Even if you're talking about the 40k navigators, they don't work the same way. They don't see the future, they see the beacon on Terra that allows them to navigate the Warp, something that has no equivalent in the Dune universe

there was literally no build up. everything happened randomly, half the cast is new and the ones that aren't are shoved off planet or killed. I'm now reading the 3rd book and it's just getting worse and worse.
