Wow are you the local arbiter of everything? It's a pleasure my king
Balancing is fucked. I get that it doesn't have to be super balanced in PvE, but all of the content is trivial when using spirit summons and without spirit summons it's pretty much the hardest souls game by far.
It doesn't have the amazing physics and elemental reactions of Breath of the Wild that made adventuring through that world so fun. This was jusst here's a map made of wide corridors and skinny corridors, wander around and fight enemies. That's it.
Crafting is almost useless and unnecessary
Rehashed bosses
Bleed is cheats
It's an open world game with no journal system.
>post 1 criticism of this game
Third world poorfags can't play it
no romance options via varre's bouquet weapon
>bosses designed around muh summons
>don't use summons = have fun fighting an infinite stamina boss
>use summons = have fun enjoying a braindead fight
Mitsubishi didn't really thought of his old fanbase.
Its so cute when an NPC thinks theyre the main character
Should have made Melina appear more often at the graces, like for example every time you need to lvl up, her burning at the end would make Farum Azula feel infinitely more lonely
I've posted over 50 flaws in the past weeks.
Elden Ring truly proved that FromSoftware is incapable of comprehending what their true fans enjoyed about their soulsborne games. The pattern is clear now more than ever, any FromSoftware project that has Yui Tanimura involved in anyway, will be either mediocre or garbage. Hidetaka Miyazaki said that with Elden Ring "he had to delegate things to others more than usual" and it shows. Elden Ring is not a good soulsborne game, it is one of the worst, if not the worst:
>Open world causes a lot of padding and time wasting by just running around on your mount looking for the good parts.
>Open world forced them to add a mount and thus mounted combat, which is far inferior to the traditional unmounted combat. Even FromSoftware understood this and disabled mounts in multi-player.
>Open world ruins the traditional progression of difficulty in zones and especially boss fights, the bosses are either too hard because you are underleveld or too easy because you are overleveld, it is an unrefined and unfocused mediocre experience.
>Spirit ashe summon system casualizes the entire game, it is literally an EASY MODE that completely breaks the game and boss AI. Some of the spirit ashe summons at +10 (mimic/tiche/oleg) can solo bosses with you just standing there and watching, doing nothing else. Unlike traditional summons, spirit ashe summons do not give the boss a boost in HP and stats.
Elden Ring outsold all previous FromSoftware soulsborne games COMBINED, it is literally over for FromSoftware ARPGs as we know them. All future ARPG projects by FromSoftware will feature an open world of some sort.
>Third world poorfags can't play it
fall damage
Endgame damage is a bit too high, input queueing is trash and re-used bosses can be a bit annoying. Other than that, there are no legitimate complaints with this game.
The snowfield
The quests are too barebones

what did i win?
Certain questlines feel like they were written poorly and had a lot of potential dialog and events cut
Far too many weapons have bleed attached to them.
80% of the weapons as there are far better versions of the same weapons either earlier or shortly later.
The reliance on the vigor stat is horrible.
Also not remotely as many Ashes of war for fist, whip, and morning star.
fixed camera is unuseable on dragons, gargoyls and big birds. fighting them without fixed camera is also cancerous cause some moves are hard to follow unless you put up the sensivitie to lighting speed.
elk boss killed himself in first playthrough with bugged teleport. otherwise pretty solid game
Bloodhound Step
Multiplayer connectivity is shit. I get DC'd constantly in coop or invasions.
>invasion spawns

baiting?

It's too hard.
true
only a couple are broken
not funny
It's a cool area, don't get the hate
A good mechanic to punish cheesing
The open world is fine
Balance is better now in 1.04
Literally git gud
Agree, it's the easiest souls game by far
Only on pc
It's not that bad
Different games, different goals
Crafting is quite useful actually, disagree with the rest
Doesn't need one
It's on PS4 /Xbone
Not funny
Bosses aren't designed around summons
She has a lot of grace dialogue in early areas, alot of players miss it
The "S team - A team" thing is a myth
I agree, it's really dumb how you go from zero to death in 4 meters
It's mostly fine, most players don't realize you NEED powerful armor to tank in lategame
I agree, it's a weak zone
They are equal or better to all earlier soulsborne quests
Input reading is fine
I think they're mosty fine
Elden Beast
Dung eater quest was really underwhelming
Opening would have been better if they played the trailer CG.
Crafting materials are way too scarce and hurt the ability to experiment with builds.
I didn't play it, it looks like more Dark Souls 3 and I do not like Dark Souls 3
Im playing it right now with a i3+gtx 750ti at 30fps 1600x900 resolution
Also pirated it

I HATE DUO BOSSES I HATE DUO BOSSES
I WILL SUMMON FOR THEM
I WILL CHEESE THEM
FUCK YOU
TAIGA HATE
Would be nice if it showed when you'd cleared dungeons on the map
Smiting stones. Either make them buyable sooner or cut down the amount you need to upgrade.
UI text too small
based
I found myself just googling what i need for my build for new playthroughs. At first, exploration was fun and exciting, but once you've explored most things, you realize 80 percent of the map is kind of a waste of time depending on your build.
please post the 50 list, I wanna read
Did you miss the scene where Blaidd penetrates your ass?
$60 was to much to pay for a shit open world and reskinned boss simulator x3.9dmg mod the game.
Open world
Ash summons
Lack of faith weapons early game and abundance of them late game
Bleed
Repetitive side dungeons
Repetitive monsters
Repetitive bosses
Meta jokes
Not enough enemy variant
inb4
>well then dont explore if you dont want to waste time!
except then you wont find a lot of unique loot stuffed in one of the dozens of rehashed dungeons
>>well just dont do mounted combat if you dont like it!!
they spent resources implementing it, that could have been spent elsewhere
>>just dont summon for fights!
except bosses are clearly balanced around having summons
In an attempt to balance for players taking different paths through the game huge chunks of it are comically easy in a purely numerical sense. As in bosses that can't hurt you and die in 3 or 4 swings. It's very disappointing to get to the end of a dungeon expecting a cool fight only to pancake the boss and see half it's life disappear on your first attack.
It is not a list, but I make it into one.
lmao pops this is not the 2000s anymore, literally every single zoomer 3rd worlder has a gaming pc now.
I want more varied movesets for weapons. Some weapon classes feel like there's barely any weapon differences other than slight scaling changes.
Also I hate the curved greatsword moveset in ER. It was my favorite weapon class in their other games
This.
Also Vyke doesn't invade me, the fucker.
Game's too large for its own good, and way too frontloaded with content that gets recycled ad nauseum later on. On the other hand, the game's the opposite of frontloaded with gear.
Does not respect your time. If you are an avid explorer, the game punishes you by throwing recycled assets in your face, diminishing the value of bosses.
The amount of recycling makes it seem like FROM intended for players to miss out on some content; but this is contradicted by two the fact that you'll often need to gain more runes to level up, making dungeons a good alternative to farming, and that they contain a lot of unique loot. However, due to their sheer number in the game, there's a big chance the one you just found is bad or not worth it.
Due to the nature of the open world, balance is all over the place.
it does open world better than most games, but i prefer no open world. also it gets tedious after leyndell. mountaintops of giants seems rushed. give me more reaper weapons
also copy paste bosses. i wouldn't have cared as much if it made sense like crucible knights because lore wise there are like 12 of them or something; but copy pasting fucking astel into a random ass dungeon or the big bull two horned thing? it's retarded
Great Runes are a waste of a good idea
not really a criticism, but i prefered ds3
this
Fucking casualized trash
Mediocre and overhyped
FromSoft casualized Elden Ring way too much, its insane how easy the game. No wonder the game is doing so good, every single faggot can finish the game no problems.
Too anime
On one hand, FROM wanted to broaden their audience; it's a new IP so newcomers dont feel intimidated by the "Dark Souls" difficulty, but there are so many things that contradict this effort;
The game's onboarding for a new player is atrocious, people have a hard time with the tutorials and control schemes.
The game does not signpost quests whatsoever, and oftentimes NPCs go to retarded places that make no sense. Boc telling you he's going to a coastal cave is good signposting, there's a shore nearby with a cave, you'll use common sense to find him easily... but what reason do you have to think that Dallios would go to the jar village?
The game has too many NPCs and this, combined with the previous point and the fact that their quests are very vague, makes people want to look quests up because they realise at some point that they break after certain boss battles.
Also, due to the sheer size and open world aspect of the game, the chance of you just stumbling upon an NPC is very small, so there is now more of a chance that you'll break quest lines unintentionally. This is not a big problem, but what IS a big problem is that oftentimes the way quests break is pretty nonsensical, so it feels unfair and sometimes it locks you out of getting a unique item that you would have wanted to use for your build.
Dark Souls 1 is already open world
Yea Forumsros, I'm bad at Elden Ring. Where the fuck do I go
