Now that the cum has settled, can we all agree this was the best game in the series?

Definitely not but the recent entries almost make this one look like it has soul
almost
It’s not the best but I still enjoyed it overall though it really was the beginning of the end.
ODST was the best Halo
Rekt some newbs on it so it's alright in my book. Campaign was very forgettable though.
It was the last Halo to launch feature complete.
I still don't like the more soap opera direction things took, but I did still enjoy 4's story and campaign - other than the bland ancient evil shit and how they fucked up the lore for the H3 Didact into this convoluted mess.
I got some fun out of the new multiplayer objective modes, but other than that don't really remember the MP being good for much - mostly remember it being riduclous to have PP starts, and the fucking Boltshot being a mini-shotgun on spawn
ODST was the best Max Payne, but it definitely wasn't Halo, what was Bungie thinking...
>I still don't like the more soap opera direction things took
I've replayed MCC recently and honestly it was like that from the beginning. If you approach 4 forgetting all the autistic speculation from before it released, it's actually a pretty reasonable continuation of the story.
Even infinite was better than that garbage fire. Still not as bad as 5 though.

yikes
Penis made into big penis
I've never played this fan game before. Is it any good?
Just tolerable
The Forerunners aliens or whatever the fuck are boring as hell
The Didact and the enemies were lame
The ending sucks
It's melodramatic
But it was at least trying to be a Halo game and honor it's spirit, even if it failed
Also I remember the beginning and some middle areas being a decent enough start, there was just no pay off and the middle was a lot of boring fighting those lame forerunner shits
It was a rhetorical question user. I know it's shit, I don't have to play it to know.
Halo 4 is the only good game in the series.
Unironically yes
t. retard
that game is ass juice
people only bought ODST for the Halo 3 DLC
That's not hard there's only H4, H5, HI
Is this you?
I want mommytana to scold me...
the cum has not settled.
no, and how dare you
It's growing fungus at this point
So why are we fighting Elites again? Did they conveniently forget the fact that their entire religion was a lie and the that the very people that preached it wanted them replaced by space-niggers?
They found Didact to be their new prophet who outright had proof of being a fucking god. Did you play the game?
youtu.be
Uh oh stinky
>Did you play the game?
Thankfully I did not
It has settled. Bungie never gave two shits about Halo.
Yeah, but why elites? Elites were betrayed because they were literally one of the few ones to notice something fishy was going on
>Literal god of your religion comes to you
>user is suspicious that you decide to follow him despite some long-necked fucks lying about him beforehand
Prophets were just jews and Didact was Jesus except bad
>Halo's biggest twist was the Forerunners, who were basically gods, were ancient humans adding tragedy and irony to the war, the Covenant are unknowingly killing the very gods they worship
>Nah Forerunners were just Voldemort look alikes
Fucking lame
>But muh terminals
They were written by Frank O'Cockdonor and two code monkeys, Bungie didn't give a shit about what he wrote
It was the worst one of all if you don’t include 5 as a real halo game.
I find it funny how Didact was the most powerful being this far in the franchise yet he got BTFO'd by literally the worst grenade in the franchise
Even the prophets were tougher
Frank O'Coomer never should have been put in charge.
this was the nail in the coffin for halo, the worst of all retcons
>MUH GEAS
>There are people who unironically believe that reading the books and wiki just to get this scene is worth it
Fucking hell, 343 choosing to get into lore shit was the worst thing to happen to campaigns
YOU ARE THE CULMINATION OF A THOUSAND YEARS OF SNEED
Wheres that one halo image where an autistic user brought up all the biblical references in halo. It had like 4 pages with evidence of things ive been looking for it.
>Bungie disregarded the lore for Reach which made it a shit game
>343 delved too far into the lore for 4 which made it a shit game
Why would you need to read anything to "get" this scene? It's pretty clear what is going on its just a lot at once. The problem is that is fucking cringe and absolutely not at all halo and is more like a shitty fanfic some middle schooler wrote about halo that thought having ancient humans fighting forerunners was super duper cool and epic.
Humans were never "Forerunners" in the original games though.
J-Jiren... if real
Who is this cum extractor?
game was awful, the 360 couldn't handle split screen coop
and the campaigns story made no sense unless you read a bunch of books
>Why would you need to read anything to "get" this scene?
Idk but the ones defending this scene unironically say you must read the books and shit, I just found it extremely out of place
Nigger Sneed.
youtu.be
And don't you fucking say "hurr durr he's le undergoing le rampancy so what he says is irrelevant and nonsensical!" That's just 343 retcon bullshit.
This was actually accurate to all the lore from before
>Humans needed to fire the rings
>Humans called reclaimers because they're reclaiming their lost tech
>YOU'RE FORERUNNER
You mean the shitty fanfic lore 343 made up
>in contact harvest the luminary is picking up signals of forerunner artifacts
>each glyph is actually a human
In the final confrontation in H1 Guilty Spark literally dumps on you that he has confused Master Chief with forerunners and was just so desperate to fire Halo that he ignored the fact that MC was not a forerunner... As for humans being necessary to activate halo array, who the fuck knows where the story was meant to go in H2. Humans weren't explicitly stated to be the only ones who could launch the installation.
>The prophets and 343 GS literally tell humans that they were Forerunner
reach began my disinterest in halo, halo 4 solidified it. shit series since halo of duty reach
343 refers to Master Chief, not humanity
This game's only redeeming factor is Cortana's new design
>I genetically implanted into humanity the seeds that would lead them to evolve to make MJOLNIR armor and smart AIs
this kind of bullshit in stories is always so retarded
>dumps on you that he has confused Master Chief with forerunners and was just so desperate to fire Halo that he ignored the fact that MC was not a forerunner...
The fuck? He never says that, 343 knew MC because it was a leftover from early drafts of the story where it was a Marathon sequel, the idea was that MC travelled back in time and fired Halo for the first time there was even a Marathon level made as a prequel of sorts, but as you can obviously tell Bungie didn't follow through with it
>trilogy sets up forerunners as this ancient, highly advanced race that created all these massive megastructures across the galaxy, making them interesting and building on that interest through mystery
>They're just pigs with hairy penises on top of their heads
Oh sure, that's why Bungie had an entire fucking comic released that had Forerunners and humans be different people.
Cope.
Nah bitch that campaign's a straight snooze fest.
Is that what the 343 books say?
such a kino cutscene
Starting with H2 humans are referred to as reclaimers. I think the idea that humans might be forerunners died before H2 even released
Bungie gave no shits about EU shit and never bothered with it, FFS they shit on it with Reach, the very first piece of Halo lore
>H3 Terminal Didact is the guy who activated the Halo rings
>H4 also has the Didact somehow be the main villain who was sealed away before Halo was fired
>Books have to make up some shit that the H3 Didact was fake, from another forerunner being implanted with the Didact's thoughts
All they had to do was make a different Forerunner the villain of 4 if they really wanted a Forerunner villain. There was no reason to make him the Didact
They were a bit on the nose but generally retained the weird feel of being beyond comprehension, at least for me
