games I play are already on PC anyways, so the idea of selling it so that I can play pokemon on my PC just seems weird and out of touch.

when there's a storm and power goes out I usually play dhit like slay the spire or whatever csn work properly with underclocked gpu/cpu/ram. Battery lasts like 6 hours lmao. And then I use a battery pack to recharge the console while I keep playing.

It's all about having a decent CPU and in the specific case of the switch an nvidia card.
The nvidia card doesn't even have to be good it just has to be nvidia because that's what the switch games play well with.
I have no idea why this is the case but I'm sure you can find the reasons on their discord or other emulator threads here on Yea Forums

Unless you have a graphics card from 15 years ago, in Switch emulation the bottleneck is always the CPU. As for what CPU you may need, as long as you have an i5 Coffee Lake or R5 Zen 2 or better, you should be fine.
But it depends on the game, Metroid Dread runs at full speed on decade-old CPUs for example.

What, no you don't. As long as the emulator doesn't use OpenGL and only OpenGL, AMD cards are fine. Yuzu uses Vulkan.

Vulkan is a standard graphics API and it works with any GPU that supports it.

Both the Demon King's castle and the approach to the throne run like dog shit, and if you use Yuzu there's tons of graphical glitches in the way of broken lighting effects and reflection, as well as several FX that just don't trigger at random, and speaking of random, it randomly crashes.
And that's NOW. Back at release you weren't getting solid performance in most parts of the open world, regardless of your PC specs.

If anyone else is wondering, SMT5 runs alright, but it's pretty resource intensive, and there's one long dungeon and one short dungeon that run like ass, plus a couple open world areas where you may chug a bit. Battles are fine. Use Ryujinx, as Yuzu has a bunch of bugs.
