I enjoy playing video games.
There are a lot of games that would be better if they just took out all the "game" parts and just made them into walking simulators. For example, Omori.
MOOOODS
vidya romances are a crutch for dogshit writing since waifufags will swallow anything for them
Bluepoint have never made a bad remake and they get far, far too much hate on here. I’d be genuinely thrilled if they got to handle a Bloodborne remaster for PC/new consoles.
I like Overwatch, and I'm now going to play Overwatch 2.
>Bluepoint have never made a bad remake and they get far, far too much hate on here.
Fucking up the artstyles is a huge deal. If you didn't play the originals it's fine, whatever, but anyone who played the originals and then the remakes are justified in hating the garbage artstyle.
There is nothing enjoyable whatsoever about Final Fantasy's gameplay
Games that don't have a checkpoint system that rely on quick-saves literally cannot be good because of how damaging it is.
I hate that shit so much.
>LOOK WE AMPED UP THE BRIGHTNESS, YOU NEED TO SEE ALL THE TEXTURES WE MADE, YOU NEED TO SEE EVERY SINGLE BRICK IN THIS DARK TUNNEL
like fuck off.
>/qa/ lost
A PC is a bad investment for the average vidyafag.
Raising the Bar Redux seams pretty kewl
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with cheating and hacking in multiplayer games because if the developers really gave a shit, they would of installed either better preventions or have some kind of ‘anti-cheat’ activation that detects hacking. Not the hackers fault developers and programmers are incompetent.
>Fucking up the artstyles is a huge deal.
You mean brown ‘n’ bloom? The DeS remake is objectively superior.
>redditjak
Go back
The Souls games are all the same game
it's true.
>spent 1.5k on a setup about 5-6 years ago
>already struggling with new games
"i like video games"
opinion like this would likely get me banned from this website now
You're objectively a shit eating retard.
>Your Honor, it was perfectly legal to rob that store, because their locks were bad
Crutches for new players is good design
He probably means the designs of a bunch of enemies and the designs of a few areas. Like the castle area looks like a completely different piece of architecture and the fat slaver guys are different too
Unironically this.
The store should've done their research and not invested in shitty locks
>”Good point. They really should upgrade their locks. I mean look at it. The doors are just twisted together with bread ties. I’m just surprised it took this long for someone to rob them”
Got here late, what was this before it got deleted?
good luck winning that case, Jamal
was a liveleak webm of an elephant eating a baby. like just popped the whole thing in its mouth. pretty fucked up.
>white racist store owners
>black innocent troubled youth
Not that user but Jamal doesn’t even need luck
rouge like as a genre are pretty much always shit. the entire premise of just repeating the same shit over and over again but with different level layouts is shit. its a cop out from bad designers that managed to figure out the mechanics of their game but not the world and levels so they resort to procedural generation to take up the slack. i can count on one finger the amount of rogue like i enjoyed and that was a mobile game, so the mindless repetition lends itself somewhat to that
A game that has both a non-customizeable/non-ambiguous protagonist and choise-based narrative is usually, if not always, bad design.
Classic Fallout devs are slightly retarded because thet kept making games all the way up to New Vegas that were all about freedom, but kept taking a shit on your choises by establishing canon timelines and canon protagonists.
Prequels make for bad sandbox/"perpetual" experience because the adventurous uncertainty of the world you're in does not exist.
If a game's historically highest discount is below at least 60% - the dev is a pretentious faggot.
there are no good locks. you can pick virtually every lock with less than $10 worth of tools if youre feeling fancy and a couple hours of research and practice.
this is just common sense
Unions keeping videogame corporations accountable would be a net positive for gamers.
Sorry, but any modern union made today will be cucked and will never make corporations accountable. I especially have no faith in any of the modern left to do any good. At most those unions will be like "give us higher pay" which no company will give a shit about, or some LGBT bullshit that corporations already do nowadays.
Gamer-developer collaborationism is hard to achieve by design, a culture war was pushed. The interests of the gamer and game developer are more aligned. You’re thinking of game journalists, who are not the same as the people who actually make vidya.
kys kid
There should unironically be no chat moderation in multiplayer vidya beyond literal illegal shit like posting CP. It's an online space and you have a mute option, any misery you suffer from someone else's verbal abuse is self-inflicted. Ingame guilds/statics/etc will do a fine enough job policing their social enviroment on their own, just like real life Free Speech laws.
The games on the consoles you would have bought then are also struggling though.
>kid
I’m clearly older than you if you don’t see a problem with the brown ‘n’ bloom plague of the late 00’s. Doubt you were even alive to be honest.
I believe diversity and different viewpoints in developing and programming can actually make games good as long as it’s not trying to push agendas
RPGs are the worst genre in videogames.
They are "games", but put excel spreadsheet-managing ahead of gameplay, and usually have terrible and clunky combat systems, like how New Vegas has the worst gunplay ever.
>all pvp is fomo
>The interests of the gamer and game developer are more aligned.
lol, not really. Just like you said, a culture war has been pushed, and I went to several game developer talks, and all the shit they focused on were "more diversity, less work hours, more paid roles, more HR to handle angry gamers" as the sole problems of the industry. None of them said anything about shit game design or predatory microtransactions.
Nintendo is saviour of gaming
>doesn't entertain pointless gimmicks like 4k or VR
>keeps on making enjoyable kino games
And most importantly
>constantly shuts down the pedo cesspool that smash melee
how many games have you made
>diversity and different viewpoints in developing and programming can actually make games good
>as long as it’s not trying to push agendas
LOL
Maybe I'm just not a "true fan" but I NEVER notice the "garbage artstyles" until they're pointed out here. Played all the originals and have fond memories of them. Sucks to be you.
ps1, n64 and saturn games are all unplayable garbage now
it's okay to say you're visually impaired. sucks to be you!
Many MMOs treat leveling as just going through the motions rather than an integral part of the game. Replaying Vanilla WoW and OSRS have been great compared to modern MMOs like nuWoW and FFXIV.
I don't like God of War
RTS is the greatest genre of all time
>But they SJWs look at the GDC
What, in like 2019?
Breath of the wild has a lot of extremely glaring design flaws that make me angry when I write them out on a list but when I actually play it it feels relaxing
player versus player games in general are exhausting and unfun entirely because of their playerbase's attitudes, especially fighting games
PVP games always end up getting dominated by the most tryhard showerless misanthropes who can only have fun if they can hold down the other player by the neck and fuck them ceaselessly.
/thread
Bluepoint completely bastardize everything they touch, even meme journalist sites are able to critique their complete disregard for the source material. I would say criticizing Bluepoint is controversial because you always get seething snoys and assblasted consumers freaking out over it.
A lot of PVP in MMOs end up being high level players ganking lowbies because it's no risk-high reward of dopamine which usually ends up killing the server/game. See: How the Horde turned Flamelash into a Horde only PVE server by ganking the Alliance 24/7
Videogames AREN'T art.
Videogames are a SHIT hobby.
You're wasting your time.
I neither get angry when I write them down nor relaxed when I play, I find it annoying at all times.
